Past trip
in Hussey Mountain Tree Farm, New HampshireWe had a great visit to Hussey Mtn. The trails on the property are a great way to stretch your legs, they are well marked with some beautiful views. We were in site 1, which has a shower, dish washing sink, the cleanest porta potty, tables and chairs, and a huge fire pit. Site one is a bit close to the road so we could hear cars. There is a bridge out nearby (due to be repaired by October) so there was additional traffic. We are traveling with a trailer so didnât have as many options as tenting. Our host was helpful with information about places to eat and hike locally.

My husband, dogs, and I love it here. We have been a number of times and every time it's special. Easy to get to, a level site, and a wonderful view of the sunset and river. Very peaceful.

Rebecca D.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
We didn't meet our host and he never responded to my texts. The site was just ok. The grass area was mowed. We didn't bring our boats as folks were commenting they used the ones at the sites. Upon inspection they weren't so seaworthy. The outhouse is a bit more tired as the door didn't shut properly and there are plants growing inside. Due to the constant road noise, I don't think we will be back. It feels like a failed venture.

Past trip
in Someday Farm and Forest, New HampshireBeautiful spot and goat snuggling
Someday Farm is a special place, and we had a wonderful experience there. We were in the field (site 12) which was great for the view of the nearby wetland and saw lots of birds and ducks. All the sites are spread out and we couldn't really see our neighbors. The porta-potties were clean. We were able to spend some time with Barbie and her herd of goats, alpacas, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and cats. I bought a bottle of her yummy plum sauce we added to our firepit cooked chicken. If you get a chance to try her relish, do it! It was so delicious we ate the whole jar as a dip with our potato chips after our meal was gone. She provides a 5-gallon jug of water which was much appreciated! How lucky to have a place so close for a quick getaway from the city.
Past trip
in Smokey View, Nova ScotiaWonderful location, wonderful host
This was our first time in Cape Breton, and our host Blair's friendliness and camping location made it even more special. The site is absolutely incredible! Blair has created a nice level site for your camper and a grass area to sit and observe the water just in front of the site and cliffs in the distance. We ended up staying here a couple extra days as we could not bear to move on to our next scheduled site. We were able to spend evenings around the campfire with Blair, his daughter, and her family. He was immensely helpful guiding our visit to match our interests. He recommended the Franey hike which was a highlight of our trip. It really couldn't be more perfect.

(Dispersed site)
This site was really private. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. There is a house (under construction) to sign the guest book, take a look at some maps, and use the shower if you like. Paul let us know the best time to kayak the river to catch the tides which really made the stay special. Our site was right on the river and watching osprey and eagles continually fish and fly by was awesome. Our last morning, I looked out the window to watch a doe and fawn stroll their usual route right past our camper. The site we were at included a nice swinging bench, picnic table, and firepit. We had a pretty level site big grassy field for the dogs to play in. Paul has mowed paths in the fields to enjoy. Amazing place all together.

Past trip
in Slippery Rock Trails LLC, MaineBeautiful property, wonderful hosts
Once again, we had a wonderful stay at Slippery Rock. Great fishing this trip. It was hot but there was a fantastic breeze off the river. The water level of the river was down since our last visit therefore there was a nice shoreline to check out with the dogs as well. Can't say enough about the friendliness of our host and hostess. Lovely people who are out to be sure you have everything you need and enjoy your stay.
Rebecca hasn't gone on any trips yet.

in Sacred Nectar Sanctuary, New HampshireWonderfully magical
This was my first stay at Tippy Top. I had stayed at Big Kahuna several times before. They both are unimprovable, really quite perfect. The care these folks put into the design and maintenance of the sites is extraordinary. It's magical. Outstanding views and privacy. Nicely open for the sun to shine in with a circle of trees so you aren't over exposed.

Site 2 - Slippery Rock Riverbank Tent Sites
in Slippery Rock Trails LLC, MaineAlways a fantastic experience!
This was our fourth visit here and we plan to visit at least once a year. There is a somewhat steep climb to the river, but all sites overlook the water. John has canoes to rent if you don't bring your own. He also sells really great firewood on site. It's a slow-moving river not a lake or pond so expect logs/sticks on the bank. Sometimes there is a nice sandy beach, depending on how much rain has occurred. A bonus is how much land John has to explore, from fields to dense woods and abandoned stone foundations there's a lot to see. In the spring there are ticks, in the summer when we last visited both us and our dogs saw none.
