Emma’s tents have it all. She has gone all out to account for every detail. And if you think she missed something she actively seeks feedback. We had everything we needed. In fact, we loved it so much that our last day we opted to skip our excursions and enjoyed hanging out in the tent free of electronics and city stress. We listened to records, took baths, and played board games. We also enjoyed the outdoor horseshoes game and hide and seek! Thank you so much.

This place was a glamping heaven! We enjoyed our trip so much and Emma kept us so comfortable. She thought of everything we could ever need. Great distance from Big Bend! Will definitely be back and recommending this place to others!

We really loved the cabin. Wonderfully remote, and yet not too far from Alpine. It was a great midpoint for visiting Big Bend and McDonald Observatory. Emma was super accommodating. Highly recommended!

I loved this experience so much! Emma was so responsive and an amazing host. Directions were incredibly clear and I didn’t get lost at all. The tent was amazing and she’s really thought of every detail you could need staying there. If I find myself in the area again, I’ll definitely go back!

We loved our stay, it was so quiet and relaxing on the campground and very easy to find! The yurt was so cozy and there was a heater, bed warmer, and an a/c unit to help with warm days and cold nights (i recommend going late October, the weather was beautiful and didn’t need a heater) Emma provides so much for her guests to be comfy and taken care of and was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything! Thank you Emma we loved our week away and cant wait to come back

So great! Comfy. Well stocked. We fit 5 adults between the two beds and one air mattress. Wish we had longer to enjoy but it was quick in and out for big bend.

We loved the glamping tent. It was clean and comfortable and adorable. Emma thought of everything. We looked forward to coming back to it from the Big Bend National Park. It was a great experience.

The tent at Cholla Ranch was a lovely getaway. The tent was comfortable and had all of the amenities you need. I explored Alpine's Big Bend Museum and drove to Ft. Davis nearby. It was what I wanted out of a quiet weekend.

I he an absolutist amazing stay at Emma’s property. The communication both leading up to and during the trip was fantastic - Above & beyond, she is so helpful! The tent is incredible - such a comfortable bed and she truly has thought of everything. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else and will absolutely be back. The definition of hospitality!

Emma's land was the perfect place to relax after spending the day exploring Big Bend NP and the surrounding area! The inside of the tent was designed like a luxury hotel room while the outside allowed for access to the beautiful countryside of TX on a great sitting porch. As a bonus, the town of Alpine provided access to many great restaurants as well as close access to the The Desk on Hancock Hill hike- truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Additionally, the national park is about an hour away. If you are looking for a glamping experience near Big Bend, I can not recommend Cholla Ranch Camp enough!

We loved every minute of our stay on Emma's tent! There were so many thoughtful touches and details that made our stay cozy. Listening to the birds on the porch over a cup of coffee in the mornin ans eating dinner to watch the sunset on the porch were great ways to start and end the day. Thank you so much Emma!

The tent was great. The view and surroundings around the tent could be improved. A little more brush clearing around the tent we stayed in. Maybe individual parking so you don’t have to walk past your neighbors front door.

Emma has the best spot in west Texas, hands down ! She’s a great host who is always a step ahead and makes sure that her guests have everything at their disposable.
Other than that, stay at this ranch in Alpine whether your doing a hike at Big Bend or just passing through.
Recommend it over staying at Marfa ;)

Emma’s land is easy to find and the TW is very comfortable and well-appointed with every thing one needs to help make the stay enjoyable. The decor is impressive at the TW, from the beautifully re-finished furniture to the artistic touches in the bathroom. What a treat to have organic oatmeal and organic honey for breakfast. The deck is also quite comfortable and we enjoyed star gazing under the lovely West Texas sky. It was a real treat to stay at the TW and we plan to go again soon.

We loved staying at The Macintyre! Our wonderful hostess, Emma, thought of every last detail to make our stay most comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable. The decor was awe-inspiring, beginning with the color coordinated mid-century modern decor throughout the tent. We were impressed with the beautifully restored sewing cabinet turned bathroom sink vanity and the stereo console turned towel storage. The bathroom could be featured in a magazine. The bed was most cozy and comfortable during the chilly nights, and everything in the bedroom/living area was purposefully and tastefully placed to accommodate us and all our needs. My husband enjoyed his coffee and I enjoyed my tea, and we even had enough room for our friends to come join us from the other glamp tent and have a light breakfast each morning. We enjoyed wine on the deck and we loved watching the cows grazing in the distance. Such a peaceful, tranquil escape from the city noise. One evening we took our chairs off the deck and star-gazed as we ended a delightful day of hiking and taking in the area sights. We plan on going back again soon. Emma and Greg are delightful hosts!

Perfect.
Honestly, this place was absolutely perfect! We visited in the first cold front of November, so Emma had swapped out the AC for the heater when we arrived. Everything had printed instructions so we could settle in ourselves. The beds are incredibly comfortable, there is ample seating inside and out, plenty of places to stash your belongings for a longer stay. The en suite bathroom is a game changer in cold weather, and the tiny space heater in there made showering a truly pleasant experience after a long day at Big Bend. The toiletries were provided so we didn't have to pack as much nonsense.
There are thoughtful snacks and drinks laid out, a decent sized mini fridge, a phenomenal propane grill and an easy but effective hot plate for cooking outside! Plenty of plates, utensils, cookware & seasoning. Stop by the Porters in town to stock up on any food you need. Emma even cooked us a full, delicious meal!
The property is right off the road in Alpine so it's easy to get to and convenient for travel, but looking outside the front door you wouldn't know how close to town you really are. The birds and roosters sing you awake, and the coyotes sing you to sleep. The light from Alpine only dampens the dark sky a bit, you can still see the Milky Way and so much of our beautiful galaxy! Sunsets are unmatched. They dip below the mountains straight outside your front door, where there's a comfy couch and 100sqfr blanket for warm stargazing. 15/10, will be returning soon!

The perfect base for Aussies exploring Far West Texas!
Emma has thought of everything you might need to stay in the region - whether relaxing with a record playing watching the sun go down, or providing tips for where to eat in town! Not only was the tent cute and cosy- Emma’s service goes above and beyond. We actually could not have done it without her- she provided us with assistance when our train was delayed into the early hours. Thank you Emma- and for anyone looking to book, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Our stay was delightful. The campsite was a nice reprieve from the heat and a good place to wash up and relax after doing so more primitive camping before. We were only there for a night, and we were extremely exhausted so we didn’t take advantage of all of the opportunities provided by the host, but I’m sure if we had it would have been lovely. The environment was cozy, and it allowed for a great hand and some wonderful stargazing.

I loved staying in Emma’s glamping tent. Nights were chilly when we were there but there is a heater AND bed heaters (amazing)! They have thought of everything from all the bathroom necessities, to cooking/eating necessities, even house personal shoes to wear in the tent. The place is decorated so thoughtfully with very cool personal “West Texas” touches. My favorite part was having coffee on the front porch, looking out over the landscape & mountains in the distance. (Emma or her husband would deliver coffee each morning - but there is also a hot water kettle to make your own, if you prefer that!) I can’t say enough about this place. Loved it and can’t wait to stay there again in the future!
