Our property offers beautiful mountain views; many nearby hiking trails; nearby swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking at Flagstaff Lake; along with numerous back roads to explore and look for wildlife. You can also find ATV trails about a half hour drive away in the town of Kingfield. Ensure you are guaranteed a spot just outside the Bigelow Preserve and everything it has to offer. Our sites sit behind a locked gate that is monitored 24/7 with a security camera. Also, although we are remote, we do offer Wi-Fi for your convenience.
Please take note that our sites are remote. We may be right off a paved road, but the closest town with a store is a half an hour drive. Also be mindful that this is the Maine wilderness, there are wild animals that frequent our location, along with biting insects such as deer flies and mosquitoes. This truly is a beautiful location, but please be sure to pack accordingly for your stay.

We are set high on the piney east bank of the Kennebec River. The view is of the setting sun over the untouched hillsides on the opposite bank or the rising sun illuminating and bringing to life that same hillside while you take your first peak of morning. The river rushes by, not a house to be seen. In the distance a loon frolics and sings out it's soulful call.
Bald eagles soar over head, fishing, scanning the river valley. Owls hooting in the valley, come closer in the night to see who is still up. There is an echo in the darkness, works during the day too. The stars blaze overhead in the night sky, watch "satellites" track across heavens and the Aurora Borealis, if you are lucky and still up around the camp fire.
It is here in front of our camp, where The Kennebec River continues to flow but begins slowing down, stacking up depth behind the Moscow Dam and turning into Wyman Lake, 14 miles of the most scenic boating or paddling you can imagine.
200 yards north of the camp, The Appalachian Trail crosses the river, watch hikers waiting for the famous canoe ferry crossing. Or, hike a section of the trail, Pierce Pond is a healthy 2 hr hike from the camp, to a pristine pond for a remote dip or some fishing.
Bring that kayak or stand up paddle board, the river is fun right here, explore for an hour, a day or days. Whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing are huge in West Forks, (10 minutes North up 201, watch out for deer and moose) you'll paddle The Dead, The Kennebec and the Penobscot rivers, all the major tour companies are very local and there are cool bars and restaurants.
You can tube down from the Forks right to the cabin in a couple of hours.
We have a big high and dry platform for your tent and the whole space all to yourselves.

First camp is where we ask that you park your car/trailer. If riding ATV's or snowmobiles, this spot is closest to the trails! We have a small camp on this spot that we stay in on most weekends. There is a tent/camper site on the side of the yard. Parking is also available in the door yard. These spots have access to an outhouse that is fully stocked with anything you would need. There is also a picnic table and large fire pit.
The second site is for the remote camper! These spots are at the end of the property tucked in the woods. Set up your tent next to the babbling brook that curves around this site OR travel up a mountain and sleep under a canopy of trees.

Conveniently located at the top of Murray Street and only a few minutes from downtown Bingham. The winding dirt roads are perfect for a bike ride or hike. Watch your dog flush a partridge or your little ones explore beautiful Jackson brook. Quiet solitude is what you will find here. There are no motorized sports allowed on this property. Sorry, but ATV access is not available.
North Country Rivers is only 5 minutes away for your rafting experience. Wyman lake has a wonderful public swimming area and boat launch 15 minutes away in Pleasant Ridge and the Bingham Kennebec River boat launch is just a few minutes away. We purchased this land a few years ago when our neighbors decided to sell. It abuts our property
They used it as a place for their family to
gather and camp on during Maine wonderful summer season. It is a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view and a small pond. Hipcamp lets us share this spot and helps pay our property taxes.
We are located in the western mountains of Maine in a summer community on Porter Lake. There is a beautiful view of New Vineyard mountain from our 3 acre field.
We are going through some growing pains. We currently have no hookups available. We have added a bath house with hot showers which will soon be up and running. The camp sites have been relocated deeper into our property. A loop road behind our private pond provides the access. We will be adding power and water to all our sites as soon as possible. The camping area is fairly private from our neighbors along the road. The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near.
You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. The beach has a public dock, boat ramp, swim float, picnic tables and grills. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes.
Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

Hi I currently have camper/RV and tenting campsites for rent May-November, by the week or month, in Anson Valley, near Sugarloaf ski area 1/2 hour north of Farmington Maine. Electricity, well water, incling common outhouse on site and there is a sewer dump station for your porta potty or honey wagon. You’d have to dispose of your own trash and stay tidy. Located on a really quiet dirt road great for summer or remote workers. Ask any questions, Thanks for looking.

