Burnhead Grazings

We had a great experience at Burnhead Grazings. The two campsites were scenic and spacious. The stream site felt very private and close to farm and accessing the facilities. Moire was a gracious host and cooked us a delicious breakfast. Emmy gave an enthusiastic and informational tour of the farm and we were excited about seeing the various animals on the farm. Overall we had an excellent experience and we can't wait to come back in the future!

Everything you could ask for

Everything about this camping destination is special. The ambiance of the environment is hard to beat, we stayed adjacent to the stream and tied our hammocks up right alongside the water. We enjoyed our conversation with Moire and with Randy and our dog had a fun play session with their dogs. We forgot to make our way to the swing overlooking the pond but next time we visit we'll be sure to remember. You won't regret staying here, what a treat!

Stunning Campsite

The farm plot is a stunning property with a beautiful pond. Proximity to Indiana is only 3 miles, with the Hoodlebug cycling trail very close by. Wish we could have spent more time there!

Burnside Grazings

I camped here in June 2023, and for the fourth of July in 2025; it's always a delight to visit and listen to stories by the Hosts Moire and Randy at breakfast! Very polite and friendly, they have two dogs, one is a corgi who is free range and wanders the property. Between the farm animals, wildlife and stunning firefly population, the surrounding scenery always dazzles me when I stay here. The creekside spot is the way to go! Especially during the hot, dry season, the creek is nice to soak in. Plenty of space, firewood, and room to relax in my tent with my bf and his dog. Town is 5 minutes away, including a Giant Eagle for groceries and other conveniences. We had a lovely time!

Randy was very kind and the property was so beautiful! It rained while we were there but Randy helped us out by giving us towels to clean off our equipment. Felt very attended to and the dogs were great and loved attention.

You just have to see it...

Its beautiful...I mean actually beautiful. From the moment we arrived we were highly impressed by the scenery. The site is easy to access. The hosts were inviting and completely exceeded our expectations. We are so happy to have found this hidden gem close to home. This felt like a perfect wholesome family experience. You can't help but relax being here. Absolutely can't wait to be back!

Beautiful farm with a lovely campsite by a stream. Moire and family were so gracious to us. We took an early evening walk to see the sheep, horses and cow.

Moire and Randy are excellent hosts. The spring house was right next to the barn. Enjoyed hearing the chickens and donkey in the mornings and seeing the sheep on the hillside. Moire prepared a delicious breakfast and later that afternoon had some felting classes. Randy and Emmy were gracious enough to show my sister and I around the barn. We enjoyed petting and feeding the animals. I would like to come back next year and bring the rest of my family and camp by the pond or the stream. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. God Bless

This was our third year tent camping at the pond site and we have greatly enjoyed it each time. Moire and her husband are very accommodating and take a lot of pride in their farm. We enjoy hearing the history of the farm. This is a great place for a family looking for a relaxing place to camp!

Nature & Animals

My favorite part were the animals. For my morning coffee routine I always got greeted by the two cats and a Dobsy the sheep. My kids absolutely enjoyed all the nature and all the bonfires. Moire, the host, was super friendly, as was her whole family. Everything was super clean.

Absolutely Perfect

We are newlyweds! We came here for a minimoon after our wedding this weekend and it honestly could not have been more perfect. Moire, Randy and Emmy were incredible hosts, Emmy showed us all of the animals and how she trains them! The donkeys and cats would greet us in the morning, we got to meet the miniature show horses as well as the full size horses! The property is absolutely gorgeous and the spring house is cozy, very spacious and warm. We loved the big swing on the oak tree by the pond, taking in the fall foliage on a walk by the stream, we LOVED hanging out with the donkeys and horses and talking to Randy and Moire! Moire showed us the spring under the house that provides all of our water, she also showed us her beautiful felting, and was just so generous and kind! We could not recommend this beautiful place enough. Wonderful hosts, the land is magnificent and the life on the farm is just magical. It was absolutely perfect <3

Words can’t express the serenity, welcoming hosts and gorgeous property at Burnhead Grazing. Moire is a wonderful lady and such a gracious host. The farm grounds are impeccable, the pond site is gorgeous (don’t miss the sunset and sunrise!) and every amenity you could need is available. I can’t wait to return to stay at the stream tent site and the spring house!! I highly recommend a getaway with Moire at Burnhead Grazings !

This was our second trip to Moire's campsite with our three kids. We thoroughly enjoy ourselves every time we stay! This is a perfect place to camp. Having access to the bathroom in the house makes it easy with our little ones. Excellent hosts and a beautiful setting.

Absolutely breathtaking views and the host Randy was super helpful and polite! The farm breakfast is a MUST, Moire made lamb quiche and banana bread. The spring fed pond was a delight to take a dip in on a hot day, the fishing is superb too (note: they prefer you use barbless hooks to avoid damaging the fish). 10/10 would stay again!

This Place is absolutely adorable and so welcoming! The hosts did an amazing job at making this place special for others to stay and visit. The pond was so awesome to hang out on our paddle boards and kayaks. We loved seeing the horses run around from the spring house. So many adorable touches everywhere!

The Spring House was clean, comfortable beds and linens, the shower water was hot. The toilet was simple to use and we experienced no odor whatsoever. The grounds were breathtaking. Moire accommodated our late arrival and still found time to show us around the property and house. We really prefer to keep to ourselves and Moire and Randy made our stay so comfortable by being welcoming and available but also letting us walk around the grounds and visit with the animals on our own time. The animals were awesome! We especially liked the goats because they accepted (and liked?) head scratches and face rubs. On Sunday, we had breakfast in the farm house prepared by Moire- everything was absolutely delicious and expertly made. We also thoroughly enjoyed Moire and Randy’s company while we watched the birds through the window. Quinn, their sweet Corgi, was an added bonus! We just want to say thank you for a quiet, serene stay that gave us a break from all the hustle and bustle we are used to. We would recommend a stay with Moire to anyone.

Moire, Randy, and their niece were were very welcoming to our family. They were understanding with us when our arrival time was forced to change. We had a great conversation with them over breakfast. The farm is beautiful next to a creek and two ponds with a number of animals to observe and even pet if they were interested. Great getaway for a few days in rural PA!

Moire and Randy were very kind, welcoming and generous hosts. They ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The space was thoughtfully designed and well appointed. The soapstone wood stove was gorgeous and kept us cozy and warm. (Several space heaters were available as well.) The fire pit was perfect to cook on with adjustable grate and griddle attachments. One of my favorite things each day was having my morning coffee looking out on the rolling landscape with grazing animals. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge. We will most certainly be back.

Prepared to be charmed!

Be prepared to never want to leave! This pastoral setting truly has it all. Moire is a fantastic host (she's there when you need her and gives you all the space to roam when you don't!) Her farm is charming and her dedication to an enjoyable experience shines through! Order the morning coffee she'll make for you and take a walk (or several). The town is nearby and offers a nice little diversion if you can pull yourself away from the field and stream. Bath setup is ideal for glampers: it's access to a half bath on the back of the main house just a short walk away from the site without feeling like you're too close to the house. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful surroundings

It was a very nice cottage, beautifully decorated and clean. There were lots of friendly animals right next to us that let us pet them. The owner was very welcoming and came down to meet us and show us around. We brought our dogs and they also enjoyed walking around the property and seeing all the sights and smells. The firewood we paid for was a truckload and the eggs were perfect for breakfast. It is a really beautiful place.
