Creekside - Kolob Gate Gardens

It rained on the day I was supposed to camp, this normally wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that the campsite is unkept causing the roads extremely muddy making me prone to get stuck in a front wheel drive car. I requested a refund but the owner ghosted me after telling me it's fine for two wheel cars so I just want to say this person is terrible and don't purchase from them because if anything happens causing you to worry about your safety you are SOL.

Site 7 - CAMPSITE

Travis has a beautiful property in the Kolob canyon area, close tio Zion NP. A lot of care and thought has clearly gone into getting the property set up, it was super peaceful and pretty. Campsite 7 was quite private and still close to the river. Would stay again!

Good camping, maybe overpriced

This location was nice, it was 20 min from Zion South entrance. The creek was lovely to sleep next to with the white soothing noise of a babbling brook. The ground was soft on the sandy campground, but we could still hear the cars whizzing by on the country road nearby. There's a porta potty and a gas heated shower that took me a bit to figure out. When we first drove to our spot there was a giant pig sniffing around the campsite, but it ran away and we never saw or heard it again. There was a nice picnic table to use for dinner and actually we used it to lay on to stargaze for a bit. Overall this place was a good campground and possibly the closest one to Zion's main entrance, but I think a bit overpriced for what it is.

Rad Weekend Getaway

We had a great time camping at Travis’ site! Everything was easy to find and as the listing said. Bathrooms were clean, shower house was awesome and the setting was perfect for a home base while riding the local trails. We will definitely be camping there again.

Best camping of the trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at campsite #4, Kolob Gardens. The site could not have been better, the privacy, the view and the sound of the creek made for our best camping experience on this trip. We also appreciated Brent's hospitality. Travis was able to be flexible when our plans had to change We had planned to spend one night at the campground in Zion, but we decided to stay put and stay a second night at Kolob Gardens.

The owner came out and introduced himself and gave us a little bit of info about the surrounding areas and what they had to offer. Over all I look forward to coming back. I’m not used to the dirt but again overall my family really enjoyed the place. Thank you!

Great spot is a scenic valley. Close to Zion national Park. If you are into mountain biking the original redbul rampage trail ends just across the road. Cool.

This campsite was better than we were expecting. We originally booked because of the proximity to Zion but this site was an added bonus to our trip. Site 4 was nestled under big beautiful trees and close enough to the creek that we fell asleep to the sound of the water at night and watched our sons hunt for frogs during the day. That bathroom was super clean and really convenient. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Kolob Gate Gardens. We arrived in the dark during a small evening concert. The host invited us to attend and it was so lovely. The accommodations were perfect and as described. The setting is beautiful and the location was great. Would happily stay again!!

I definitely recommend this camp, and would return to it if I could! The sites are fairly far apart from each other, have picnic tables and fire rings, soft sandy paths. The port-o-johns are spaced out so it's never a long walk- and the one we visited was a 6 out of 5 star potty- the only one I've ever been in that smells really good. There is a gorgeous babbling brook running through the property which I wish I had more time to explore. The owner's communication was well done, everything was easy.

Great Camp to Connect with Nature!

I loved the view and the trails that they had available. And most importantly the area was clean and Travis was just amazing greeting us and providing us some wood just in case we ran out! The weather was just amazing too! The campsite is big enough for a trailer, tv, and or Tent! One more thing to mention is that the orange cat that Travis had is so adorable and so friendly! Thank you for everything Travis I enjoyed everything!

I was pleasantly surprised by Kolob Gate Gardens. It’s a beautiful property just far enough off Highway 9 but not too far. It was easy to find, but I found the entrance very confusing. Lots of forks in the single road in. The campsite was marked ok, but I drove past it on my arrival and had to figure out turning around with my small camper. I never met the host Travis but did meet the property owner who was very kind. There were a number of people staying who knew either the host or his wife. Kind of a gathering. I was made aware of the evening activities which included under the stars karaoke. Would have been fun to participate but I was just too tired from my drive. In the morning flute music played as part of an awakening ceremony which was also a nice touch. They are working on creating a garden on the property and it has a really fun hippy vibe if you’re open to it.

Just a suggestion: there is a need for much better directions. We arrived after dark and couldn’t find the blue shed they were talking about and signs were few and far between. There was also a festival going on which wasn’t mentioned at all to me when I booked or anytime before I arrived.

I would not recommend this site for anyone looking for a quiet or private experience. There seem to be a number of permanent campers living there who are rather rowdy and accosted us to the point we no longer felt safe. We packed up and left shortly after getting set up. Additionally the sites are right on top of each other and I could here the vulgar discussions of the folks next door. And the ants. Man there are a lot of red ants. I’d recommend any of the other near by locations above this place.