Loved our stay at Coos Canyon Campground. The site (46) backed up to a public path (which we were fine with but not all may be) and was a short walk down a hill to the Swift River. The site had electric and water and they offer a pump out service. The site was large and had plenty of room. It was nestled among seasonal sites. The campground only has WiFi at the office. Just be aware. The campground is very dog friendly and there were lots of dogs, all on leashes. The area was great. Walmart and a grocery store in Rumford (and legal cannabis) and touristy, natural resource activities up in the Rangeley Lake area, both about 30-40 min away. There is no shortage of water so fishing, swimming and panning for gold are all regular activities. The ONLY complaint I have is the staff using a leaf blower before 10am around the campground on a Saturday. Highly recommend overall.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Rangeley Solitude. Alexander’s communication was great, had excellent recommendations for the area, and stayed in contact with us before, during, and after our stay. With its close proximity to the quaint town of Rangeley along with the endless outdoor activities the area offers, makes this location prime. Our site was level and incredibly private. The site is tucked in off of a dead end road with a nicely cleared gravel area surrounded by beautiful tall mature trees. We enjoyed our stay at Alexander’s property and would definitely stay again should we return to the area. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven for others to enjoy!

Ladd Pond Camp ground is a nice quiet and relaxing spot. We were switched to site 2 because it was easier access. Plenty of space and full hookups. Not much for activities other than fishing, catch an release, and hiking. Great views especially from higher num era sites. And they have cabins available.

This was a beautiful spot to camp. It was peaceful here. We went with several friends. The owners met us upon arrival. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Sites are full hookup. The sites were well maintained.

We stayed here with our group of 9, on our annual UTV trip to NH. RV sites were great, and had plenty of space. The owners were very friendly and delivered firewood right to our sites! Our dogs enjoyed cooling off on the hot summer day in the pond. Great views, peaceful, and near local attractions. We can’t wait to go back!

We spent two nights on Ladd Pond during the 2024 eclipse. Tami and her whole family were there helping out and doing everything to make it a great experience. I overheard talking to numerous other campers helping them with little issues. They were always friendly and helpful. Site 5 is closer to the road than others so removed from most other campers (there are fewer than a dozen sites though) but you still have trees and a graveyard between you and the road so, while you can hear traffic, it’s barely noticeable. Though it was too cold in April, they had kayaks and other little watercraft available for use on the small pond. We saw lots of geese and maybe some loons. Overall a great stay.

This place is fantastic. Everything was well maintained and our site had great 30A power, septic and very nice water. We were at the back of the ground and there's a lot of space between guests, which is one of the main things we look for when selecting sites.
The region is excellent as well - great views all around. We'll definitely be coming back again.

The land is beautiful. There is plenty of space between RV spots and the 4 cabins. The hook-ups are easy. Each site enjoys its own picnic table and grill. There are so many trails that we all enjoyed, and the pond boasted the return of geese, red-winged blackbirds, and other spring visitors.

Beautiful place, but watch out...
Definitely some great camping in the area. Been going to Natanis point Campground all my life, and I ventured off to remote sites- One of them being on Lower Pond. This past weekend (July 22-27, 2026) I took the family and the dogs camping on lower pond's singular remote site (at least on DeLorme's gazetteer), and it was absolutely stunning and relaxing-for the most part. The only thing I would suggest to others, is to block off the entrance into the site(I used my personal vehicle). I had 3 older people(definitely 60+ years old), who obviously didn't understand boundaries or respect, literally walk right through my site with the dogs and everything like we weren't even there. "I have been coming here over 50 years" is what they will tell you, like it justifies their actions (huge eye roll). I had one even tell me I had no right to be there, and that it is a "state park"! (Even though the CAMPsite is CLEARLY marked more than once, I held a legit fire permit FOR the site, and on public reserved land-which hugely differs from state parks). Those 3 rude people were literally my ONLY complaints. EVERYONE else who ventured in to see if the site was empty immediately turned around, hassle free, seeing we were there. Great place though, for fishing, hiking, kayaking or just a peaceful campfire(WITH permit). Just watch out for people who think they're entitled to walk through you and your family's personal space.
