The Ute Lodge was homesteaded in the 1930’s by Joe Fox who after leaving the military came west to settle in the White River valley. Joe was known for his friendliness, hospitality and wild stories. Today you might find much of the same. From Joe’s day to today it is a place where families come together to get away. The Ute Lodge is now owned by Karl and Mona Maser who celebrated 20 years of ownership summer of 2019! All summer our cabins are filled with guests from all over the US as well as international travelers. One of our favorite things about the summer is our weekly potlucks where we all share an outdoor meal. If Rio Blanco near the town of Meeker Coloraodo, is where you are headed out to, there's a Beautiful view from this "Dry cabin" with a cute and rustic feeling screen porch, by an interesting mountain with a rocky wall and hillside right outside the door, and overlooking the White River, and Beautiful green hills and mountains and much of the time- prettier and blue skies. We offer a peaceful, humble and quiet, furnished, yet not insulated just yet, 12X30, new structure that is categorized presently as a dry cabin with two full beds that are both working as hide-a-beds, where there are two screened windows and a fun screen room attached to the small but comfortable little covered porch. While we have plans for more developing in the future, we ourselves are in the process of working into our own plans for the overall site. Right now, a peaceful night's sleep is much of the idea of this stay. While there is some noise from the highway that runs near the property, it gears much towards agricultural travel, such as semi trucks headed to and from from the area. While we always will have handwashing water and a bottle of drinking water, we are in the process of developing, which REQUIRES that anyone who reserves is ALREADY equipped with sufficient drinking, any cooking water- and any necessary washing water for their overnight staying. There is a plug, small coffeemaker, and microwave which are within the structure. Some paper towels or napkins and a tissue box are provided. While much of the time, there are ample hand towels for some convenience and extra older sleeping bags, it is not our responsibility at this time to "provide linens". Trained pet may accompany a guest, and are not the responsibility in ANY WAY of the management. Parents or guardians are completely responsible for any children or guest that accompanies them. At this time, this structure is only for people who can walk up a 100 foot, small hill without any assistance that is not already accompanying them. Owners are not responsible for providing night time bright lights. While there is always a lamp it doesn't always provide enough light for some. There is no cooling system within the structure, and only overnight is cool in the summer-(Checkout is before 10 AM).

River Camp RV Park is located directly on a beautiful bend of the famed White River near the base of the iconic Flat Tops Wilderness near Meeker, Colorado. The park is nestled in a scenic valley, surrounded by beautiful ranches and mountains. The 13 acre property is well laid out and provides spacious sites that afford great privacy and quiet. Mature trees on the property offer great shade and the grounds are covered with a beautiful lawn. The RV park is well maintained and always clean. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Turkeys and deer wander through the park and the bird watching is stellar. Keep your speed at 10 mph upon entry and 5.5 mph once you enter the RV sites. We MUST keep our wildlife and guests safe! The Speed Limit begins at the Park entry gate and all through the park. River Camp RV Park offers 20 well-situated RV sites, each with a level gravel pad. Each site has full hook ups, including water (with great water pressure), sewer, and 30 and 50 amp outlets. Most sites will accommodate a 38' RV and Class A, B, and C Motorhomes. A majority of the sites will also accommodate a 44' RV. In addition to the RV Sites with full hook-ups, we also offer dry camping and can accommodate large groups. We can provide water for our campers that are in the dry camp areas and we have a dump station area for you before you leave. Water is also provided for those that are in their tents or small camper trailers. Please note: we do not have a bathhouse. Porta-potties are near the dry camp area marked 20A-20E. Each site, including dry camp, has a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase. WiFi is also provided. Please keep in mind we are in a rural location and can NOT promise perfection when it comes to the WiFi. There is NO public boat launch for the river. Guests do have access to the river for leisure fishing with fly's and lures only. ATV's and Side-by-Sides; we do not have a trail from the park, however, we do have trailers for rent and we will guide you to get you to the trails with the available trailers. Here we have 5 cabins available for nightly or seasonal rentals! Rent 1 or rent them all! Our Seasonal rentals are available March-May, June- August, and Dec-February! We are located on Highway 330 East in Collbran, CO. We are 9 miles past the Vega turn heading East. We sit around 7600 elevation. There are two horse corrals on site. Water accessible but you must bring your own feed. Let’s start with our main cabin! Our main cabin fits up to 8 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen with stove & oven, washer/dryer, Full bathroom. This cabin has access to WiFi. Hot water and has propane and wood heating options. Cabin Sunset- This cabin is cosy and inviting, sleeps 2 people with full bathroom! Hot water, propane heater and kitchen supplies that are needed. Cooler supplied in room also! WIFI access Cabin Sunrise - This cabin is cosy and inviting, sleeps 2 people with full bathroom. Comfortable beds, hot water, and propane heater. Has kitchen area with a fridge, stove and washer dryer combo for seasonal rentals. Cooler for short term guest supplied in room. Fire pit located outside cabin! WIFI access Cabin Wildflower- This cabin is our second biggest. This has 2 rooms, separated with a kitchen and full bathroom, kitchen is supplied with fridge/freezer for seasonal rentals, a washer and full kitchen utensils. WiFi access. Cabin has fire pit located outside and a usable grill! A cooler is provided in room for short term guest Cabin Rustic- This cabin is very unique and off grid! Sleeping for up 8 guest. It recently had solar electricity installed, outhouse, outdoor shower unit with hot water, (outdoor shower not available in winter moths) and WiFi! Wood burner and propane heating options. These cabins are very different in their own ways, they run on solar, but we do have a back up generator for emergency use! All our cabins have electricity! Generator will run 3 times a day in high power demand or low sunlight conditions to ensure there is always power and access to utilities. 7am-9am 12pm-2pm 6pm-8pm These cabins are great for all occasions, hunting, glamping, family occasions, party’s, wedding events, ATVS, snowmobiles, horse back riding, star glazing, hiking! you name it we can for sure cater for it!

