Along with your stay, we provide being big boards and bags for your entertainment along with a stereo for music. If your family is traveling with four wheelers or dirt bikes we have a large area to explore along with a man-made track that is on the edge of the yard. We are located 11 miles north off of interstate 90. We are 15 miles from Sioux Falls And 6 miles from Garretson (where you have the opportunity to visit Devils Gulch, Split Rock Park, or Palisades State Park!) We have a large area for children to run and play including three different places in the sandbox. Our animals would love to meet you!

There is excellent swimming with a sandy bottom at the south end of the lake. The lake is stocked with perch in 2024 but has walleye, northern, bass as well. It is also close to many lakes that are good for fishing. I have a 14' fishing boat with trolling motor, a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and canoe for campers to use for free. Firewood is available for $5/day. There is some hiking on the property and much near by. Biking is also good with small lakes nearby to visit. The camping here is very peaceful with wonderful views and the wildlife is awesome! 120 volt power is at all sites and 220 can reach sites 2 and 3. There is warm showers and flushing toilets. Also all sites are drive through on hard ground grass. Grates are provided for cooking over the fire. There is Wi-Fi internet that reaches sites 1-3

Welcome to Fruit of the Coop! This tranquil 7-acre property is a working farm located just outside of Sioux Falls, in the watershed of the Big Sioux River. Our farm features rolling hills and groves of cottonwood and oak trees, replete with wild turkeys, deer and coyotes. Take advantage of the short walking trail, beautiful sunrises, and the gorgeous views from the fire pit. The property is on a dirt road in a development of homes, mostly on 1-2 acre parcels, located between the town of Brandon and the city of Sioux Falls. You are welcome to walk the neighborhood. Guests have access to 2 marked parking spaces on the right side of the front, paved driveway. All guests have access to the grounds. Please do not enter the farm house or any buildings on the property. You are welcome to appreciate the short, self-guided hiking trail on the farm. The trailhead can be found in the SE corner of the back yard, where the pasture fence meets the treeline. Follow the blue trail markers to the Adirondack chairs, where you can sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view. If you’re feeling adventurous, the trail does circle around the entire 7-acre property, ending up near the front driveway. Please note that you will have to climb over or through a triple-strand smooth wire fence at the end of the hike and you may encounter horses on the 2nd half of the trail. 2 free parking spaces on site to be shared with the Airbnb guests. If these are full, please park along the sides of the driveway so a vehicle can get through the center and please do not block any garage doors on the property. You will come across chickens, cats, turkeys, horses and dogs while on your stay. Please treat them with respect and do not chase or feed any of the animals. The horses enjoy being petted from across the fence, but please do not enter into the horse corral or pasture. Our 2 dogs roam freely on the property, as do our 2 cats. Please do not allow any of the animals inside your tent. Even though we love animals of all kinds, we cannot allow guests to bring pets of their own. We want your stay at the farm to be top notch! We really enjoyed our stay — the campsite was peaceful and right by the water with everything we needed (kayaks/canoe/boat available). The host was very caring, friendly, and welcoming, even giving us fresh farm eggs, which was such a nice touch. The spot felt private and relaxing. The amenities are excellent: power at all sites, warm showers, flushing toilets, and well-maintained grounds. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short because of the high winds, but we’d love to come back when the weather is calmer!

The property was lovely and the owner's are so friendly and make you feel right at home. Loved all of the animals, especially their beautiful dog, Millie. The solar shower was a treat and there were so many decorations and gardens to see. We left with eggs, veggies and great memories. I would highly recommend and hope to return myself one day!

We easily located Brian's spot and enjoyed exploring the cute town of Luverne as well as Beaver Creek (The Cidery!) as well as Sioux Falls. For larger rigs I would recommend spots 1 or 2. We ended up in spot 4 and we fit in it just fine, but we're not the best at backing up and it took us several tries due to the angle. (That's on us, not Brian!)

A Little Slice of Heaven – Peaceful Lakefront Camping with an Amazing Host This place went above and beyond my expectations! I stayed for 2 nights and had an unforgettable experience. Jim is by far one of the most gracious, friendly, and welcoming hosts I’ve ever met. From the moment I arrived, he greeted me, showed me around, and made sure I had everything I needed. He even brought firewood right to my site and surprised me with a dozen fresh farm eggs—talk about hospitality! His land is a true hidden gem. The quiet lake is perfect for paddling or fishing, with a trolling motor boat, canoe, and kayaks available for guests. My campsite had electric hookups, a firepit, patio table with chairs, plus a mini fridge—a thoughtful touch that made camping feel effortless. There’s also access to a shower, flushing toilet, and outdoor bathroom, so comfort is never sacrificed. I loved that my two dogs could run around freely and enjoy the space—it was as much their vacation as mine! Nights were the highlight: no city light pollution, just millions of stars sparkling in the sky. Absolutely breathtaking. This place is serene, clean, and peaceful, with everything you need for a relaxing escape. I’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to Jim for sharing his beautiful property and making my trip so memorable. This one’s a 5⭐️+ stay all the way!

