Couldnāt have asked for a better desert adventure. Frank has put so much love into this magical place, and Zev was a grounding presence throughout our stay. This oasis is a true gem. Felt private, isolated, special, and we loved the hot spring!

Van Life Campground - Joshua Tree
in Van Life Campground, CaliforniaRo O.recommends this listing.
This place is a true gem! Aidan is generous, friendly, and has put a lot of love into this land. It was a great jumping-off point to explore Joshua Tree, and I also took a day trip to Idyllwild per Aidanās partnerās enthusiastic recommendation. Aidan seems to genuinely enjoy meeting the people who come through, and also gives ample privacy and room if you donāt feel like talking. A heads up that sound travels easily between sites and that there is very little shade on siteāgood to bring a shade structure if you wanna hang out in the heat of the day. I felt very safe and comfortable there, which isnāt always true for me in nature. I enjoyed the outdoor shower and kitchen a whole lot. Iād love to come back again!!
Past trip
in Camping With Wolves, Acadia Area, MaineClose to acadia but depressing
Ro O.doesn't recommend this listing.
This campsite was private enough and close to Acadia. For those who careā we made the incorrect assumption that this was a wildlife rehabilitation center or some kind of service organization, when in reality it was like a private zoo with big wild animals (like a big bear!) in chainlink enclosures that seemed too small and made us sad. Just want to be real that it felt generally sad to be there and I wouldnāt camp there again. Heather was cool and gave clear instructions about being on her land

This honestly was one of the best camping experiences of my life. Swimming and drinking the fresh spring water, laying out and stretching on the planks, exploring all the loved and wild land. Iām so grateful to the hosts for letting folks come and share in this magical place. We felt very well taken care of. Thank you!