If Rio Blanco near the town of Meeker Coloraodo, is where you are headed out to, there's a Beautiful view from this "Dry cabin" with a cute and rustic feeling screen porch, by an interesting mountain with a rocky wall and hillside right outside the door, and overlooking the White River, and Beautiful green hills and mountains and much of the time- prettier and blue skies. We offer a peaceful, humble and quiet, furnished, yet not insulated just yet, 12X30, new structure that is categorized presently as a dry cabin with two full beds that are both working as hide-a-beds, where there are two screened windows and a fun screen room attached to the small but comfortable little covered porch. While we have plans for more developing in the future, we ourselves are in the process of working into our own plans for the overall site. Right now, a peaceful night's sleep is much of the idea of this stay. While there is some noise from the highway that runs near the property, it gears much towards agricultural travel, such as semi trucks headed to and from from the area. While we always will have handwashing water and a bottle of drinking water, we are in the process of developing, which REQUIRES that anyone who reserves is ALREADY equipped with sufficient drinking, any cooking water- and any necessary washing water for their overnight staying. There is a plug, small coffeemaker, and microwave which are within the structure. Some paper towels or napkins and a tissue box are provided. While much of the time, there are ample hand towels for some convenience and extra older sleeping bags, it is not our responsibility at this time to "provide linens". Trained pet may accompany a guest, and are not the responsibility in ANY WAY of the management. Parents or guardians are completely responsible for any children or guest that accompanies them. At this time, this structure is only for people who can walk up a 100 foot, small hill without any assistance that is not already accompanying them. Owners are not responsible for providing night time bright lights. While there is always a lamp it doesn't always provide enough light for some. There is no cooling system within the structure, and only overnight is cool in the summer-(Checkout is before 10 AM).

River Camp RV Park is located directly on a beautiful bend of the famed White River near the base of the iconic Flat Tops Wilderness near Meeker, Colorado. The park is nestled in a scenic valley, surrounded by beautiful ranches and mountains. The 13 acre property is well laid out and provides spacious sites that afford great privacy and quiet. Mature trees on the property offer great shade and the grounds are covered with a beautiful lawn. The RV park is well maintained and always clean. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Turkeys and deer wander through the park and the bird watching is stellar. Keep your speed at 10 mph upon entry and 5.5 mph once you enter the RV sites. We MUST keep our wildlife and guests safe! The Speed Limit begins at the Park entry gate and all through the park. River Camp RV Park offers 20 well-situated RV sites, each with a level gravel pad. Each site has full hook ups, including water (with great water pressure), sewer, and 30 and 50 amp outlets. Most sites will accommodate a 38' RV and Class A, B, and C Motorhomes. A majority of the sites will also accommodate a 44' RV. In addition to the RV Sites with full hook-ups, we also offer dry camping and can accommodate large groups. We can provide water for our campers that are in the dry camp areas and we have a dump station area for you before you leave. Water is also provided for those that are in their tents or small camper trailers. Please note: we do not have a bathhouse. Porta-potties are near the dry camp area marked 20A-20E. Each site, including dry camp, has a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase. WiFi is also provided. Please keep in mind we are in a rural location and can NOT promise perfection when it comes to the WiFi. There is NO public boat launch for the river. Guests do have access to the river for leisure fishing with fly's and lures only. ATV's and Side-by-Sides; we do not have a trail from the park, however, we do have trailers for rent and we will guide you to get you to the trails with the available trailers. Please see our "Things to Do" page for more information. Camp Managers, James and Amy are onsite at site 13. They are always available to help.

There is no cell service in the immediate area so make sure to download maps in that the property has the river through it so down in the valley.

So peaceful and beautiful. Great trails for some hiking and the pond was a great place to spend some time. Loved sitting outside with morning coffee and listening to the creek and animals. Loved hearing the horses, ducks, chickens and pigs. She was nice and a pleasure to talk too and her 2 dogs are so friendly and sweet. Was very helpful and helped accommodate us with our 45’ foot rig. Had a nice area with a sand box, swings, basketball and games and an area for bonfire. Well worth the visit!

All set up with linens, towels, soaps etc. clean and neat. Tiny kitchen. Don’t plan big dinners. There is a grill and propane. No inside table. Small sofa. Very nice loft sleeping area. Bed is very comfortable. Slept great! Bathroom is tiny but fine. No more than 2-3 people for sure. Campground is adorable! Looks like a Western town with all the different tiny homes. Nice outdoor fire pit for all to use. Definitely highly recommend.

