The only Private Outdoor Rock Climbing Park in Utah IMPORTANT: All climbers must bring their own climbing equipment. There is no equipment at the property for rent or purchase. Crawdad Canyon is one of the only privately owned, outdoor rock climbing parks in the USA. Our unique climbing park offers much cooler temps, which allows you to climb all day, even on hot days in the desert. This is because our intimate canyon offers loads of shade and always has a cool breeze off the Santa Clara River. Located in Southern Utah, just minutes from St George, we have 234 bolted climbing routes in solid basalt walls, scaling up to 85 feet high. Routes range in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13, so there’s something for all ages and skill levels. You’ll find brass plaques at the base of each climb, with the name and rating of each climb. We’ve had rock climbers from more than 25 different countries climb our canyon walls here in Veyo! Add rock climbing to your family reunion, company party, or private event! Ask about group discounts. MAKE SURE TO READ THE FOLLOWING: •All of our visitors must sign a liability waiver. There is no equipment at the property for rent or purchase. Catching crawdads is one of the most popular activities in our canyon! It’s a blast for all ages! There’s no better way to unplug your kids from the digital world and connect with nature. Our river has a much larger population of crawdads because there are tons of small, warm springs flowing into the water. This makes our stretch of the river warmer than normal, which encourages a greater number of crawdads. Bring your own gear or purchase one of our specially assembled Crawdad Catching Kits. We hand-make our own crawdad catching poles, which will surely help you reel in the big ones. Our crawdad catching kits are just $15 and include the following gear: •Crawdad Catching Pole •Crawdad Bucket •Crawdad Net •Crawdad Bait •Crawdads can be caught year-round, yet they are more active and easier to catch in the spring, summer, and fall. We are a Catch-and-Release property. We ask our visitors to leave all crawdads in the river since they won’t survive outside of their natural habitat. Thank you! Crawdads are friendly creatures, yet their pinchers can grab your fingers so be careful! LODGING •Vacation Home 8 - 12 Guests Stay in Veyo's historic farmhouse originally build by some of Veyo's original settlers. No, if you come to go rock climbing in our canyon, you need to provide your own climbing equipment and/or guides. 2. How much does it cost to enter the canyon? Our all-day Canyon Access Pass is $16 per person. Check out our Discount Punch Passes to save up to 50% on Canyon Access. This includes all activities in the canyon except Camping, which requires an additional nightly fee per campsite. 3. Can I park in the Canyon? It depends. The county and local fire department restrict how many vehicles are allowed in the canyon. As a result, vehicles are only allowed if you reserve a campsite or picnic site. 4. Why do I have to sign a wavier to enter the property? Our insurance carrier requires each person to sign a Liability Waiver. All adults must sign for themselves. Minors are required to have their parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf before accessing the canyon. Our waiver is available online: Sign Waiver Now 5. Can I have a fire at my campsite/picnic site? Campers are only allowed to have fires if they are in covered fire pits. We provide a fire pit with each campsite/picnic site reservation. The Ultimate Campsite (#8) is the only site that allows for an open-flame fire because this fire pit is located against the cliffs. 6. What are your hours of operation? Click Here to see our hours of operation. Our restaurant, Lava Grill, is open daily from 11:00am-6:00pm. 7. Do you have showers? Yes, we recently remodeled our showers and added hot water. Enjoy! 8. Can I bring my own food into the canyon and at the pool? Yes, we allow you to bring your own food. However, most people love eating at our famous restaurant in the canyon (Lava Grill). We serve lunch, dinner, and snacks. NO GLASS is allowed in the pool area – no exceptions! 9. Is alcohol allowed on the property? Yes, alcohol is allowed, yet only in certain areas. Alcohol is not allowed in the pool area. However, you may have it at your campsite/picnic site. 10. Is smoking allowed on the property? No smoking is allowed in the canyon. We request that you go to the top of the canyon to smoke so it doesn’t disturb our non-smoking customers. 11. Are animals allowed on the property? No animals, including dogs, may be brought into the Canyon, with the exception of ADA Service Animals. Please see the ADA FAQ page for details on what qualifies as a service animal. There is a nightly fee of $35 for dry camping or parking your rig in this area. 13. Do you offer group discounts? Yes, we offer special packages and pricing for groups of 10 or more people. Clearly has a lot of time and care put into improving the campground, with sprinklers for the grass, new buildings being built, and already plenty of facilities for use (showers, laundry, basketball, pickleball, bean bag toss, pool, etc). The shuttle into Zion is a very convenient amenity, though it's a bit restrictive for times (mostly because of low utilization, especially in slower months (we had a morning shuttle where we were the only two riders)).

