Past trip
in Fairview Farms Airfield, PennsylvaniaGreat hosts, very fast and thorough communication! Everything we needed/wanted was available - firewood, battery for chargers, kayaks, and potable water. Site was lovely and we had great weather. We enjoyed a day hike on the Appalachian Trail to check out the William Penn Shelter. Then we did a little sunset cruise in the kayaks on Sweet Arrow Lake.
While the site is far enough away from other sites that we didn't overhear other campers, I do wish the site was a bit more secluded. Other sites on the property have a pretty clear full view of this site, as it's on the top of a hill. But the view from this site is stunning and well-maintained.
Past trip
in Burnhead Grazings, PennsylvaniaMoire and her family were excellent hosts. Sometimes you get lucky and stay somewhere that the hosts genuinely enjoy sharing their space and providing an excellent experienceâŚ. This was that kind of place! We were greeted by her niece who welcomed us to the space and gave us permission to hang out with the farm animals at our leisure. We enjoyed an evening cooking over the campfire and hearing the occasional âbaaaahâ of sheep from the pasture! We stayed for breakfast with Moire and she went above and beyond to meet our dietary needs and make us feel warm and welcomed. :-)
Past trip
in Sweet Grass Dairy a Regenerative Family Farm, OhioIt was so peaceful and refreshing to stay here. We loved the DIY feel of the cottage, and had a lovely night watching the stars and listening to the critters in the field. Sunrise was spectacular, we kept the doors open all night because they have effective bug netting in the bedroom doorway that prevents unwanted guests from entering. Their farm store was loaded up with so much delicious goodies, and cooking over the fire was super easy because they have a grill grate that was perfectly installed.
Past trip
in Mudita Camel's Yurt, ColoradoUnique yurt with an awesome host
It was an extra special evening for us to stay at this yurt. Upon arrival, our host, Matt, gave us an extensive farm tour of the camels, donkeys, and birds they take care of on their farm. He was super knowledgeable about the animals and genuinely cares for their well being, as well as the land. We were feeling fortunate to learn about the role of camels in north america, and the healing properties provided by their milk. The camels are sooo sweet and fun to be around. There are a few friendly cats that greeted us, and Mr. T kept us company the whole time! Matt also brought us to their creek where we saw a huge beaver swimming and chilling! Thereâs a lovely wood burning stove inside the yurt for warmth, outside for a fire pit, and a grill outside. The yurt had all of the necessary amenities and then some. It was thoughtful and we would definitely recommend!
Past trip
in Zion Backcountry Sheep Camps, UtahSecluded slice of heaven!!
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! All I can say is WOW! If you have the opportunity to stay here, you absolutely MUST! We were overjoyed to stay in this sheep camp, as it was exceptionally unique, private, comfortable, and detail-oriented. Our host, Jen, left a lovely note for us, fresh flowers from the meadow, and plenty of clean towels/cozy blankets! It was so special to read her scrapbook about their family history in sheep herding. I browsed photos from several decades ago, and read about the first hand experiences of the camp we were staying in, truly an unforgettable experience. The outdoor shower was incredible, it felt so good to get a hot water shower while watching the sun set in the distance. The camp was equipped with games, all cooking essentials, and even a bluetooth speaker! There was plenty of firewood for us to use, and the campfire under the stars was just perfect. The mountain ranges that you can see from the camp are unbelievable. Our dog loved running around and exploring the meadow without any limits. Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven!

Sweetgrass Cabin
in Sweetgrass Sanctuary, OregonPerfect getaway w/ sweet amenities
WOW! We wish we would have stayed here forever. We were greeted with some fresh eggs from Stellaâs coop, fresh flowers from her garden, and a hand-lettered sign welcoming us by name. There was so much attention to detail in this space: hooks where you need them, under the bed storage for extra luggage and a rack with hangers, + complimentary soaps and toiletries. The tub is soooo dreamy!!! And itâs equipped with plenty of clean towels and bath salts of all different flavors. The yurt is available to use as an extra space to hang out/meditate and itâs also done up to perfection. All of the spaces were clean and tidy, even the composting toilet area. We really loved all of the personal touches and intention that went into creating this space, and we hope for the opportunity to come back!
Past trip
in The Retreat at Pointerâs Ridge, South DakotaQuiet camping along the river
We really enjoyed our stay at Big Sioux River Retreat! Deb was friendly and welcoming, and took the time to show us around and make sure we are comfortable. This site is nestled in some trees behind an artists retreat and feels really private and secluded. The showers and bathrooms are well kept and clean. Lots of cool birds to see in the area, and very peaceful to hear the river trickling.

Off Grid Forest Glamping Cabin
in Alexandra D.âs Land, ArizonaPerfect cabin in the woods!!
We loved this spot!! It was so secluded because we were the only ones occupying the whole property for the evening (thereâs one or two other sites nearby). The stars were AMAZING! I have never seen so many stars before, it was lovely to sit on the deck and catch some shooting stars before bed. The bed was excellent and the blankets were ULTRA COZY. It also smelled really nice inside our lil cabin. There was a big propane fire pit around the communal picnic area and we really enjoyed the ambiance it provided. We thought the attention to detail was really special and the hosts were so welcoming and ready to help out wherever needed. The window of this cabin is a perfect frame for the sunset, too! Our dog enjoyed himself just as much as we did. We were fortunate to have pretty good cell service up there, but regret not packing bug spray! Those mosquitoes were vicious when outside of the cabin. I enjoyed the energy here and would absolutely recommend it.
