This land has been in our family for four generations to graze our herd of sheep. We renovated our camps to provide a comfortable glamping space to those who want a one of a kind experience in the backcountry.  One of our best features is the solitude and exposure to Mother Nature. Here, you won't find quiet hours, disruptive campers, or noise & light pollution. These sites provide the ultimate experience for those willing to go off the grid, off the main road, & into the backcountry. This space is where the tourist crowds disappear & the rugged, raw beauty appears. As the crow flies, the property is just over three miles from the east boundary of Zion National Park. This land is where our family calls home & has been in the Lundgren family for four generations & is still used for agriculture purposes today. In late May, we unload sheep to graze the nearby meadows and mid-to-late summer, cows roam the area adding to the uniqueness of the experience.  This part of the country is home to textured red rock, blue skies, & numerous desert flora & fauna, making it an ideal spot for photographers.  Some of the animals you might spot include owl, bear, mountain lion, bobcat, deer, coyote, turkey, snakes, lizards, as well as many different types of birds. There is very little light pollution making the night sky dazzling & unforgettable.

Zion Backcountry Sheep Camps
We had a great time at the Sheep Camp! It's a rare combination of an isolated, peaceful location with some nice amenities that make your experience very relaxing. This is a great spot for stargazing and sitting around the campfire. Jen helped with any questions/directions and there were clear instructions on how to use everything available at the camp. We'd hope to come back sometime again in the future.

Amazing camping experience!
This location is unquestionably a hidden gem. We really enjoyed our time here. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Jen sent an incredibly thorough welcome information email and pamphlet that gave us confidence in using all of the camp's off-grid amenities. She also gave specific recommendations for the surrounding areas. I highly recommend booking if you want tranquility or amazing hiking. This site is also dog friendly. Our dogs were overjoyed since they got a nice large area to roam around in as their own backyard. The camp was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. We were sorry to have to go, but we hope to return!

Like a dream
Staying at Jen’s place felt like a dream. Instructions to get to the camp were clear and easy to follow. Word of advice- download directions on your phone ahead of time on google maps! Felt like we were on our own planet! The camper was clean and stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal, have drinks and make coffee. The outdoor shower was fabulous, as well as the camping chairs and hammocks. We got to check out the hiking trails with stunning views. I will DEFINITELY be back. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is- you just have to see it for yourself. Amazing amazing amazing!

Magical place
What a magical place that can’t be recommended enough. Jen is an excellent communicator and has thoughts of every little thing. This is definitely on the more glamping side of camping considering everything Jen has carefully put together at the sheep camps. We spent tonight in the silver camp and had the whole campground for ourselves. The warm shower and the toilets (with a view!) were super comfortable and the camp had everything we needed. We went out to Zion park to hike on one day (drive distance is okay, 1h20 max) but made sure we had enough time to chill and enjoy the grounds at Jen’s camp. It was amazing to play corn hole with all the hummingbirds flying around.

Peaceful solitude
We really enjoyed the peaceful solitude this campsite provided. All we could see and hear was nature all around is for as far as the eye could see. Plenty of shade under the trees on sunny hot afternoon and a warm shower in the evening. 3 stoves and a BBQ to choose from. Even the vault toilet had an amazing view 😆. AT&T signal was low but worked.

Beautiful and comfortable space
Jen was such a gracious host and the property was beautiful. The facilities and amenities were everything we could have asked for and the hammocks were wonderful. It was slightly farther from Zion than we anticipated but that’s because we did the Subway and my friend and I both agreed it was completely worth the time. I will be staying here again and can’t say enough about how restful it was being off grid.

Beautiful Campsite Near Zion NP
My group had an amazing time camping at the sheep farm! Jen was thoughtful and checked in along the way, which was helpful ahead of our weekend trip to Zion. She made sure the wagons were stocked with the essentials, and we all agreed that the land was truly so special. I would highly recommend camping here if you and your group are comfortable with a more remote setting (e.g., driving on unpaved roads, limited cell service, etc.). Thanks for helping make our reunion trip so memorable, Jen!

