Creek Side Camping

We enjoyed our time sitting by the creek and in the creek. Lovely spot and all to ourselves. Cows friendly and it was great that we could take our dog with us. Plenty of room for a larger group but we were happy just to have the time away by ourselves. Very easy to get our van in and out and plenty of room to set up. Will definitely head back again sometime.

A 10/10 rated Hipcamp
Tent · With pets ·
A lovely scenic spot, easy to get to, great location and very well maintained. The host Phoenix is so good with communication, so friendly and accommodating. We loved how quiet the site was, the road nearby has very few cars on it. No other campers close by. The water in the creek was quite shallow being very safe for kids and pets with crystal clear and gently flowing water. Excellent value for money. We would rate it 10/10.

We had an amazing time here on the weekend. Site was so private and spacious. We had ability to let our dogs run and have swims in the river without feeling like there were others close by. I think we saw/heard 2 cars go along the road all weekend. We will be back here for sure.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves. We arrived to our site and it was in need of mowing. Along the creek it was over grown. The fire pit was was over flowing with ash and not maintained. Over looking these 2 things we were totally private which we loved. The cows visited us regularly. Which wasn't a problem. We never met the host which didn't bother us at all. It was Australia Day weekend so I'm sure they were celebrating as well. I think the access to the site could do with a little attention. I strongly recommend if you book here you come through Maryvale township. Not Spices Peak way. Road very narrow and with towing a van if a vehicle was to come the opposite direction there wouldn't be much room to get off the road. We did enjoy the creek and the absolute privacy. We stayed 3 nights 🌙

Solitude on a creek bed 👌

Friendly host and quick to respond to questions. Enjoyed having the whole campsite to ourselves. The creek was deep enough for cooling off. Cicadas can be quite loud at times.
