Past trip
in Innisfree, QueenslandA lovely scenic spot, easy to get to, great location and very well maintained. The host Phoenix is so good with communication, so friendly and accommodating. We loved how quiet the site was, the road nearby has very few cars on it. No other campers close by. The water in the creek was quite shallow being very safe for kids and pets with crystal clear and gently flowing water. Excellent value for money. We would rate it 10/10.

in Wynola Country Cousins, QueenslandPlatypus Reach is a hipcamp my husband and I visit on a regular basis either for a quick week-end getaway or for longer stays with family and friends. It is the perfect bush location with river through to gorge views, offering a very large flat, immactulately kept grassed area that is easily accessible from the main road. Close to Killarney for a quick pub meal or restock of supplies we enjoy the feeling of remoteness whilst also enjoying the benefits of being a 10 minute drive from a thriving rural town. 10/10 every time!

(Dispersed site)
This camp site ticked all the boxes on our list, quiet, well in off the road, private - we could not see nor hear any other campers and it was beautifully mowed and maintained. The property is very easy to find and has a good sealed road right to the turn off to the property. Just a short drive in on a well graveled road. Our camp had a choice of 3 fire pits for cooking, toilet nearby, non potable water and had a lovely view of the river. Plenty of shady trees and also open areas for solar panels if needed. Easy access to the river and a nice shallow area for swimming. Hosts Phil and Anne were great with communication, were warm, friendly, laid back and inviting. The fire wood they provided was really excellent quality and a good quantity for our needs. A short interesting drive to the town of Texas for a delicious pub lunch, also dog friendly. The service and food at the Inglewood Cafe on the trip home was also a highlight of the trip, so friendly! Dog Friendly as well. We will be returning for another stay in the near future and highly rate this camp site and also hosts Phil and Anne.
Past trip
Turtle View
in Hidden Haven by Cainbable Creek, QueenslandPrivate, spacious, creek frontage
Turtle view is a lovely private spot a short drive from Boonah and offers a very large area for big groups. Unfortunately the creek did not have much water in it for our visit but it would have been great for swimming if it had. Lots of birds and wallabies visited our camp. Camp Host Elle was very welcoming and friendly. A covered entertaining area handy for hot weather and plenty of shady trees.
Past trip
in Guppy Gully on the Mary, QueenslandWe would very highly rate this hipcamp and will definitely return to stay again in the future. Such a great location, lots to see and do in this area, the camp is very easy to find, easy access and the campsite is beautifully maintained by the host. The river provides lovely views, great for Kayaks. There are lovely shady trees along the river bank. Kacey is warm and friendly and a great host all round. Firewood and eggs available, such a quiet and peaceful spot to camp. Loved the short drive to town for coffee, donuts and the amazing dairy cafe.
Past trip
in Wunglebung, New South WalesA little remote but well worth it.
The road in to the property is quite challenging for anyone towing a big caravan so allow plenty of time and take it slowly. From our camp site at Drovers it was a long walk to use the phone (no mobile service) or internet wifi service so we would have preferred to camp on the other side of the creek where it also had a larger & flatter area to park our 2 caravans. Take a shovel - lots of cow manure to shift from camp sites so you do not step in it when walking around your camp. Other than that it is a lovely place to camp, we saw platypus, birds, kangaroos and lots of other wildlife. The camp hosts are lovely, welcoming and friendly. The toilet facilities were convenient and clean. We used the kayaks and enjoyed paddling up and down the creek.
Past trip
in Wynola Country Cousins, QueenslandLovely campsite with river & views
The hosts are very friendly, helpful, great with communication for booking and arrival at the camp. The presentation of the camp site is immaculate, freshly mown, campfire area ready for use. Easy access to the campsite, and such a peaceful and beautiful location.

The Junction
in "Mindoo", New South Wales10/10 - as good as it gets!
We loved this hipcamp! We are regular campers and this spot is now in our top two destinations. The creek and rockpools are pristine, teaming with life. We shared our nights with platypus, fireflies and eels cruising up and down the creek in front of our camp. Prue the host was lovely and made our stay very enjoyable with her kind hospitality. Facilities are great - toilets, firewood etc and we found the property very easy to get to from the nearest town of Tenterfield, a short and pretty drive. Camp sites are a good distance apart for privacy.

Wynola Country Cousin Silky Oak
in Wynola Country Cousins, QueenslandDoes it get any better than this?
If you love country camping, this is as good as it gets. This is a lovely large flat grassy area that could easily accommodate a number of caravans, campers or tents. Very easy access to the site via a good dirt road and only a short drive to the town of Killarney for a meal at the hotel or for groceries. Stunning Cambanoora Gorge views, lovely sunny spot, shade under the nearby trees and a gentle slope into the water for a swim. Firewood provided by the host was top quality. Dog friendly and a great spot for kids too.

Wynola Country Cousins The Junction
in Wynola Country Cousins, QueenslandHard to beat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to "The Junction". With bushland behind the camp, river frontage, Gorge views and a large mown flat area to set up camp we rate this site 10/10. The hosts have mown tracks through the lush riverside Kikuyu along the river bank to allow guests to enjoy walks to the magnificent Hoop Pines and deeper waterholes. We saw Kangaroos, wallabies, frogs, aquatic plants, many different bird species and many other native plants and animals during this trip. A short drive to the town of Killarney provided an excellent pub meal and extra supplies when needed :) Other camp sites on this property are far enough away that fellow campers cannot be seen or heard from your campsite which ensures privacy and quiet enjoyment of your holiday. The camp hosts maintain the campsites to a very high standard, our site on multiple visits has always been immaculately mown & zero rubbish from prior campers.

Wynola Country Cousin PlatypusReach
in Wynola Country Cousins, QueenslandExceeded our expectations!
We camped at Platypus Reach in our caravan and would rate this camping spot very highly. Great communication and welcome from host Bernie who provided information about the area, things to do etc. The camp spot was spacious and beautifully mowed/maintained. We camped beside the river and enjoyed visits from Platypus, wallabies and loads of different bird species. We did a 1 hour walk (mowed track and bushland) along the river and up over a hill with scenic views of the valley below and the hills in the distance which had a waterfall flowing. Killarney is a short 10 minute drive away if food supplies run low or you feel like a great country pub lunch/dinner.