The sheep wagon had every thing you need for a stay. She provided firewood and we had a fire each night to make food. The sheep wagon had games, kitchen supplies and utensils, and it was nice and clean. The outdoor shower was really cool and the outhouse was stocked as well. Perfect glamping experience. Although, I would definitely recommend a higher clearance vehicle! It’s down a long windy dirt road, but the views are so cool! No sheep though.

Secluded Slice of Heaven!!
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! All I can say is WOW! If you have the opportunity to stay here, you absolutely MUST! We were overjoyed to stay in this sheep camp, as it was exceptionally unique, private, comfortable, and detail-oriented. Our host, Jen, left a lovely note for us, fresh flowers from the meadow, and plenty of clean towels/cozy blankets! It was so special to read her scrapbook about their family history in sheep herding. I browsed photos from several decades ago, and read about the first hand experiences of the camp we were staying in, truly an unforgettable experience. The outdoor shower was incredible, it felt so good to get a hot water shower while watching the sun set in the distance. The camp was equipped with games, all cooking essentials, and even a bluetooth speaker! There was plenty of firewood for us to use, and the campfire under the stars was just perfect. The mountain ranges that you can see from the camp are unbelievable. Our dog loved running around and exploring the meadow without any limits. Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven!

Don't miss out on the opportunity..
What a fantastic stay! I can't say enough! I wholeheartedly recommend the Sheep Camps. You will not be sorry. The location and the seclusion were magical. The facilities were impeccable. Jen took care of every detail to make this stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Jen's attention to detail allowed my daughter and I to truly enjoy the Zion experience. This included a back history to the place that provided a beautiful personal touch. I will be returning.

Beautiful!
There was a huge rainstorm on what was suppose to be our first day there so we had to cancel our first day and stay at a hotel until the storm was done. It would have been impossible to drive to the camp site in this storm or even shortly after the storm. The weather permitted us to drive to our campsite the following day and all I can say is pure beauty. It was a pleasure to be Jen’s property and get away from all the city ruckus. We will def be returning in the future. Thank you Jen for being an awesome communicator and helping us enjoy our time away.

wide open spaces
These sheep camps have been wonderfully renovated, the attention to detail is incredible, and they are stocked with everything we needed...coffee makers, outside stove, device chargers, comfortable beds and plenty of games to pass the time. The road is long and rough getting there, but the open sky and stars at night, the wide open spaces and incredible landscapes are worth it!

No cell service. 30 minute drive on a dirt road. The views are incredible. The northern trail head for the narrows is very close by. Campsite has most things you need, including a shower, a propane grill, tables, chairs, horse shoes and cornhole. The mountain towering next to you is known as Table Bench Mountain, but shows up only a few select maps with a google search. Cogswell point is nearby and viewable at the north end of the camp area. Zion is about 35 minutes away, meaning, if you want to go to the bottom portion of the narrows, get up by 4 AM. You'll drive back to the front entrance of Zion, park, and queue up in the line that is already there. Alternatively, this is an excellent campsite to explore the wilderness just north of Zion; you can see the peaks of Zion's canyon walls in the distance as you drive out to this site. Great place for solitude, silence, and viewing the stars at night.

Perfect solitude
My family and I loved it up there. I have two kids, ages three and seven and they loved having their own trailer to themselves while us parents got nights away from the kids in our own trailer. The views were gorgeous and there was everything we needed at the camp. The dirt road seemed scary before we got there, but it was no problem at all. Even with a little drizzle of rain we didn't have any issues. My kids are already asking when we can go back. I highly recommend this spot.