I had such a wonderful, peaceful trip. The resort is car camper friendly; which I appreciate as a solo SUV camper enthusiast, the concrete pads are nice and level. The amenities are very clean and new, and the waterfall arch in the pool is a nice touch. Hot tub is VERY hot and I liked that! The fancy shower heads were an extra surprise for a weary traveler, no RV has pressure like that. I ended up staying another day because I enjoyed the atmosphere, clean amenities and friendliness of the other campers. Travis was a wonderful host and I highly encourage you to book a night here if you’re heading to Zion but want to stay away from the chaos!

It was a great place to camp. The land owner Todd is very nice and the host Emily has thought of everything. It is a long dirt road ride but once you get to camp, your camp is all set up with a kitchen, a tent, the fire was just about lit. The sheep come and go as it is a sheep farm. Green grass and lots of trees. There is a train that goes by and let's you know how the economy is. Better economy more trains. I loved the trains. Definitely read the message in hip camp. It has directions and pictures to get out there. Just a couple of hours from Las Vegas, it was great to unplug and just be. Don't put the address in Google as it will take you a different route. It was great at the end to just pack my clothes and cooler and leave. All the set up and clean up is taken care of for you. Thank you Todd for the land and Emily for the camp, it was great to be there and enjoy the family.

This was the perfect spot to spend our first night in our rental RV on the way from Las Vegas to Utah. No frills, but a good level place to park, a nice picnic table and fire ring. The toilet was simple, but would get the job done, and the shower surprised us with strong water pressure and good warm weather. I would stop there again if I’m passing through.

We had a wonderful visit to the ranch! Rhonda was incredibly kind, ensuring we were comfortable & had everything we needed. It’s such a great location - we chose it for its proximity to major hikes in Zion National Park. Rhonda even recommended a drive just 5 minutes from the property to view the sunset - and it drove right through the gorgeous Kolob Canyons! We also loved the fresh eggs, picking berries, and getting to feed the horses. Has a nice campfire spot for colder months, too. Definitely recommend Rhonda & her beautiful space (:

The campground was very clean with great amenities. Location was perfect, just 30 minutes to Zion National Park and easy access to coffee shops, grocery stores and more.

This is the perfect place to come get a fresh perspective and some fresh air in the mountains, on the ranch. Close to some of the most popular hikes and National Parks, it’s a great place to escape to. The night sky is gorgeous. The stars and the Milky Way are visible and spilling across the sky. We have an outdoor fire pit where you can sit and melt into the night after a day of hiking. Or, On cold nights, hanging out by the fireplace in your own space, with a cup of hot cocoa. The space This is a whole, all inclusive space to yourself in my daylight basement apartment. There is, games, books, a TV, kitchen and fireplace. Cleaned and disinfected after every guest. Guest access We are on five acres and you are more than welcome to meander everywhere. There are lots of trees, benches and a tire swing. You are also welcome to say hi to the chickens and the horses, the goose and her entourage of ducks just beware the “Bad Rooster” he is mean and prays on the weak. Everyone else will all treat you like a rockstar if you bring them food. The wire around the horse pen is hot. So step inside, with the horses to say hi to them. They love carrots and apples. Other things to note We do have a washer and dryer on the premises. But they are not in the guest space. If you need a load or two done, I am more than happy to oblige. We are on a septic system and anything besides toilet paper thrown down the toilet, Is bad, so please refrain from throwing in feminine hygiene products, cotton balls or paper towels down the toilet. Decorative pillows are just for decoration. I only wash them once a season, so use the other pillows for sleeping. It is helpful but in no way expected if you’d like to strip your beds at the end of your stay. I hope you have so much fun staying with us!
