Past trip
in Arber-Moore's Ranch, CaliforniaGreat camping, great location
Tent camping was wonderful. Located very close to Channel Islands National park as well as Ojai, everything you need is within a 10-15 min drive, but you still feel comfortably secluded. This is dispersed camping, and while you could see the other campers, I felt like I had plenty of space. Picnic tables, fire pit, trash cans, etc all provided. Host is located on site and offered fresh eggs and assistance when needed. Wonderful experience, I highly recommend staying here.
Past trip
in Joyful Heart, CaliforniaThis was a perfect site for a weekend in Yosemite. Space was clean, well furnished, and had many little touches to make it welcoming. Host was very kind, considerate, and helpful, and gave us privacy while remaining accessible. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was perfect to prepare quick meals. Had a wonderful time and enthusiastically recommend.

I am such a fan of communities such as this, with the added bonus of the historical building on site. I felt very safe the whole time I was here, and as a solo traveler this is very important to me. The community center was a beautiful and well maintained building with a bathroom and hot shower, located just next to the campsite. They have a large selection of games and books about the area inside. The road on site was easy to navigate. A quick note, while driving in from the east, I did lose cell service until about 20 minutes from Ft. Davis, but had strong service once I got into town. I was able to pitch my tent very close to the parking area and was comfortable all night. All in all, this was a great stop on my road trip and I highly recommend it.

This is my favorite Hipcamp I have stayed at. The site is well maintained and is very convenient. I was able to pitch my tent right next to my vehicle. The houses on the property are beautiful as well. William is so kind and hospitable, and has provided a truly welcoming environment for those new to camping and the more experienced alike. This site feels very safe, even for a solo traveler such as myself. You have to try the outdoor shower, it is very refreshing after a day of travel.

Past trip
in Wolff Woods, South CarolinaQuiet and convenient campsite

This campsite was a perfect stop for me while on a road trip. The trail heading in is wide enough to fit large vehicles and there were several good options for camping. Janie responded very quickly and helped me find the property and was very friendly. I slept soundly the whole night with no interruptions. Cell service was strong!

I had a great time staying here with my dog. The property is animal friendly and the hosts have very well trained (and adorable) dogs on site, as well as many other animals. The camp sites are well dispersed and very close to parking areas. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and they do have gear available for rent if needed. I felt very safe the whole time staying here, and would absolutely recommend it to beginner campers or solo campers, as well as large groups.
