Our property sits on 2 acres in the heart of Las Vegas. It is one of the original homesteads of Las Vegas which we are trying to take back to a homestead. The original owners of the property played a huge hand in the building of Vegas. As we have cleaned up the property treasures of a 100 years ago have been found all over the property. On the property you will find a huge garden out front that you are welcome to pick from. We also have over 50 trees on the property you are welcome to walk around and enjoy. If you find yourself in the duck coop or the chicken coop and find an egg you are welcome to enjoy it. Feel free to enjoy the pool, bbq and outside bathroom which has a shower, and full size washer and dryers. We are a smoke/drug free site please be respectful of this rule and violators will be asked to leave without refund. Because we are a "working hobby farm" you will see some weeds and you may even see a project or two we are working on, feel free to join in but please be understanding that in order for us to improve things it will get little messy and can take time to complete. Also, please check the weather before you book, Vegas if very hot during the summer months, if your rig doesn't have AC you will not be comfortable as night temps can be easily over 100.

Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West.
We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc.
Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall.
We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway
Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service!
There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Private RV spot tucked away on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood, yet only 15 minutes to the downtown Fremont Street Experience, and about 25 minutes to the large strip properties like Caesars Palace and MGM. Las Vegas has a lot to offer, but we have you covered with the RV spot.
We are in the NW valley with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. When the sun goes down over the Spring Mountains and Mount Charleston beautiful colors illuminate evening clouds. We are in somewhat of a rural area, so you might see bats in the evening, and bunnies in the morning. We have even seen coyote, owl, and of course lots of geese flying between golf courses in the morning during many months of the year. We are away from the city lights, so nighttime can be quite dark, but the moon can be a spectacular site in the night sky.
Red Rock Canyon is 16 miles away. Many of our guests enjoy the scenic beauty or climbing opportunities in Red Rock. Nevada's newest state park, Ice Age Fossils State Park, is just a few miles away and offers a glimpse into prehistoric time in the region. If you enjoy ziplining then check out Slotzilla at Fremont Street or on the Las Vegas strip at the LINQ.
Our Hipcamp comes equipped with water, electrical service (both 30amp and 50amp), and a sewer connection.

Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour.

This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail.
To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.

He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. There are other residents in the area, but are far away, but visible (it is a desert). But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful.There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. There is a fire-ring, but you must bring your own wood. There is some limited shopping and restaurants in town (Meadview or Dolan Springs) and on the main road (Pierce Ferry). We plan to build on the property in the future, but wish to share it with others until then. Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West.
We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc.
Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall.
We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway
Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service!
There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Welcoming camp experience in the Las Vegas area. Private RV spot tucked away on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood, yet only 15 minutes to the downtown Fremont Street Experience, and about 25 minutes to the large strip properties like Caesars Palace and MGM. Las Vegas has a lot to offer, but we have you covered with the RV spot.
We are in the NW valley with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. When the sun goes down over the Spring Mountains and Mount Charleston beautiful colors illuminate evening clouds. We are in somewhat of a rural area, so you might see bats in the evening, and bunnies in the morning. We have even seen coyote, owl, and of course lots of geese flying between golf courses in the morning during many months of the year. We are away from the city lights, so nighttime can be quite dark, but the moon can be a spectacular site in the night sky.
Red Rock Canyon is 16 miles away. Many of our guests enjoy the scenic beauty or climbing opportunities in Red Rock. Nevada's newest state park, Ice Age Fossils State Park, is just a few miles away and offers a glimpse into prehistoric time in the region. If you enjoy ziplining then check out Slotzilla at Fremont Street or on the Las Vegas strip at the LINQ.
Our Hipcamp comes equipped with water, electrical service (both 30amp and 50amp), and a sewer connection.

Hidden away within the mountains, there’s so much to see and do.
Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour.
It’s pure bliss and joy. A reset, a rest.
Available as a single person camping, all the way up to weekend retreats for the entire family.
This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail.
To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.

Purchased this land for my father who loved living on his own in stark conditions. The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. He has since passed and the shack was torn down due to normal wear making it unstable.Me and my wife plan to put a home on it in the future, but felt it would be nice to allow adventurous types to stay on the property for the cheap.Learn more about this land:(Directions at bottom of description)The property is up on a hill surrounded on 2 sides (W/N) by BLM land with an overlook of Lake Mead. The property once had a shack on it, which is now gone - some remnants remain. But, there are flat drive areas in which to park (RV ok) and/or tent camp. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful.There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. Best Hipcamp ever! Emily was a wonderful host. We felt so welcome. I can’t overstate how perfect the set up is. Our van had privacy while being literal steps away from the pool and bathroom that included a shower and laundry! The amenities make this really stand out. The power and water access was better than some RV parks while being cheaper. We took a Lyft to the strip, very easy.
We will be back for sure and highly recommend to all travelers.

Emily and Nate are very friendly and accommodating. Nate was very helpful on local recommendations. We had a very busy weekend and didn’t get to spend a lot of time on site. This was just an awesome place to camp. There was only a gentle breeze on the evening. I was there and the sunset lighting up the surrounding hills and rocks was just exquisite. A family of wild turkeys walked through to get a drink at a nearby creek or irrigation canal and then walked back to wherever they were sleeping. The host is just such a nice guy and I was able to set up my tent without a rain fly and watch the stars in the outdoor shower was a real treat. You can’t go wrong with this place. Highly recommend.
