We enjoyed the peaceful and quietness of the pond site. the vast property is a great place to walk and explore. We foraged for wild Blackberry's for a tasty cobbler. The horses on the property are friendly and a very nice addition. Our miniature schnauzer and we enjoyed getting acquainted with the horses and they followed us around while we foraged and explored the property.
We will be back!

I camped in my hammock at the site near the Creek. I loved how secluded it was. The land has beautiful prairies and woods. I enjoyed hiking along the creek with my dog. Kelly is very friendly and brought me a couple gallons of water which was much appreciated. I cooked meals over the fire pit and with my camp stove, but there is also a grill at the site. I like the bathroom setup, which was much more comfortable and private than the alternative for primitive camping. You can tell how much Kelly loves the land and how much she loves sharing it with others.

The property is absolutely stunning—beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and a perfect escape into nature. Every corner felt like a hidden gem, from the scenic trails to the serene spots ideal for relaxing and taking it all in. What made the experience even better were the hosts. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their land and the people who visit it. I can’t wait to come back!

Kelly’s land was absolutely wonderful for a weekend of tent camping. The Sterling pond campsite was so spacious and serene. The fields of flowers were beautiful to walk around in and the forest hikes were so peaceful. We definitely felt like we were alone in the wilderness and it was so perfect. I would highly recommend!

It was nice spot with pond, bbq grill, picnic table and outdoor toilet. Only cons I have are idk if the pond was stocked with fish because we tried all day and night fishing and only got one little fish, there was a black and orange snake in the pond (nature ofc), so I wouldn’t say go swim or bathe in there. Also late at night there was really loud music and gunshots that sounded pretty close so with our kids it did get kinda scary.

Great little quick getaway of solitude from the large crowds of a state park and having an area all to ourselves. The tree frogs were an added touch to the ambiance.

My husband and dogs loved tent camping at Sterling Pond! The view was serene and everything we could have asked for during a quick weekend away. There are other sites on the property but they are so far away that you feel as though you are all alone. Kelly was very quick to answer any questions and provided all necessary resources for us to have a successful stay. We definitely plan on coming back in the future!

The area was well-maintained, with trimmed trees and bushes providing ample space for driving in and turning around. The setting was peaceful, with horses visiting the pond twice during our stay and water boatmen swimming beneath the dock. The farm felt boundless, and the three camping sites were secluded. This is our idea of an ideal camping spot.

Best spot we have been to so far. My daughter was thrilled when the horses came by during the night to drink from the pond. Lots of shade. Kelly was very nice and helpful. We will be back.

Everything was wonderful. Land owner met us at the gate and took us to our spot. Spot was perfect and secluded. We took hikes and the trails were clearly marked. We will be back for sure.

First time tent camping with 10 year old. He kept saying how peaceful it was. We stayed at the pond site and loved it! Saw lots of wildlife and a couple horses. We walked most of the trails and brought little kayaks for the pond. Great adventure!

Wonderful spot! We had plenty of privacy and it was incredibly picturesque. Everything we needed was right there and Kelly even checked in on us when a thunderstorm blew in. Very close to Tyler State Park too. Would love to stay again!

We stayed at Borah Farms because Tyler State Park was fully booked. It turned out to be the better choice as it was only a 20 min drive from camp. The hospitality Kelly showed us far exceeded expectations. It was clear she genuinely enjoyed sharing her beautiful property with others who enjoy the outdoors. They provided suggestions on where to explore their property and gave us a map to help us find our way. The pond campsite has a couple of flat spots to set your tent. I highly recommend a stay at Borah Farm and the pond site. We definitely will return.

This is a great location for real primitive camping. Me and my brothers loved it so much. You can walk the trail to get to camp or drive down it to get there. The campsite is right on the side of the river that runs through the land. This place is amazing. Beautiful land and the host is so kind and gracious, she even offered to help carry our gear down to camp on her side by side. 10/10 place is great. Already planning another trip!

We loved our stay on Kelly’s land. It was very peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the horses. Our dog had fun running around, and the kids enjoyed exploring the land. Kelly was very responsive, and even showed us the different sites around the property. Would definitely stay again!

This is a nice secluded spot with fishing and well maintained hiking trails - our trip here was great with zero complaints. Tons of amenities included for a campsite and the hosts couldn’t have been nicer.
