Would stay here again
A really nice rustic-ish camp ground. The bathrooms are really clean, the showers are awesome as well, hot water is hot hot. Awesome pavilion to hangout in. Lots of space to enjoy yourself. 10 out 10 would recommend to a friend, family member, or acquaintance.

Spring summer yes
Very nice to deal with very easy to find lovely private cut as can be but the only problem for me was I came to get away from the sound of the highway and didn’t realize I would hear it so much, but once the trees fill in, it would be lovely. It was just cause it was winter. All the leaves weren’t blocking the road sound otherwise adorable.

Peaceful Camping in Chattanooga
This campground was such a wonderful find! It is located on the outskirts of Chattanooga and a perfect little private campground! This campground is perfect for pitching a tent with soft ground soil, and one site even contained a wooden platform for a tent! There were fire pits at each campsite and even complementary firewood at the entrance of the campground. This campground also had a beautiful view of the mountains and a little creek running by the tent-sites, super cool! The bath houses were some of the cleanest bath houses I have ever seen for a campground, and had steaming hot showers! There is also an area where you can wash your dishes, which is nice if you plan on cooking at your campsite. This campsite had tent sites, as well as RV sites, but I would plan on getting to your campsite as soon as possible if you want priority pick since there are not designated spots per reservation. Overall, this was a peaceful, adorable, and accommodating campsite and I would 100% stay here again!

Host was confrontational
I’m not one to leave reviews typically, but Thomas (the campsite owner) was honestly incredibly rude to us when we showed up. We arrived and were met with a “get off my property” attitude despite a reservation, payment, and phone call before arrival. Clearly he’s worried about freeloaders sneaking into his campsite, but there are about a million better ways to approach people without making them think you’re looking for a fight. If not for our headlights having an issue we would have left- prepaid or not. The only saving grace at this campsite is the hot shower set up. They are actually quite nice with really hot water, tall shower heads, lots of room per stall, and a propane wall heater for the whole room. Other than that the entire place is covered in half finished projects (kindly phrased rather than saying trash). Of all the ways I’ve picked a campsite before “least amount of trash” hasn’t been one of them until now. The train is quite frequent, but that didn’t really bother us as much as the interstate next to it. Which you can hear and see quite clearly. I know he can’t change his location, but he can clean up all of his old junk and put more effort into both the place and his attitude before asking $33 per night. I wouldn’t have paid $5. Sorry Thomas.

My son and I camped at site #3 for a night. The site was great, and convenient to downtown. Highly recommend for a quick one night camping trip or a several day trip. There are great views of the mountains from several sites as well.
