James place is very artsy & eclectic. We loved the cats & animals on the property. It was nice to have options too to camp under a roof in case of rain. The communal kitchen was great! Bonus his place is close to the city!
Past trip
in Mighty Farm & Camp, CaliforniaBen, Puff, & their 3 kitties' property is nice & quiet. Ben was very responsive in communication & has a lot of great ideas for their land. They were very sweet, welcoming and offered us coffee & wine. Their main cat Tin was super friendly! Unfortunately we decided to brave the "California typhoon" on our drive so they gave us alternative spots to stay for our safety. Despite this (and this was our fault), our behemoth camper van rental got stuck in the mud due to mother nature. Ben was very helpful in trying to get us out and we really appreciated it. Next time, we plan to come with 4WD or not during an "atmospheric river". :)
Past trip
in Kinner Kamping, KentuckyCute place with awesome themed trailers! The outdoors area was everything you need from BBQ grill, fire pit, & outdoor games like big Jenga & connect 4. A huge plus to have AC during the hot summer day. Natalie was super responsive too!

Past trip
in Above the Fray Glamping, Black Mtn., North CarolinaReally cool location! Electrical outlets were a plus. We came when there were high winds & rain which to us was great as the place sheltered us from it. Luckily we got to enjoy a clear view after the rain passed.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Brian and his property. He is an eager host always making sure you're comfortabl. You can tell he loves doing it just to meet the people and making sure you have the best experience.
Upon entering the property, we were greeted by the 4 sweetest dogs. Brian welcomed us with a s'mores kit and enough food to feed you for a few days, including bread, milk, juice, bacon, and the best bonus, his farm fresh eggs from his chickens. We loved meeting all his animals, including seeing some baby chicks and a newborn kitten.
The barn loft has everything you need and is super cozy. It was perfect place to refresh & relax after we done a week of tent camping.
Brian is by far one of the best hip camp hosts we've had and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Past trip
in Sierra Sol Camp, CaliforniaDeja and her spouse Norm were amazing hosts and would go far and beyond to make you feel comfortable and help with whatever you need. We could not be grateful enough for their hospitality. We love the artistic touches throughout the whole property, the super nice kitchen, access to their fresh chicken eggs, and most of all, her impeccable communication. We gave her advance notice that we were bringing our dog who has "behavioral quirks" and she was more than accommodating to help make our dog feel comfortable. It was coincidentally her husband's birthday and they generously shared some of the delicious food for the celebration. They have a small farm of pigs, chicken and ducks and we even got to buy some of their pork butt, bacon, and sausages to cook at home. We definitely recommend this unique stay and look forward to staying again soon!
