Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. But please know the camp sites are far from music stage, pavilion, and festival area, and the music is usually ONLY during the afternoons and over by 4pm, so the evenings are quiet. Many of our HH customers come back several times a year for our weekend entertainment. Since we are a working farm property, there may be farm activity early some mornings, usually weekdays. As a property owner, I'm pleased to offer a pristine location on a barrier island, with the beach on the east side and the Indian River Lagoon on the other. Our property boasts all amenities including waste disposal, water, electricity, and cable onsite (please note: there is no WiFi). Guests have access to a riverside boat ramp, 3 pools (one on the riverside, one on the beachside, and one in the middle with a spa), as well as 3 sets of tennis courts and a shuffleboard court. When we arrived he had someone ready to show us how to get to our spot which is secluded so very peaceful change from the busy state parks. The site was clean and had great space and coverage. Had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The campsite itself was very private, and the proximity to the “private-ish” beach was the best part. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was the perfect private getaway. The only downside was that the mini fridge at our site wasn’t working, so we had to rely on our cooler. Aside from that small issue, it was a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back for the peace and quiet.

JB Resort is 5 star and two 👍👍. Jamie and Bolton are wonderful hosts with an amazing property they are willing to share. This is a garden retreat with amenities galore including: pool, lily ponds, fire pit, billiards, indoor lounge with comfortable restroom facilities and hot water, private camping sites with electric and water, gated property is impeccably clean,, quiet, convenient, and restful. Best Hipcamp by far we have stay in over the past year. Nancy and I will definitely come back when in the Sebring area. We loved tent camping here! I loved that the horses come up to say hello (although keep an eye on your stuff lol!), it was nice to be surrounded by farm animals. There was ample privacy, the bathroom/shower room was spotless and worked well. Stargazing at nighttime was excellent. Luiz was a gracious host and responded quickly to any questions we had. 10/10 recommend!

This is a working farm and venue with great spots to car camp. The preserve on the property is a beautiful old oak hammock to explore. We saw gators, otters, heard coyotes in the distance. Fun spot to unwind for a weekend.

Tent camping with our two dogs in November. The site had a fire pit (sand with some cinderblocks) that fit our needs; brought our own wood. Toilet was close to site, site was clean and private. Bring bug spray. Goats were cool and property dog “Pete” was nice.

Martin's place was great, I really enjoyed the outdoor shower and the pool! The fire pit was perfect, Martin and I had some nice chats by the fire every night! The area was very quiet and peaceful, and Martin was a perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. Nice shady spot for my van. And, his dog, Lady, was very friendly, and she is very opinionated on the local squirrel population! Overall, I highly recommend Martin's place, it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay, and I will definitely stay here again!

We purchased our property in 2017 and longed for the dream to build a home. Well, we built that home. We are now ready to share our place where we find so much tranquility with others. You can see how the old orange groves worked as we haven't filled in all the furrows yet. The old orange Grove is now home to cattle, horses, goats, ducks, and our little family. Learn more about this land: Bring your RV away from the hustle and bustle of the city to the wide open spaces of the country. The only sounds you'll hear are cows mooing, goats baaing, and horses neighing. Sunsets and the stars are a site to see out here. THE PROPERTY: The owners live on the property with their 2 children and are willing to be helpful in anyway. Children are more than welcome to tag along. Being kid friendly is a plus for us as our kids might be running around enjoying their property. Can't forget dog friendly either. Our dogs love to greet our guests. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: If beaches are on your agenda, South Causeway and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park are only 25 minutes from the beach! Our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Carter's Grocery, which is only 4 minutes from our property. ACTIVITIES: We have chickens that lay eggs and are great for eating so if you'd like some fresh eggs, feel free to go over to their house and grab some. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! We cant wait to share our property with you and hopefully you'll find our place as somewhere you'd love to return!

Toto, we’re not in Florida anymore. Okay, technically we are, but spend a day in this state park and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the wide, grassy prairies of the midwest. Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park is home to one of the largest stretches of dry prairie in Florida. Hike, bike, or trot (via horseback) through the hundreds of miles of dirt trails to explore this unique natural setting. Take in the sweet scent of whimsically named wildflowers like Bachelor’s Buttons and Blazing Star, and see if you can spot a Burrowing Owl or the endangered Grasshopper Sparrow hopping among the tall grass. If you’re really gunning for a “Little House on the Prairie” moment, then join a ranger for a buggy tour. Perched in a seat high above the prairie, you’ll be privy to some spectacular views. Plus, the remoteness of this park makes for some awesome stargazing. So at the end of the day sit back and search the stars, content that you found a new slice of Old Florida.

Kilpatrick Hammock Campground
Just got back from a week camping trip. Loved this place! Had amazingly dark skies if you like star gazing. Lots of hiking trails and it was nice and quiet. The camp host Mary, Joan, Bruce & Darlene) were great and very knowledgeable about the park. They did run out of fire wood on a week it was actually chilly in Florida! Will be going back booked another stay as soon as we got home.
