Harvey’s Hill is a private hilltop campsite with 360° sky views, unbeatable stargazing, and access to our rustic Cantina featuring bathrooms, warm running water, and a basic kitchen. Just 10 minutes off the highway in Epping, NH, it’s the perfect stopover or peaceful escape. Harvey's Hill has been a beloved part of Epping for generations. In the summer, you might see small planes taking off from the hilltop airstrip or locals walking their dogs up to catch the sunset. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope. Surround yourself in the natural beauty of a working flower farm in Maine in this quiet, secluded location that's close to area beaches, lighthouses, and more. Located about an acre behind our family home (which you can see from the spot), the camp site is within steps of our barn, which has both running water and electrical hookups (20amps) for campers to use. An open field next door plays host to numerous deer and turkeys, and the flower fields feature a rotating lineup of beautiful blooms (depending on the time of the season.) We are located off a busy street where cars drive a little too fast — if you have a dog that needs to be walked daily, we would recommend stopping by the beach or one of the many nearby walking trails instead of venturing down the road. Max length of vehicles is 30 feet -- we've found that any longer and the turns are too tight. 10 mins to grocery store (Hannaford) and gas stations 12 mins to local beaches (Long Sands and Short Sands) 15 mins to Portsmouth, NH 20 mins to Nubble Lighthouse 25 mins to Ogunquit, ME 35 mins to Kennebunkport, ME 45 mins to Portland, ME This is a working flower flower farm and on occasion there will need to be someone working in the field near to the campsite, often during the very early hours of the morning (5am during the spring and summer, later in the fall.) That said, we don't use tractors or any heavy machinery and we will always make our best effort to communicate this ahead of time.

Large camping spot on the edge of a 125-acre farm. Convenient to most locations in Southern Maine and NH. Located near the center of town, there are stores and restaurants within a 5-minute drive. Excellent location to be away from tourist areas but close enough to visit -Beaches 20-30 minutes, RT 95-15 mins, Portland 45; Portsmouth-45 mins, Kittery Outlets -30 mins. White Mountains 1 hour 30 mins. NOTE- This is Maine, so we do have ticks. We strongly encourage the use of spray on yourselves and pets. NOISE- We are near a state road, so there will be some hum of road noise, unfortunately. Site has an open area with sunny or shaded place to set up camp. Guests are welcome to walk or hike around the property. There are open fields and some rough hiking trails (wear good shoes!) Small stream runs through the property and there are wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife about. This is a rustic site with picnic table, fire ring and chemical toilet. Pretty and peaceful. Plenty of room to pull in a motorhome, camper or pop up Pet Policy- dogs must be leased at all times and cannot be left at campsite if you are not there

Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. Such an amazing place! We loved hiking the trails, relaxing in the hammock overlooking the mountains, the views from the ridge lookout and the fireworks show was spectacular! Eben was the absolute greatest host; before we arrived he sent ideas and maps, greeted us when we arrived and helped set up and gave us some cool tips to enjoy the stay! We can’t wait to go back!

A secluded paradise hosted by the friendliest man in Maine. Daniel is a truly one-of-a-kind host. After a long day of driving and RV troubles, Daniel was a breath of fresh air. He welcomed my wife and I, gave us a tour of the property, and enabled us to immediately move into vacation mode. The campsite is set back into a deep, gravel driveway. There’s nothing but forest behind the site, and the driveway is long enough that if you’re dogs don’t like wandering away beyond line-of-sight then you’re going to love letting them loose. However, if they are quick to split and find their own adventure, understand that there’s a lot of unmarked forest around, and there’s neighbors past the entry to the driveway. We had zero problems (and saw zero people from our site) but our dogs stay within sight so that made it easier to relax. Water access is just within sight of another neighbor’s dock, but there’s plenty of distance. The path to the dock is well marked, but you may consider leashing dogs until you’re at the dock so as not to let them wander onto another property. Once you’re on the dock, you’re tucked into bush and have awesome privacy. The lake is beautiful, and the loons sing throughout the day and evening. Highly recommend asking for the kayaks - they’re singles but have room for small-medium dogs! Everything else included in the campsite description is accurate, so I’ll keep my last comment short: Daniel, we’ll be back next year!!

The trip was fantastic!! The sites are beautiful and two of them are in remotes spots which is really nice. Eben is the best host I’ve had. He takes care of everything and keeps the place looking great. I went camping with some friends and they really loved it. We will be back. I would recommend this place to anyone. Five Star!!!

We loved camping on Eben's property! Extremely well kept facilities, unique sites, and Eben is an awesome host. We stayed at the base camp (which is very roomy) and had a great time. Our dogs (and the humans) loved hiking through Eben's property! Easy to follow map and trail markings and well kept trails. You can tell lots of love goes into this property and we will be back soon!

Weekend Trip to Hussey Mountain Tree Farm

Eben was very welcoming and communicative He answered all of our questions and provided a great tour of our campsite as well as the walking trails on the tree farm. He put a lot of thought into the site and we loved the outdoor shower and sink. The site was very quiet and at night we could hear the owls which was very cool. We also had an issue with our RV and needed a wrench and Eben came right down and assisted us I would highly recommend this Hipcamp. My only disappointment was we did not have time to hike the mountain and see the beautiful views, next time.!

We didn't stay long but it looked beautiful, right by the river and lots of space to explore. Sites were spread out, not right next to each other. Great hookups, friendly hosts.