Home on Wheels is a truly sweet and special place. Hosts Mona, Carl and Martina could not be nicer. It was so fun to enjoy the farm life, pet the horses, feed the pigs our scraps, listen to the chickens, play the games and sit by the community fire. We mainly hiked and fished all over the gorgeous area. We will be back!

Nearly 7 acres overlooking the White River on the edge of White River National Forest. Bordering a wildlife preserve which offers nearly a mile of public fishing on the White River and Coal Creek. Take your UTV/ATV to town or for a day ride upriver directly from the campsite as the camp is situated on the OHV trail that extends from town (2 miles from the campsite) to the White River National Forest (more than 40 miles up the river). Incredible views and wildlife galore. Turkeys often rest in the trees across the river, and it is not uncommon to watch deer tangle antlers during the rut. Eagles nest in the trees across the river and are often seen fishing from the trees directly across from the campsite. The sunsets from this campsite will leave you breathless. Nothing better than camping, relaxing or fishing on the White River!

The Ute Lodge was homesteaded in the 1930’s by Joe Fox who after leaving the military came west to settle in the White River valley. Joe was known for his friendliness, hospitality and wild stories. Today you might find much of the same. From Joe’s day to today it is a place where families come together to get away. The Ute Lodge is now owned by Karl and Mona Maser who celebrated 20 years of ownership summer of 2019! All summer our cabins are filled with guests from all over the US as well as international travelers. One of our favorite things about the summer is our weekly potlucks where we all share an outdoor meal. All of our visitors have a standing invitation to join us around the community campfire at night. From our beautiful private lake (where you can paddle-board, kayak and fish), to immediate access to the Papoose and Crooks Park Trails on National Forest land, as well as the vast variety of wildlife that roams around, you can find what you need here to unplug and get away from it all.

Enjoy hut-style glamping at its finest in our modern mountain yurt. Bask in the sun and take in the stunning panoramic mountain views on our one-acre property above the quirky town of Marble, CO. The heated bathhouse features a toilet and foot pump sink. Purified drinking water is available from May - September. You must bring your own water from October - April. The kitchen features an oven/range and basic cooking and serving supplies. There is no refrigerator, so please bring your own cooler and ice. Campfires are allowed, but it is your responsibility to determine if there is a fire ban in effect. Firewood may be available or dead wood can be collected on the property. There is a picnic table nestled in the scrub oaks. We only rent one side and the entire property is private to you! We do have neighbors, but the property is pretty well tucked away. You may see the occasional vehicle or hiker on the road or hear someone doing some yard work, but it is generally very quiet and secluded at the yurt. Our neighbors have chosen to live in Marble for its privacy and tranquillity. Please show them respect by keeping the noise down and leaving them be. If you have questions or need help, call us from the yurt landline. Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. During large snow events, driving to the yurt may be impossible in any vehicle. Skiing to the yurt may be an option Dec - Feb. Gear sleds are available at the yurt for your use.

Situated in Western Colorado, not far from the White River National Forest, Rifle Falls State Park is a pretty, compact spot that attracts anglers, hikers, campers, and anyone who appreciates a good waterfall. The park's star attraction is its namesake Rifle Falls, a 70-foot-high triple cascade that tumbles down into East Rifle Creek. Many visitors also take a little time to explore the park’s limestone cave system or hike up to the top of the falls. Camping here is available throughout the year, and the park offers 20 walk-in tent sites and RV sites with electric hookups.

When to go

Rifle Falls is a year-round attraction, though it's at its busiest in the summertime—if you do want to come in summer, try to arrive early to snag a parking spot. Late spring is a great time to visit, when there's plenty of waterflow and generally pleasant weather, while winter snowfall gives the waterfalls an otherworldly feel. The campgrounds are open throughout the year, but running water is only available in the late spring through early autumn.

Know before you go

  • The nearest place to stock up on groceries and supplies is in Rifle, about a 25-minute drive from the park.
  • Rifle Falls gets very busy in the summer months and non-campers will be turned away if the parking area is full.
  • Parking is not included in camping fees. All campers will need to display single-day or annual parking passes, available online and in person.
  • Campsite #2, in the Drive-in RV/Tent Campsites area, is ADA-accessible.
  • The park offers year-round camping, but water is shut off between November and the middle of April.

Great family friendly campground. Hike in tent camping adjacent to parking with wagons available to tote gear to site. Most sites are adjacent to a creek so you are lulled to sleep by the sound of rushing water. Plenty of room between sites and all are nestled in the trees with plenty of shade. Numerous hikes ranging from 1-3 miles, all of which are perfect for families. Plenty of wildlife with deer, fox, moose, chipmunk, turkey and more. Reservations a must.

Walk-in Tent Campsites
All the walk-in sites are amazing. #14 where we stayed had an amazing sheltered canopy for rain and heat. RV sites are a bit tight. Take the trail to the walk-in sites up to top of waterfalls. Stop by Harvey Gap State Park and stroll around the reservoir.
