Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; take guided tours to learn about the farm, animals, plants, archaeology, and history or learn to make mead; and purchase eggs and homegrown seasonal food and products. I loved camping on Megans land! She was wonderful to work with, and the animals were amazing and so friendly! The tent is far enough removed from the rest of the property that you do not feel like you are encroaching on their space, and the added options on the booking were totally worth it!

Weekend Trip to Ross F.’s Land

We had a wonderful time camping as a family with our dogs at Ross’s place! He was kind, attentive, and accommodating, even the regulars who went to the site to find fossils and gold were so kind. Everyone was willing to help us, show us tips and tricks, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and could enjoy our stay. If you want a unique experience with family and some cool little treasures to take home and remember it by I would highly recommend! If you are close enough I really would recommend even just stopping by there for a day trip even to take part in just the fun experiences they offer!

My family loved the beautiful view where we stayed. There were huge, tall trees all around, and my dog absolutely loved running through the huge grassy field. The bathroom was clean, and having a sink, refrigerator, and AC inside the camp made everything so much easier and more convenient. Everything was great, and our family would love to come back again! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my first glamping experience! The Serenity Loft was absolutely beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The stairs were a little tricky at first, but I got used to them. The property itself was gorgeous and so peaceful—it truly felt like a little getaway from the everyday hustle and bustle. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the experience even more special. One of my favorite added touches was having a golf cart available to get around the property as needed. It made exploring and enjoying the beautiful surroundings so much easier and more fun! I would absolutely recommend this experience to all of my family and friends. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and memorable getaway, this is definitely the place to stay! I can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay at this glamping place and would definitely recommend it! We went in the summer, and it was a little too hot, so I’d recommend visiting in the autumn when the weather is likely to be more comfortable. The night sky was incredible and made the evenings really special. Our host was super nice, welcoming, and helpful. We also had a lot of fun getting to drive the golf cart around. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and I’d happily come back!

My boyfriend and I loved staying at The Retreat (screened cabin)! Jim and Becky were amazing hosts. The directions and communication were clear from the start. Our space was lovingly put together and very thoughtful. We were a bit worried about how hot we might get during our 2-day/night stay in August, but all the fans, misters, and other battery-powered cooling options kept us nice and cool. So did the paddling pool! The land itself is beautiful and serene. We really enjoyed sitting at the fishing pond at sunset, watching the horses graze, and cooking in the outdoor kitchen. Driving the golf carts around and playing basketball were also highlights of our stay. We can't wait to be back and try a different cabin or tent option next time. Thank you so much for having us!

1 night at The Homestead At Little Creek

My husband and I very much enjoyed our overnight stay in the bell tent at Megan's little farm! We absolutely loved our own little personal guard dog who even slept at the entry of our tent most of the night making us feel extra safe. It rained a bit overnight, but no issues in the tent. It was incredibly roomy and kept fairly cool on its own after the sun went down, and bugs weren't too bad inside the tent. We also loved our morning farm tour to see the chickens, goats, highland cow, and sheep! The goats were so friendly and loving all the pats. The chickens also hung out with us free range by our camp area which was refreshing. Megan and her family are all very lovely hosts and we felt very welcomed. We're glad we made the stop here on our mini road trip while visiting the states from Australia! Highly recommend. :)

Weekend Trip to Chalet In An Enchanted Forest

This was a great spot for my two girls and I traveling from the coast to the mountains on a Friday night. Nicely positioned underneath very mature pines. While there was an intense heatwave outside, the camper maintained its cool AC for comfortable sleeping. Kids and I had a fun time watching Charlie’s Angels on the DVD player. Linens were clean, microwave, bathroom and shower worked great. Location off the highway was very convenient but neighborhood felt like you were in the well maintained country. Sweet balance of convenience, confort and relaxation. Owners were cool and very welcoming.

Weekend Trip to The Cozy Heron Glamping

Absolutely loved our trip! The wagon was so amazing, the bed was comfy, the AC made the stay so nice to be able to get out of the heat in the summer! The bath house was luxurious for a camp site. So clean and cool temperature to escape the heat. The property was in perfect proximity to the restaurant and the river activities. You can float, kayak, canoe and fish the river which we did and enjoy the burgers and pizza and drinks at the restaurant all within walking distance of your wagon. We will be back again!

Gorgeous place! Very well thought out. I had a great time. Everything was clean, felt brand new, and I loved having the golf cart. They even added a little “swimming pool” - depth of water is about thigh high but it was so refreshing and my dog loved cooling down.

Rent 1 or all 3 shipping containers converted into tiny houses.

Not a great campground for rest. Super noisy. You hear jets overhead and the highway nearby. Not particularly pretty or unique, but a nice place to camp near the city. Rangers do the rounds at night with firewood.

Great park for camping, often not crowded. Easy 20min access into downtown Raleigh. However, right under flight path of RDU airport, so expect planes low overhead until 9am and after 6am.
