Piney Woods Camping
The land is very beautiful and has some trails for hiking which we really loved. The kids loved riding their bikes around, exploring the forest, and feeding the goats. We had no trouble getting our 28’ RV in position and all hookups worked great, no issues. The hosts are very friendly and guided us to our spot. We visited Jefferson, Texas one day which was very interesting and a neat town with a lot of history. Don’t miss the Museum of Measurement and Time (trust me). This is a great place to stay when in this area.

Perfect site with electric and water! It is close to the highway, but we felt like we were in the middle of the woods! Super quiet and beautiful. Hosts were very kind and friendly. We got to pet their adorable goats, and had delicious fresh eggs for breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

This was our first time using HipCamp and staying on someone's property and it might be our new favorite thing. We had no problems finding the place and it's a great location - near the cute town of Marshall and close to Jefferson so we could visit Caddo Lake State Park. Petra and Chris are so nice and the property was lovely. We did an RV hookup and only had one problem. Our camper rides low in the back and there was a little hill we had to drive up that ended up dragging and bending one of our stabilizer jacks, so lookout for that. However, Chris helped fix it in his shop and we were good for the rest of the stay. As a bonus we also got to visit their chickens and goats! We will come back and visit again.

If You Like Peace with Views....
What's not to love? Petra and Chris were so nice and hospitable! The land is beautiful, quiet, and private. We loved seeing the birds, butterflies, flowers... and of course, their chickens, cats, goats, turkey, and their dog Sampson.
Our cats had fun stretching their legs and finding new adventures while there.
Even though the septic is a little far, with another extension, it was great.
The eggs are delicious - I miss having our chickens!
The town of Marshall isn't too far, and have about anything you need.