Highly recommend! Such a great little spot. We stayed at Site 4, which was spacious and set a bit farther from the others—perfect for us with two dogs and a toddler. The site came with a fire pit, table, chairs, and even a hammock. We loved the lake view and really appreciated the access to kayaks, a canoe, and a boat with a trolling motor. You can hear some traffic but that's to be expected due to it's location but it didn’t take away from how enjoyable the stay was. We didn’t get to use everything this place offers, but that just means we’ll be back again. The host was very friendly and welcoming, showed us where everything was, and made sure we were comfortable settling in. We came in from Sioux Falls, and it was absolutely worth the drive and the money.

Welcome to the Larson Homestead! Our 13.5 acres has a lovely view of the pasture, creek, and surrounding farms. We have pet goats, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, and kittens! Depending on when you come you could witness baby chicks hatching or baby goats being born or bottled. The goats are super friendly and love to be petted or fed. You can wander around the pasture and creek during your stay. There are many RV spots with the power along with a pool! Firewood is available on site. We reserve the right to prohibit fires if we feel it’s too dry or windy. A picnic shelter is available to use for assistance if extra bedding or space is needed. The picnic shelter is equipped with a loft along with refrigeration, stove, oven, microwave, soon, shower, and a toilet. Next to the picnic shelter is a large area to have a bonfire where you can grill food or just relax around and enjoy the scenery! Along with your stay, we provide being big boards and bags for your entertainment along with a stereo for music. If your family is traveling with four wheelers or dirt bikes we have a large area to explore along with a man-made track that is on the edge of the yard. We are located 11 miles north off of interstate 90. We are 15 miles from Sioux Falls And 6 miles from Garretson (where you have the opportunity to visit Devils Gulch, Split Rock Park, or Palisades State Park!) We have a large area for children to run and play including three different places in the sandbox. Our animals would love to meet you!

It is also close to many lakes that are good for fishing. I have a 14' fishing boat with trolling motor, a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and canoe for campers to use for free. Firewood is available for $5/day. There is some hiking on the property and much near by. Biking is also good with small lakes nearby to visit. The camping here is very peaceful with wonderful views and the wildlife is awesome! 120 volt power is at all sites and 220 can reach sites 2 and 3. There is warm showers and flushing toilets. Welcome to Fruit of the Coop! This tranquil 7-acre property is a working farm located just outside of Sioux Falls, in the watershed of the Big Sioux River. Our farm features rolling hills and groves of cottonwood and oak trees, replete with wild turkeys, deer and coyotes. Take advantage of the short walking trail, beautiful sunrises, and the gorgeous views from the fire pit. The property is on a dirt road in a development of homes, mostly on 1-2 acre parcels, located between the town of Brandon and the city of Sioux Falls. You are welcome to walk the neighborhood. Guests have access to 2 marked parking spaces on the right side of the front, paved driveway. All guests have access to the grounds. Please do not enter the farm house or any buildings on the property. You are welcome to appreciate the short, self-guided hiking trail on the farm. The trailhead can be found in the SE corner of the back yard, where the pasture fence meets the treeline. Follow the blue trail markers to the Adirondack chairs, where you can sit with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view. If you’re feeling adventurous, the trail does circle around the entire 7-acre property, ending up near the front driveway. Please note that you will have to climb over or through a triple-strand smooth wire fence at the end of the hike and you may encounter horses on the 2nd half of the trail. 2 free parking spaces on site to be shared with the Airbnb guests. If these are full, please park along the sides of the driveway so a vehicle can get through the center and please do not block any garage doors on the property. You will come across chickens, cats, turkeys, horses and dogs while on your stay. Please treat them with respect and do not chase or feed any of the animals. The horses enjoy being petted from across the fence, but please do not enter into the horse corral or pasture. Our 2 dogs roam freely on the property, as do our 2 cats. Generation after generation, the pipestone at this monument was quarried by Native Americans to make pipes. It is believed that a pipe carved from this area carries it’s smoke to the Great Spirit. While your there check out the blindingly gorgeous Winnewissa Falls with a nature walk along it’s stony bank.

I'd recommend camping here before it gets too buggy. We went in mid-August and had to bail on our campsite because we were literally overwhelmed by flies!
