This is a canvas safari tent with a woodstove, comfortable bed, carpet, tables, and chair to get you off the ground, and sleeping in style. Situated on a rock outcropping overlooking the pond with built in firepit and easy access to our bathhouse and bait shop. It is not 100% bug or critter proof, so please don't leave food or trash out. Amenities include solar powered lights, and charging station. If you want to camp with friends, you can rent the Woodchopper's Overlook Tent Site next door, and have a group campout. #1 Cabin Béla has a traditional feel with all the modern amenities. This riverside A-frame has a full bathroom with standup shower. Inside is kitchenette with retro studio fridge, microwave, small sink, and coffee maker; queen sized bed; full-sized sleeper sofa; recliner; Roku TV; and dining area. This cabin has energy efficient mini-split unit for heating and cooling. Good for one to four guests in two beds, all linens provided. Enjoy a family movie/game night or crack open the doors and listen to the steam reading a book. Our property has hiking and two streams meet behind our stocked fishing pond. Our tiny local community is amazing! We have made-from-scratch diner and large convenience store right outside our gate. Located in our communal Vintage VIP section of camp is Beauty our VW Weekender Westfalia Wolfsburg edition camper van. Beauty is a restoration in process and not perfect. She is meant for romantics who appreciate things with some age and who know how to treat a delicate lady. As such, we do not allow pets or children at this site type. She and her neighbor Gypsy Gene share a fire pit under the trees and have a view of the pond, as well as, our resident goats, and is a two minute walk from our lovely bath house and camp store. This listing is just for Beauty for Gypsy Gene our ‘56 Little Gem trailer, please see that listing. They are the pride and joy of Camp Holly owner and vintage enthusiast Misha. Previously, this section of camp was reserved for our friends and family, but we feel its too cool not to share. Beauty may have a scratch here or there, but she has been thoroughly detailed and is soo cute, clean, and cozy. When set up for sleeping she has a bed made for two snugglers below and a pull-out bed in the pop top above if you aren't co-sleeping. During the day the lower bed may be folded back upright into a bench and the table popped up for dining and computer work. If you want perfection look elsewhere, but if you want a nostalgic camping experience in the cool trees, to share smores/bourbon by the fire with like minded folk, and fall asleep listing to the creek, she's the gal for you! Currently, Beauty has no water or electric, although she soon will be outfitted with a wee bit of solar power. We strive to tailor your perfect camping experience and can boondock her in various other locations around camp for an additional fee by calling us. While it may get hot during the day in the daytime, our location in the river valley makes for cool nights usually. So, pack a sweater and a sleeping bag and come experience our little slice of Almost Heaven WV!

Cabin Amalia is a family built cabin with lumber milled onsite. Sleeps up to four and has a full bath with standup shower. It is located in the Alpenglow Village in the treelined beside Grassy Creek and is near our resident goats and the bathhouse. The cabin was built as an artist retreat with lots of windows and stream views. The cabin accommodates up to four guests with its queen sized bed and twin daybed. Like all our A-frames, it was built for our family and guest to enjoy and the décor reflects the unique personality of one of our children and houses their treasures. We ask that you respect their space and things as you would your own family's space. Linens are provided.

Currently, Beauty has electric only. The fridge with its tiny freezer works great, but for insurance purposes the stove is not in operation. Her little sink isn't in operation at this time, but we hope it will be soon. She comes outfitted with a retro oscillating fan and a ceramic heater which keep her very comfortable most nights. Even in the heat of summer we generally have cool evenings, so, pack a sweater and a sleeping bag and come experience our little slice of Almost Heaven WV!

Adjacent to the Glampin tent is our Glamping yurt where you have a birds eye view of the campground. This has a queen bed, two chairs, a table, solar lights, and a short walk from the bathhouse. The site has gravel and mulch and there is a firepit and picnic table, and tucked back into the hill . This space can accommodate one vehicle, and has no water or electric. A beautiful bath house is a 3 min walk down a small hill, and the outhouse is similar distance towards the back country. Easy access and view to the lake, with cool nights and large space makes this an awesome place to camp. This is a perfect add-on for camping with friends in the neighboring Glampin' Tent. Call us to book both at the same time.

Cabin #3 Francis - Family Bunkhouse

#3 Cabin Frances is our family style bunkhouse with full bath. It has a queen sleeping loft and two bunkbeds giving it that summer camp feel. A relaxed space for kids of all ages to sit up talking and playing cards. The space boasts a full bath, and sitting room to overlook the river out back. This cabin has fans and space heaters to keep you comfortable. Francis can accommodate up to six guests with its bunk beds and loft. Want to bring a bed roll or cot and add a guest you are welcome to do so. The ladder to the loft may not be suitable for children or those with mobility issues. Please bring your own towels and linens, the mattresses only have covers.

