Near Redwood National Park
Within a 60-minute drive from the Thomas Kuchel Visitor Center.
The cowgirl kitchen is situated on nine acres, just one block from Arcata city limits. This is the perfect mix of country feel close to town. There’s a bunch of farm animals all in rotation, some dogs some cats, some full-time residents and some passer throughs..... all living on this beautiful food forest in this special Little Valley. This 350 sq. ft studio is located behind the main house in a sheltered garden space. The studios has high ceilings, and a beautifully crafted wooden loft with a queen bed. It has a lower floor seating area with a pull out double sofa bed and comfortable arm chairs. It has a fully functioning kitchen with a gas range and a small fridge. Directly outside is a flag stone patio with seating. There is a wooden bathhouse attached to your studio with a private clawfoot tub/ shower that is for your use only. We cannot find where to add a pet fee on Hipcamps website. Pets require additional cleaning. Please leave an extra $25 if you are bringing a pet. Thanks. Come down the Dirt driveway. Lift the latch on the green gate and push it in. Park in the very first spot on your left. It will be labeled studio parking. There’s a little path on the left-hand side/driver side of your car, it will lead you up and out back past the surfboards to your studio. Note, on the website, it says check in after two and check out at noon, we prefer if guests check in after three, and check out at 11 am. Thanks.

Redwood Coast farm studio
Spacious romantic studio
The space is gorgeous, the property is lovely and peaceful, there's kids and family around but they felt far enough away to feel really private. The studio itself feels great to be in, despite being outside the shower was more than hot enough with solid pressure, everything was cozy and lovely, I think mainly we wish we just had more time in the space. It feels somewhat spendy, but there's a clear amount of care and tending that went into making the space really romantic and lovely. Only hiccups were that someone had turned off the power strip that the fridge, heater, and stove igniter were hooked up to so I ended up calling Jeff to make sure I was doing things right and he had to come in and sleuth out the issue. Otherwise the whole kitchen would have been out of commission! Other than that the loft was spacious, the bed was super comfy, the lighting was gorgeous, so many elements about the stay were lovely. Oh also-- check out is 11, even tho it says 12 here. Seems like Jeff can't get it changed for some reason and that was confusing. We asked for a "late" checkout at 12, not arriving till 9pm the night before anyhow, and he was gracious enough to make that happen.

Charming little place
Super sweet little spot. The studio is charming, especially with the garden just out the French doors.

We loved our stay in the studio. So quiet and the loft bed is comfortable. The carpentry work is wonderful. We would stay here again!

Redwood Coast farm studio
We loved the decor and quality workmanship of the studio. It was bigger than expected and the kitchen was fabulous. We didn't see a farm though. From the listing I was expecting an assortment of farm animals but we only saw a cute dog, a couple cats, and adorable kids. This is more like a family homestead with old vehicles scattered about. The studio rules should be posted on the listing. No shoes allowed inside so be prepared with some slippers or slip on shoes for using the toilet. No roaming the farm due to other permanent residents. Quiet time was at 9 PM so we didn't feel comfortable starting a fire, and we were glad we brought a laptop to watch movies instead. The composting toilet was an experience I was interested in, but I don't think I'm quite on board with it. At the very least, I'd isolate it from the bathroom sink. The stairs to the loft need a railing! It was a very convenient location, and much, much better than a hotel for the same price. For that reason we would stay again. And the clawfoot tub was nice after a day at the beach.

11/10 kind hosts, great location
(BOOK THIS FARMHOUSE ON THE OTHER APPS!) TLDR; 11/10 stars. ***this is a review for the host’s Farmhouse NOT the loft listed, as a last min prob came up and they graciously gave me the Farmhouse (I can’t describe how that made this tired traveler feel. Will definitely be passing on that kindness)**** So relaxing with gardens and farm. Generous hosts, kind, just all around rad. The space is clean, private, and home-y. Book this site, I don’t see how you could regret it. I booked last min on a road trip and a problem arose w the space. the hosts were so generous - read above. *Someone on here said the coordinates take you nowhere which wrong, but you’re given an address which also works. Just pull slowly into the driveway — kids/animals! — the parking spot is right there to your left, labeled. The Farmhouse is behind the bamboo in front of the parking spot. the Loft in this listing is around the outside of the fence in the back of the house. The hosts were so kind on arrival, reminded me to check out the beaches, and were never intrusive or even close to. The Farmhouse is scent-free which is great for guests who have sensitivities, allergies, etc. Beds comfy, full kitchen with all amenities you need. Living room/den with direct access to your private yard with table and chairs. It feels serene surrounded by flowers, bamboo and fence. I spent the evening reading in the sunset. Right next to town, beaches, redwoods and the highway so travel is easy!
