This is a very special place. The yurt is incredibly cozy, restorative, welcoming, clean, and well-designed with lots of thoughtful touches, but the real highlight for me was the interaction with the hosts, Matt and Meghan, and their animals. As hosts, they are friendly, available, interesting people, and respectful of your privacy. Learning about their camels was fascinating and interactive- the camels are very friendly and have quirky personalities and LOVE getting pets. The farm's miniature donkeys are also irresistible, especially Snowflake who goes right in for the hug and kiss and has the softest fur. Location wise, the dairy is an easy day trip from the Denver area, and it's a beautiful drive. The yurt is a good distance away from the main house, so you definitely have your privacy, as well as epic views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range right out your front door. I spent the comfiest night there and cannot wait to return and share this place with more people. If you're an animal lover, this place is heaven. Thank you Matt and Meghan for a truly special time.

What a wonderful little yurt Matt and Meghan have!! Not to mention the view you get of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range! Pictures can’t do this place justice. Matt and Meghan were so welcoming and my sister and I loved the tour of the farm Matt gave us. You can tell they really love what they’re doing. We were greeted at the yurt when we first arrived by their adorable miniature donkeys and showered with donkey hugs. These animals are obviously well cared for! If you want to get away I would highly recommend staying with Matt and Meghan in their yurt! There’s even a hot springs right up the road if you want to make a trip of it. I’m hoping to make my way back soon!

This space is the perfect spot to unwind. The lovely scenery, kind hosts, and sweet animals are what make this place so special. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with all of the 'glamping' conveniences – like your own camp stove and kitchenware, comfy bed, and a hot springs just down the road, this spot is for you! Loved staying here and will be back!

We had such a nice visit to the Camel Yurt on Matt and Meghan's homestead over the holiday. They were so kind and welcoming. We enjoyed having a tour of the camels and donkey's areas, and seeing the creek on their land. It's such a beautiful, unique area!
One day we rented sand sleds and drove 40 min. to the Great Sand Dunes NP. It was an absolute blast hiking through the mountains of dunes and sliding down on our sleds.
Highly recommend!

Amazing!!! Don't think twice about staying here, just book it..you will NOT regret it! 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend.
This was on of out best stay ever. The Yurt was amazingly designed. It was beautiful from inside with all the stuff we needed for night. The firewood stuff was already in place when we reached.
In the morning the host gave us tour of their farm and it was amazing to see so many camels in the farm. They offered us home made chocolates made form camel milk.
It was great staying here and I would definitely recommend this stay if you are up for a different experience
We had a PHENOMENAL stay at Meghan and Matt's yurt. The yurt is quite spacious and beautifully decorated. Matt took the time to show us around the farm, where we got to pet and snuggle donkeys, camels, and barn cats. (Thanks Matt!!)
We appreciated the camp stove they supplied, as well as the coffee and french press. There's both a bed and a futon, so plenty of sleeping space. Plus, the outhouse was surprisingly pleasant. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here to anyone, and hope to make it back there soon!
I was passing through Colorado on a cross country trip and I could not imagine a more magical place to land after a long day of driving. Matt was so helpful and passionate about the incredible animals on the farm. He greeted us upon arriving and gave us a tour of the land. We were introduced to all the camels and given the opportunity to pet them. They were all so friendly and Matt provided lots of amazing facts and stories about them. Also the donkeys! Snowflake gives hugs and it might be the most incredible experience ever!! The yurt is extremely comfortable and the views are unreal make sure to catch sunrise, sunset and all the magical star gazing. It well exceeded my expectations and I am already hoping to return very soon!
Incredible experience! The hosts are so kind and welcoming and pay attention to every little detail so that the stay here is an A+ one! A super cute cosy yurt, gorgeous scenery, animals (camels!) . Perfect for kids ! There is even camel soap and fudge :). Highly recommend. My only regret: not having stayed longer ! Thanks again Matt and Meghan !