Pondside cabin at Camp Holly

The pondside cabin is the nicest rental available at Camp Holly with full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room. It has all the amenities you need for a home away from home including heat/AC, Roku TV in two rooms, bathtub shower, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, pots, pans, and linens. Wake up in the morning overlooking the pond out the kitchen window or on the porch swing. This cabin sleeps four comfortably in a queen bed with private room, or on the pull out sleeper sofa. Maximum occupancy of 8 people and it is pet friendly. It is located between the river and the fishing pond with easy access to all of camp.

Located behind the pond at the confluence of Brushy Creek and the Holly River in our Fisherman's Village are our confluence campsites. Beauty and water activities abound in these sites on the property. They are suitable for two small tents, or one larger (9x11) tent with two to four people. Each site has a fire ring and a shared picnic table at the confluence common area. Three sites are directly beside the streams, and one is up on higher ground nestled between Holly River and the Pond. Its about a 5 minute walk back from the camp store and bathhouse around the pond. There is no water or electric, and you will have to pack your stuff a short ways into camp or ask us to tractor it back for you. It is our goal to provide a unique camping experience based on your needs, wants, and amount of people in your party. All sites are waterfront, some are more secluded than others. Call us to find the perfect fit.

Our Gypsy Group Camping Site is located in the Backcountry Village by the Holly River next to the hammock hostel. It is conveniently located near the outhouse, and only about a five minute walk past the pond to the camp store and bath house. 4-wheel drive is required to get one vehicle in, but we can help you tractor things to the site if you ask. There is a large fire pit in the middle and one at the site. A common picnic table is shared in the space, as is the beach and swimming area during higher water. This is a great place for medium sized groups of friends to all camp together. It is also considered general admission* camping during festivals, and events. Feel free to bring your horses or pets, just be sure to clean up after them. *This area is designated general admission camping when applicable. Site 31 - Lovers Lane Backcountry Tent Site

Named such because there is a heart shaped hole in a tree at the end of the trail. These two secluded sites are not just for lovers, but friends as well. A 2-3 minute walk from our outhouse and 7 minute walk from our bathhouse and bait shop over two hills leads you back to farthest point in camp along the Holly River. With a swimming hole, and undercut rock you can relax outside of the wifi zone listening to the water. An outhouse is just a short walk down the trail, and you are on a dead end path unless you care to bushwhack uphill to connect to the hiking path. This space is suitable for two people and a smaller 6x8ish tent. There are two campsites along the trail, each with a fire pit and rocks. Its a bit of a hike back there up two small hills, but we are happy to help tractor stuff back for you.Come hide away at the back of camp, nestled next to the Holly River.

Overall, it was a good experience but the sites were pretty close and didn’t have much privacy. We loved the ability to shower and have eggs the next morning. We wished the market was open in the morning or someone was available. We payed for wood and took two pieces but again no one was around to tell us how much we should take or have. We paid for fishing but the pole wasn’t working and no one was there to talk about the problem. My boys still loved feeding the fish in the pond and finding skinks. We would return but be more assertive when someone came around. They were super kind when we did see them.

Heaven @ Camp Holly

What a treasure Camp Holly was. Found the spot for a weekend girls camping trip. There were chickens running free, goats running around and kayaks and canoes available. It was such a cute little spot. Kylee, the host, was phenomenal. So hospitable. I don’t know if the weekend would have been so great if not for her. Can’t wait to go back next year with the younger kiddos to enjoy the property more. And of course, visit our girl Kylee (and Emma, of course!!)

This is a nice hipcamp with a heated bath house - there are 4 complete bathrooms with showers. We had full hook up for our small camper. There is a pond. Upon entering the site, we were met by the host who directed us to our site and was helpful with providing necessary information. We camped here for one night on a weekday in early October. There was significant road noise as log trucks were working hard to get as many loads as possible before winter.

The tent was far from glamp😞 Needs lots of work to be considered glamping ! But I did move over to there A frame cabin, and that was sufficient. I would suggest bringing your own coffee cup & Paper towels Also drinking water

WV winner 🏆

This place is am absolute gem! 10 out of 10. A creek, a pond, on site hiking trails. There are goats, chickens, and a really cool duck. Sites are spacious and well thought out. The vibe is top notch. Zave knows how to be a great host. Thank you for sharing Zave. If you are ever in PA Grand Canyon country, I'd love to return the favor.

We had a great time at Camp Holly. There was a lot to do to keep everyone busy, from canoeing to fishing to feeding the animals to simply relaxing by the fire. The kids were sad to leave, so that should explain how much fun it was!

Confluence Site 16

We spent a long weekend at site 16 and it was a great stay! This is not a drive up site, maybe a minute or 2 walk from your car but the host has a cart you can use for your gear and we knew this going in. Not an electric site but we also knew this and it was great to be able to unplug for the weekend. Our kids are 8 and 6 and they were screen free the whole time and we didn’t hear “we’re bored” once. They loved swimming in the confluence right in front of the tent, and then fishing in the stocked pond on the other side. My 6 year old was stoked catching probably 15 bluegill and my 8 year old even caught a trout! The bathhouse was super nice and clean, and they have wifi available around campstore even though we didn’t use it to know how far it could be used away. We had a set back in leaving first day due to the youngest having a concert at school so we ended up not arriving till dark, the host was super understanding and pointed us in the right direction to a cart to move our stuff from the car. Great host and campground overall!

