Camping at this site offers a beautiful blend of privacy and accessibility, making it a preferred choice for families and groups. Visitors frequently commend Hazelanna, the host, for her attentiveness and warmth, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well-informed. The proximity to the Cowlitz River is a highlight, with many enjoying activities like floating, paddleboarding, and simply relaxing by the water. While the weather can be unpredictable, the charm of the site and the well-maintained facilities, including exceptionally clean porta-potties, often leave campers planning their next visit before they even leave.
We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this Hipcamp. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, and it’s clear they’ve poured their heart and soul into this property, which has been in their family for five generations. Our group, consisting of five families with young toddlers, had a wonderful time exploring the fields and playing in the sand. Even the adults got to enjoy floating down the stunning river on the property, despite it being late September. The photos truly don’t do this place justice, and we will definitely be back. The campsites are well spaced out, so even though we were the only ones there during our stay, it would still be a perfect getaway even if fully booked. We couldn’t recommend this place more!
We had the BEST time at rabbit hollow. So much space for our larger party. Camp host was wonderful, accommodating and kind. We will return next year for more adventures here! Thank you!
Amazing serene spot, my pup and I hung out by the river all morning. I plan on bringing a group of friends soon since the tent site was so spacious. Host is amazing and accommodating and has a beautiful property that I got an opportunity to experience.
This was, by far, our best Hipcamp experience yet! The property was just AMAZING. My kids and I hung out all day by the river and enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking and playing in the sand. In the early evening we would walk up to the grassy field, where we could still see the river, while we made dinner and enjoyed our propane fire pit. The host is was kind and welcoming. Definitely coming back to this spot!
Hazelanna was a very gracious wonderful host, making sure all of our needs were met.
Site grp 4 is large with a beautiful view. It felt very private. Close access to the river for us and other campers. ( no problems with that!) Port a pottys were very clean and kept stocked.
This was my favorite experience! Floating the River, trees, rocks, stars,,, and even a few soft moo’s of cows in the distance!
We loved our stay at Bigfoots Den and found the site more than adequate for our small trailer. Our host, Hazelanna, was so kind and kept us informed of all the amenities at the camp. I had fun exploring on my bike and with my dogs through the 70 acre site,
Highly recommend !
The campsite was very well maintained and the views were gorgeous. We had a large group next to another large group but we were far enough away we didn't get bothered by any noise
What a special spot. Private access to the river. Really large private camping spots well spaced out from the other campers. We were at BigFoot den and the shade from the trees was great for the especially hot weekend. We also all really enjoyed the float on the river. We had a bunch of kids with us and appreciated that the river felt pretty safe. Like a lazy river float. Safe for all ages! Host was very responsive in planning and meeting requests like for a 2nd table at the site for our large group. We will be back!
I had an amazing time camping at Hazelanna’s property! The sites are private but allow you to be social if you’d like. The instructions and signs around the property were so helpful, clear, and kind. Floating the river was so relaxing and having floats on site made it so easy, especially because I forgot one! Everything was so clean and well appointed. Being able to walk next to the cows in the next door field was definitely a highlight! And Hazelanna was so kind and helpful. I would highly recommend her space to anyone, especially for families and gatherings. It’s an amazing place!
Wonderful atmosphere! Our family had so much fun exploring, picking blackberries and splashing around riverside. The camp was clean, spacious between camp sights and had plenty to do on property. We look forward to our next booking.
After determining Bobcat Den not for us with a trailer, Hazelanna checked other availability and escorted us to Horseshoe Bend beach front heaven!
The river, beach, and privacy out weighs any dustiness! Clean, lots of space and a fantastic hostess. Grateful she shares her beautiful land.
My partner and I had a wonderful time camping together with our pups on Hazelanna’s beautiful land! She was so kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We stayed at Bobcat den and no neighbors at the nearby “dens” made it so secluded and private. Very little noise came from some of the beach sites during the day, but no bother to us at all. There were loads of wild plums and blackberries to pick too! It was a little too chilly for us to float the river, but there is a great setup for it if it’s hot out. We can’t wait to come back and explore more!
Hazelanna is a great host, and our Meadow's Edge was an awesome site for us. Great space above the river with a huge oak tree for shade. Easy walk to two beach access options where you can hang out in the water or launch your float. For EV campers, a huge plus is the Chargepoint station less than 1/4 mile from the campground.
This was my first time camping with my 11yr twin boys. We had an awesome time! Hazelanna was super friendly and helpful. There was tons of space between sites and we enjoyed a lot of privacy. “Berry patch” is next to a grassy field that’s great for playing catch, and it has a nice view of the river. The site had a picnic-style table which was a blessing. Floating down the river was the highlight. We carried our inflatable boat (from Big 5) across the field to enter the river upstream, and floated for 30mins down the river, exiting right at our camp site. We will be back for sure!
This was a dream of a campsite! It felt very private nestled in the trees. You have beach access at the hammock heaven site and a porta potty right next to it. The hosts were very kind and even dropped some fresh picked grapes for us. We had a great time playing at the river. We can’t wait to come back.
This was an _incredible_ campsite on the bluff right above the Cowlitz River. Water access was a short walk away. Hazelanna was a fantastic host that cared about our experience and even had scavenger hunts and things for the kids. The porta-potties were super clean. Absolutely want to return and do it again.
Hazelanna property is a gem she’s is a spectacular host we was at the Elk Corner during Labor Day weekend that site fit 30 people easily, the site is a mixture of dirt and grass and we was overlooking the Cowlitz River
Amazing place. So beautiful and peaceful, plus the fun of playing in the Cowlitz River. Hazelanna is a wonderful, caring host. I dry camped in my trailer. Sites are clean and all have something unique to offer. Cleanest port a potties I have ever encountered. It was also very convenient that I was able to fill my fresh water tank at the gate entrance. Truly a slice of heaven and wonderful respite from the craziness of life. I cannot thank Hazelanna and her husband enough for sharing their beautiful property. I will definitely be back.
The berry patch was amazing 10/10 recommend . If you have littles running back to camp to the water I suggest aqua shoes with a thick sole (berry bushes have thorns). Super clean property . We loved it so much we came back twice within 4 weeks. Great for stargazing & the honey bucks are always clean and stocked. I’m truly in awe of this place . And our host is amazing truly a gem. We’ll be back for sure. Already planning next years trips and many more to come !!
The site was clean, bathroom impecible! There wasn’t grass on our campground but just above where dogs enjoyed the open area. The river and its beach were wide and enjoyable. The owner was present and made sure we had maps and info of the area. You can tell much love and care is taken for the property! I don’t recommend the site if it rains at all!
Due to a brief heavy rain just before we arrived, we could not get our beast of an RV to the Point site. Hazelanna was very understanding and gracious. She toured the whole property with us in the pickup we tow and suggested an alternative which actually turned out to work much better for our family than the site we originally selected. She checked on us at least daily during our stay and I enjoyed our conversations. We were able to have a nice campfire with would Hazelanna provided. The property is beautiful and we will likely stay again, when I make my summit attempt of Mt. Ranier!
This was Amazing stay! Great location. The site rabbit hollows had great river access perfect balance of shade and sun. Very peaceful. And Hazelanna was so accommodating. Great stay will definitely return!
We tent camped here and it was perfect we had a wonderful view of the river and the land and mountains around us. Hazelanna’s and her husbands land was so beautiful they were very welcoming of us and helpful when it came to needing an air pump and directions! My group had a great time in the river and exploring the land we will definitely be coming back.
