Welcome to your peaceful, desert getaway. This little Retro Camper is only about 35 minutes from the Strip. The property is home to Joshua trees, desert mountain views, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best star gazing around. The camper comes with a full kitchen, a refrigerator, microwave, and gas stove. Dishes and utensils are provided as well as bedding and towels. The bed is about a full size bed, maybe a bit smaller, cozy for two people to sleep in. The camper comes with two space heaters and extra blankets for the winter, an overhead air conditioning unit for the summer. The shower has cold water only and is an outdoor shower. Check out our "Extras" to reserve firewood and a S'mores Kit to enjoy under the stars! Head across the street to the Pioneer Saloon for some great food and live music. Enjoy the beautiful scenery just outside of one of the biggest travel destinations in the USA! IG: @nvretrocamper

This beautiful pine cabin is small but lovely. The views are beautiful from every angle. You are situated up high, so as to view the whole valley and plateau. The stars are bright and appear closer, as the area is off grid and far from big city lights. The air is soft and fragrant with sage. The wind is delicious on a hot day. You can spy the Grand Wash Cliffs, and you are just 18 miles from the Grand canyon, where the spirit of the Wild West is still felt. There is a spirituality to the place. Mohave high desert plants abound, including agave, teddy bear cholla, brittle brush, sage, joshua trees and juniper trees. The camp site is 1.25 acres, but not marked with more than a pile of rocks in each corner. please be respectful of the boundary and don't stray more than 20 feet past the big juniper tree off to the east. Feel free to follow the road up to the mountain. After a certain point the land is BLM owned and open to the public. A purple flag indicates private property. There are no property owners living in this near vicinity. The cabin boasts three windows, that can be opened for cross ventilation. There is one brand new mattress and pillow with new linens, a light weight cotton throw and several new cotton towels and hand cloths hanging from butterfly hooks. There is a small table and chairs, and a propane cooker. We also have bowls, plates, glassware and cutlery for two. There is a small pot for heating up food or boiling water. A ladle and potato masher, knife, can opener and drip coffee maker. There is a butcher block counter top with a sink and grey water system below. Water can be poured into the sink from the glass water dispenser above. We also have a cooler ready for your ice. There are solar lights adorning the cabin at night, and a campfire ring for small discrete camp fires. Please be aware of the heat-there is no well on site, so make sure to stock up on gallons at the Chevron station or in Meadview. There should be at-least one gallon waiting for you when you arrive, but after that, you must pick up as much water as you need at one of the nearby designated spots (Chevron station, Dollar Store). Meadview is 10 miles away and boasts several excellent places to eat-I prefer the Boathouse. Five miles to the East is the Diamond Bar Ranch, which has an excellent restaurant and historic decor. The mornings and evening are cool, but mid-day can be very hot. I would plan activities for the day hours, to avoid sweltering Arizona heat. The Grand canyon is minutes away. the Diamond Bar ranch offers free entertainment and is a trove of historical information. Lake Mead (South Cove) is great for swimming and sight seeing. There are several cute shops in Meadview to shop for locally made wares. Go prospecting or check out a gun range. There are millions of acres of BLM land to explore-just please check a map and make sure you are not on private property. If you see a purple sig, that is the international symbol for private property. Please respect the plant life and do not tread directly on any of the plants. It is tempting to collect the gorgeous quartz that abounds, but please leave all quartz on the property, as it is a part of what makes the place so magical. If you would like to take home a souvenir, please take just one from the driveway which is strewn with lovely chunks of quartz. Mohave desert is a surreal and mesmerizing place. It’s plants grow slowly, and it takes many years to grow back a casually destroyed agave or cholla, so please do not collect any plant specimens or cut down any plants for firewood. I can be contacted for more info, please feel free to call me if you have any questions! This rental is intentionally simple. It is a place for those who want to commune with nature and truly relax. Be it a digital detox or a simple weekend retreat, this place delivers a peace that is hard to find. It is my happiest place and I hope you enjoy it as well! I almost forgot, there are knitting needles and yarn-please feel free to use them! I will buy more yarn if you end up knitting yourself something. I also have a few books on Buddhism and Tibetan mysticism, the Grand Canyon and An ancient copy of Hiawatha. One final note-this is a wonderful place for a single person or for two close companions. The bed is a single, but we plan on getting an additional mattress or mat for an additional guest. For now, if there will be two of you, I’d suggest bringing a single mat or sleep cuddled up together. Juniper & Sage house is an intentionally slow place. It’s great place to do a digital detox and just be with your thoughts. Our set up is deliberately modest, yet very comfortable.

Purchased this land for my father who loved living on his own in stark conditions. The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. He has since passed and the shack was torn down due to normal wear making it unstable.Me and my wife plan to put a home on it in the future, but felt it would be nice to allow adventurous types to stay on the property for the cheap.Learn more about this land:(Directions at bottom of description)The property is up on a hill surrounded on 2 sides (W/N) by BLM land with an overlook of Lake Mead. Just 10 miles from lake access (downhill) inside Lake Mead recreational area. Also, about 9 miles from Grand Canyon West access point. The property once had a shack on it, which is now gone - some remnants remain. But, there are flat drive areas in which to park (RV ok) and/or tent camp. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. There are other residents in the area, but are far away, but visible (it is a desert). But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful. There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. There is a fire-ring, but you must bring your own wood. There is some limited shopping and restaurants in town (Meadview or Dolan Springs) and on the main road (Pierce Ferry). We plan to build on the property in the future, but wish to share it with others until then. Definitely for the rugged at heart or self-contained camper.General location:* 9 miles after grand canyon walkway turn-off* 1.5 miles after General Dollar (on left)*** before historical marker and turn-off to Meadview (on right)Directions (from Pierce Ferry - heading north):* Turn left at Newport (next road after King Tut [on right])* Turn right on Caribbean (dead end sign straight ahead)* Turn right on Starlight Way (end of nicely graded road with house up-hill on left)* Property at top of hill on right - at Starlight Way and Starlight Circle IntersectionGPS coordinates of property: 35.9845206, -114.0983649Other useful information:Closest restrooms are 11 miles north on Pierce Ferry - at boat ramp (all paved road)or in Meadview proper (at restaurants and gas stations)

So peaceful and serene in this little mountain oasis! Hidden away within the mountains, there’s so much to see and do. Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour. It’s pure bliss and joy. A reset, a rest. Available as a single person camping, all the way up to weekend retreats for the entire family. This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail. To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.
