We are across the street from Little Long lake and right up the road from Budd Lake public boat launches. We have deeded lake access to Little Long Lake with use of our paddle boat and kayaks. We can provide parking with a boat, trailer, etc., but will need to be arranged prior to check-in. There are several restaurants, delivery options, and a grocery store right down the road. There is also a putt putt golf, skiing and snow tubing at Snow Snake, arcade, batting cages, bowling, indoor golf, ax throwing, beaches and Wilson State Park. If you have side-by-sides, quads, jeeps, snowmobiles, or dirt bikes, there are endless options with groomed trails in the area for you to ride all day long. Our property has two cabins on property, the Harrison Hideaway cabin and Wanderer's Hideaway that can be rented together for larger groups or rented separately. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat. New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

Our most recent improvement is an air conditioner in the Crow's Nest. Sheila grew up just across the road and spent many hours riding her horse and writing poetry on the property. No discharge of firearms is allowed on this property. As a retired artist, we love to entertain creative peaceful people and many think of our place as a quiet sanctuary that encourages creativity. We provide games, both outdoor and indoor, a screen house, hammock, nature trails and a new camp store with local items and snacks. There is an Amish community close by and a tour map is provided. We are also close to the largest canopy walk in the US at Whiting Forest and Dow Gardens. Only 25 minutes away. There is a small water park in the closest town with a beach. Locally there is tubing and canoeing at the Cedar River in Gladwin and kayaking at Pinconning Park on Saginaw Bay. Guests can explore many antique shops as well as Pinconna and Northwoods Outlet store. Many of our campers never leave the property but choose to relax and watch the life of the forest. We provide linens, towels, and cookware. There is a grill outside and a microwave and oven inside along with a coffee maker and mini fridge.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, met us when we arrived to show us around, and gave us some great recommendations for places nearby. The site was clean, peaceful, and very well cared for, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit! We especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the stream each night. The string lights inside and out made the site feel so cozy, and the hot outdoor shower was another favorite! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.

Weekend Trip to "Elysium Heritage Farm"

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. My son, daughter in law and grandbaby enjoyed hours watching the turtles and fish, walking the trails and meeting the farm animals while learning about Elysiums history. Will always remember morning coffee on the porch, baby's first campfire and playing Frisbee behind the cabin. We hope to return next year!

Weekend Trip to Ricky’s Pine River hunt/camp

Really enjoyed my stay on Ricks property, it has everything you need to relax and recharge. The property is beautiful, well groomed trails with fun/clever decor hidden in the trees. Perfect place for my dog to roam off leash. Wish I could’ve stayed all week! Thanks again Rick :)

Weekend Trip to HillCrest

One of the best (if not the best) experiences we've had with hosted stays! My husband and I stayed at Hillcrest for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The property is stunning; it's obvious from the moment you arrive that so much intentional care has been put into curating a beautiful and peaceful environment. Dan and Bill are both warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. From a detailed tour of the grounds and unit itself to local recommendations , all our needs were met during our stay. It's in a great location to several towns and lakes nearby, or just hanging out on the property itself for a quiet getaway. We hope to visit again in the future and would truly recommend to anyone.

We connect personally with Dan & Arlene which is always nice, as well as some other people staying there. 5 nights at Twin Peaks By The Lakes Retreat

Cindy and Travis were incredible hosts! From the communication to the cleanliness, we couldn’t believe this gem. We loved the porch and backyard outdoor spaces, the living spaces and bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The outdoor amenities provided made the lake so fun. We would absolutely come back to visit and highly recommend this stay to anyone!

Such a perfect location! It was great for a few days of a father/son getaway. The cabin felt very secluded and yet it was still a short drive to activities. Rick is a great host and we would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Stillwater Cabin

Jeff's cabin was a great place to stay. It was so peaceful and private. Everything was built from wood on the property. Jeff really went out of his way to make sure that the cabin contained everything we could possibly need for our stay. The separate building for a kitchen was great for cooking when it was rainy. Having a shower was great. We walked around the property and saw the other campsites that were available. All were spaced far enough apart to feel like you were alone. I would highly recommend staying here. We cant wait to come back!
