Safe, quiet and convenient
Peaceful and quiet place to park our RV. Host was accommodating and helpful. We came and went as we pleased. Felt safe and welcome. Horses were very sweet and loved the carrots! Highly recommend.
I reserved spots here for a group of us traveling from Portland for bioluminescence paddle (kayak) trip. We had a nice stay, came and went as we pleased. Bethanne was very flexible about where we set up tent in the pastures. I loved being near the horses, although we chose not to sleep in the pasture With the horse due to challenge of making a clearing from horse poo—not to mention my boyfriends concern for the safety of his tent, haha! Loved visiting with the dog too. He’s mischievous and funny!
There IS a porta potty at the edge of the driveway, no need to wait for Bethanne to be home to toilet!
Bethanne was great about getting back to us with answers to questions.
Horses and nature!
I loved it! Camping right next to the horses was wonderful! I was the only one on site and I found it peaceful and relaxing. Remember, you are camping in a horse pasture and all the comes with it. It did not bother me in the least! Watch for the big ant nest, very obvious and very interesting. The ants have highways and simply avoid them and you will have not problem. I will be back! Thank you for the great experience!
We had an awesome stay here on our skateboarding journey across Washington state! Was such a relaxing place to make camp half way through the trip. The host was so friendly and the spot was absolutely beautiful.
Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
Bethanne responded for a same day booking at 9pm, and after a couple of questions confirmed our stay! If you are also from out of town, know that the Walmarts in this area are not overnight van friendly (security trucks circle the lots and ask you to move). We were in a pinch and Bethanne quickly responded with efficient directions. We were able to work the next morning using our wifi hotspot no problem too! I wish we were staying longer than just the one night because we definitely would’ve taken her up on horseback riding! 10/10 recommend!
Friendly host, friendly animals
Bethanne was responsive and super easy going. We also meet dog Ryder, who made friends with our dog and they chased each other all over for what's felt like forever. Rocket slept well that night!
Would recommend, may stay again if we find a reason to be near Lakewood again.
Oh, and we got a super cool bonus too! Every night at 10:02PM, nearby Joint Base Lewis-McChord played Taps, and given our proximity to the base, we heard it clearly.
What made it especially incredible that first night was about halfway through the song, some "backup singers" joined us from the nearby forest... The howls of these "backup singer" coyotes continued for a bit even after the base stopped broadcasting when the song ended. Really neat experience!
The most fun camping and riding!
My husband and I brought our two grandchildren for their first horseback riding experience. They are 5 and 6yrs old.. we all had a wonderful time and Bethanne couldn’t be more kind and gentle just like her horses. She has 28yrs experience with everything you can imagine that has to do with horses. We are definitely coming back again, hopefully in the fall. Thank you Bethanne!
This was a wonderful spot to camp. The horses are friendly and the hosts are too. There is a dog named Ryder who is a sweetheart.
The property is straightforward and easy. It’s clean and quaint.