Little piece of heaven

We absolutely enjoyed our weekend camping at the gypsy site! The site was perfect with a good amount of shade and river access! It was absolutely beautiful. Xavier and his family were very welcoming and super helpful! The bathhouse is the nicest bathhouse we’ve ever seen at a campground! We will definitely be returning 🤍

Beautiful spot. A hidden gem really, (likely because it is some distance off the main road). Coming in from the north the directions were spot on. The camp assistant was super friendly and helpful. I may have to go back and spend more time to explore the Holly River and try some fishing.

Amazing property.

We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Holly. It exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived Kylie made us feel right at home. Kylie went above and beyond and provided us with helpful local information. The facility has a homely feel and the farm animals are fun not to mention the trout fishing. The facilities are very clean and the bathhouses are super cool. The owner’s passion and love for his property is very evident. We highly recommend this property.

Cold Camping

I can see why this place was a finalist in one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023. It's so beautiful being on top of the mountains and having little buddies at your site. There are sweet animals here at the site! From goats to chickens to ducks to a cat named Felix. upon my arrival, the residential neighbor across the river provided me with warm chocolate chip cookies to enjoy! Truly an experience worthwhile. I booked my stay during one of the colder weeks of West Virginia weather, I mean I had the snow go up my shins it was that deep. This place has great amenities, during my stay, the water froze up, however, I received so many things and tips and tricks to stay warm during my stay. Xavier accommodated everything that I needed to beat the cold and wished me luck. It was truly a blessed experience and I will hopefully be back for more hikes and camping soon!

Best small town getaway!!!

To say our stay at the riverside A-frame cabin was worth the roadtrip would be an understatement. Driving in from seeing family in Chicago we were really looking forward to a relaxing few days in the mountains. Xavier had the cabin already heated (it was a very cold and snowy January) before we even got there; which really set the stage for a cozy few nights watching the snow cascade across the mountains. We even had our residential neighbors across the river stop by to drop off warm Chocolate Chip Cookies to enjoy. Xavier told us about the cool history of the property, up and coming festivals/events they’ll be hosting in the summer, and local trails to hike in the area. After the fresh baked cookies we went on a mission for campfire s’mores. Xavier told us about the local store just around the corner and breakfast diner next door. Needless to say we had a campfire (from the wood we bought at the campgrounds), toasted marshmallows, and too many s’mores shortly after our trip to the store. Also, feeding the goats on the campgrounds was just another icing on the cake. On our way out we finally hit up the local diner for breakfast and as expected…they were the sweetest and funniest people on the trip. Everyone in this lil town was so happy and easygoing it was just the break we needed from all the everyday distractions. It’s definitely our new favorite go to getaway cabin/campgrounds. Thanks so much for a great experience Xavier!

We loved our stay at the A frame! It was so cute and Zave is an excellent host! Even though we went on a pretty cold night, we stayed nice and cozy with the heat going + watched movies on netflix! Having wifi was such a nice bonus also!

A Truly Magic School Bus

This was the best vacation I have ever taken. The farm was lovely and walking around the pond was incredibly relaxing. There was even a swing in the trees to sit and read in! The farm animals were very sweet and happy to interact with people (especially Felix the cat). The bus was adorable, sporting a hot plate and vintage tea kettle with instant coffee provided, and the space heater kept it toasty in the mid-autumn chill. All of that said, the absolute highlight of the trip was the host, Xavier. What an incredibly kind and considerate human! I enjoyed our chats throughout the day and felt very comfortable asking for anything I needed. He also pointed out several attractions in the area (specifically the Home Town Diner, which was fantastic) and made it clear that this peaceful place was open and welcoming to ALL. I will absolutely be back!

Beautiful Glamping Experience!

This was a beautiful campground, and the owner was incredibly friendly and accomodating. We actually upgraded to one of the A-frames after a cold night, so I can review both! The glamping tent was sturdy and well-kept, and has a wood stove for colder nights. We got in late and didn't bother getting firewood, which is probably the biggest reason we got chilly. It's in a nice private location up the road and overlooking the lake, but still a short and easy walk from the bathhouses. The A Frame was by far our favorite, absolutely worth the extra cost. It was tidily furnished with beds, a writing desk, hardwood floors, and cute kitchenette hardware. We had a space heater to keep us cozy and an indoor toilet, so we didn't have to walk out into the cold. There's an AC unit as well for the warmer months. Both of us fell in love with the decor and view of the babbling brook running behind it. We were in between two other A-frames, but never heard any noise from the neighbors and felt like we still had our privacy. The bath house are three toilet+shower units in one. The middle was labeled staff, and the other two were unoccupied every time I went to use them. Very clean, well stocked, and warm. Again, the host is incredibly friendly, has good recommendations for day trips, and checked in with us each morning we visited the camp store to make sure our stay was comfortable. Definitely going back :)