BEST CAMP
This camp was magical. It's about 15(?) miles deep into the back country completely away from anyone. It feels like you have your own private little piece of Utah. Jen does an amazing job managing the site. There are so many things available to make your stay comfy.. an outdoor shower with hot water, a cute, clean outhouse with a view, water/tubs for dishes, REAL dishes, candles everywhere, already hung hammocks, games.. i could go on and on. I love loved loved this place. So worth the money and the crazy dirt road that leads to it! lol

Wonderful, peaceful place
This place was the most amazing place on the earth. The view, the sheep camps and everything was great. They had everything we needed in the kitchen. Games, woods, bedding, cooking utensils. They had so many games and everything was super clean including the restroom and shower. We were so Happy that we were able to book this place and make it there. Jen was super responsive and very nice while We were communicating via text messages. Thank you so much for making this peaceful, lovely place for others to use. In terms of directions at some point you need to drive in a dirt road for about 30 minutes. It says 8.3 miles but it might seem more so don’t get discouraged and think that you are in the wrong path.

Unique, great spot!
This was such a great stay! Jen was super communicative and made sure we had all directions and a list of the amenities well in advance. The site itself is unique and super cozy - they've added lots of awesome touches to make it a really comfortable stay. My wife and I watched the moonrise over the hills and lounged on the hammocks to start our morning. The drive in is a bit tricky and Jen rightfully advises getting there before dark (we hit traffic on our way out so ended up late and it was tricky - but thanks to the clear directions we were fine)!

We enjoyed our stay. The place is so private, it felt like our own little haven. Our dogs loved their stay. Running around unrestrained and unleashed. The views were amazing with the mountain range, sunrise, sunset and the sky at night was illuminated with stars. (Ive never seen so many stars) The campfire and gazing at the starlit sky at night were the highlight of our trip. All the instructions/directions getting to camp was precise and clear. We love reading about the history about the sheep camp. Jen is amazing as the host. We definitely look forward to going back soon.

You won’t regret this great stay!
This place is amazing! Definitely has everything you need for a great glamping experience. I just went with my BF and the entire site was plenty room for us. Might even invite another couple the next time we decide to check out the area. The dirt road is plenty bumpy to the actual campsite and depending on the weather can get pretty muddy so if you have a AWD car it’ll probably be a little easier on your car, but my sedan was able to make it out just fine. Either way, really cool spot to just unwind or spend some quality time outdoors away from civilization. Would definitely come back! :)

The serenity and peace felt here on this land was something we will always remember. We did not want to leave. Beautiful cabins in remote Utah
This place is amazing! The property is very remote and the stars are incredible. It's about a 40 minute drive from Zion National Park. You are on a dirt road for about 20 minutes of the ride(it's bumpy) but totally worth it! The cabins on the property are very nice and clean with so many amenities. They have all the cooking supplies you need including tableware, kitchen utensils, propane stove, cooler, tables, and bins for washing dishes. There's a picnic area, hammocks, seating around a fire pit- they even have games like corn hole! We loved our stay here and would totally go back! Jen was super friendly and responsive and leading up to our visit. She sent very detailed directions for us since there is no reception out there.

Counting sheep to a peaceful sleep
Wow! What an amazing place and an amazing host. The camp is so remote, you feel like and truly are miles away from anybody, let alone civilization. The sheep trailer we stayed in was so well preserved, very comfortable and welcoming. Best sleep of my trip, hands down. Highlights - The twinkly little solar lights that came on in the night to help you stay oriented at night without a lantern The Outhouse with the pit toilet, which somehow smelled better than most places Deer jumping through the marshy meadow - surreal Full disclosure - my Honda Fit, with very little clearance, made it within 100 yards of the place before getting stuck in the mud on the property. We were stuck, nobody within miles, no cell reception. It's like the universe served me a little slice of humble pie for my birthday. We were able to hitch a ride to Zion Ponderosa and call Jen. She and her daughter drove an hour to pick us up, 30 minutes back to camp, and pulled out my dinky little car. Her kindness and generosity saved our trip, if not our lives :) Thank you, Jen. I would not recommend driving a compact car with low clearance up the road to the sheep camps, especially at this time at the end of spring, where the dirt road hasn't been flattened out. Most importantly, once at the sheep camp DRIVE AROUND THE PUDDLE, and the adjoining ditch, or you may be stuck as we were. 4 wheel drive also recommended.
