Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins:

Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Welcome to The Record Room - Built directly from our hands and our hearts, The Record Room borders the fine line of camping and glamping, with a wood-fired cedar hot tub and outdoor shower that feeds off a small artesian creek, a sauna tucked within the trees, overlooking scenic ridge, and solar-powered vinyl that plays inside and out across a vast selection of vintage, classic, and current albums.
Back to our small creek, there are plenty of quaint spots to dip your toes. The Monguap River is close enough to see and hear, and the Delaware River is just 2 miles up the road, with rafting, kayaking, and canoeing companies all along it.
A queen Tempur-Pedic bed, as well as an overstuffed futon, will take care of you come nightfall. The outdoor kitchen is built for cooking some real food - a flat-top grill, a single burner, a stainless steel grate grill, cast-iron pans, and all utensils, all powered by propane. A wood stove inside will handle the chilly mornings and brisk nights. We have a pool table under a custom-built pavilion just for your enjoyment. And last but certainly not least, our outhouse, which is maintained by the women of our family.
We also have a nearby waterfall, which is as close as a three-minute drive down the road. The Hawks Nest lookout is under 10 minutes away. We recommend downloading a trail finder app, as once you arrive here, there will be zero service or wifi. Since we only have one bed and one futon, only four individuals can sleep comfortably, but we also have a couple of spots for your friend circle to set up some tents. Our mission is to get people back into the life we feel so disconnected from nowadays, and we provide the space to be able to do so.
We highly recommend the firewood package, as it makes life much easier, unless you plan on picking through the woods on your property (which we totally support!)

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably.
Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, extra cot and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .

Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins:

Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land.
There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property.

All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim).
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. A queen Tempur-Pedic bed, as well as an overstuffed futon, will take care of you come nightfall. The outdoor kitchen is built for cooking some real food - a flat-top grill, a single burner, a stainless steel grate grill, cast-iron pans, and all utensils, all powered by propane. A wood stove inside will handle the chilly mornings and brisk nights. We have a pool table under a custom-built pavilion just for your enjoyment. And last but certainly not least, our outhouse, which is maintained by the women of our family.
We also have a nearby waterfall, which is as close as a three-minute drive down the road. The Hawks Nest lookout is under 10 minutes away. We recommend downloading a trail finder app, as once you arrive here, there will be zero service or wifi. Since we only have one bed and one futon, only four individuals can sleep comfortably, but we also have a couple of spots for your friend circle to set up some tents. Our mission is to get people back into the life we feel so disconnected from nowadays, and we provide the space to be able to do so.
We highly recommend the firewood package, as it makes life much easier, unless you plan on picking through the woods on your property (which we totally support!)

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation.
Each camp site has a small private firepit and picnic table and the cabin has a large firepit, a patio area, and back deck. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season.
There is a wooded site, an open site for self contained campers and tent campers, the "lil log cabin" and a large open grassy area, fun for children or dogs to recreate.
How about camping in a Vintage Camper! We have on its own site a 1965 Trotwood, canned ham style camper. This cozy piece of the past is restored for nostalgic reflection. It has fine appointments, kitchenette, indoor private potty. She will sleep 4 comfortably.
Or, stay in 'little log cabin' our cozy and complete cottage with full kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, and a pull out sofa, extra cot and pack and play. (Sleeps 4).
There are many parks, conservation reserves and nature trails to hike nearby. Your can bike along farm roads in the area and find places to have your picnic lunch. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver.
Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area.
Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters.
For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera.
For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. Boutiques, art studios, antique shops and restaurants .

My family & I stayed here with our reactive dog & also added the glamping tent during early April. The weather was chilly & wet, but that didn’t spoil our fun! The cabin warms up quickly with the wood burning stove, & the tent heats up fast (and cools off fast) with a provided propane heater. There’s a proper bed & rugs in the tent & I packed accordingly for the weather, so we didn’t sleep cold. The cabin is tiny (as stated), but don’t let that deter you. It’s well appointed & thought out. The owners put so much love into every detail in this property. We didn’t take advantage of the provided StarLink WiFi, the TV, or the projector because we wanted to be as analog as possible. We DID play an epic game of Monopoly & we cooked every meal in the outdoor kitchen. The compostable toilet was surprisingly inoffensive. The cedar chips do a great job of warding off the offending #2 odors… there were some minor adjustments to having to pee beforehand. Did not use the outdoor shower simply because the thought of being wet outside when it was so cold out didn’t sound appealing to us. Stuck to using travel body wipes when necessary. I DID do a cold plunge in the swimming hole on the only mildly temperate day when the sun came out for a visit! It was refreshing & fun. Kids fished (no catches). Last morning there, I swear my boyfriend & I (sleeping in the tent) heard Bigfoot walking by!!!! You feel like you’re in a world forgotten, even though you’re still so close to everything.

Weekend Trip to Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard
We booked this on a whim when other plans feel through, and it served us well. It was easy to get to, basically off the grid, but had the kitchen to make it practical. Property is gorgeous and house sites (2) were secluded and separate enough.
The food they offer and sell was absolutely redunkulous. Worth every dollar.
For early spring after a harsh winter, access was a bit muddy and challenging to traverse, but we that was disclosed so we planned accordingly.
Geographically, worked well for us. Only 35+ minutes to the Livingston Manor area and Mohonk hiking.

I loved this cabin!!! You literally only need to show up with food and clothing. Everything else is there. Whatever you need to cook or be comfortable with is there. The hosts are super helpful when I had questions through the app. Took a nice relaxing weekend with my friend and we loved it.

everything you’ll ever need for a cozy stay outdoors. we chose this spot because of the tiny shelter it afforded during what was going to be below freezing temps. The kitchen space and bed set up was much appreciated and allowed us to focus enjoying the stay itself. The owners were super helpful getting us setup and providing a welcoming space. Bring layers and everything you need to keep warm in the winters - we even caught a light snow storm on our morning of departure! would come back again.

2 nights at Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat
This cabin was exactly what my partner and I were looking for for a quiet two-day retreat that felt outdoorsy without all the work of true camping. Space heaters and a woodstove kept it fairly cozy for cold November nights, and there was a ton of wood available for the outdoor firepit. We enjoyed exploring the collection of board games and CDs inside, plus outdoor badminton and frisbee under the lights. Beautiful clear stargazing, and easy driving distance to some great hikes.

The Cabin with No Name exceeded every expectation we had. The awesome book selection, incredibly comfortable bed, the amazing shower, the vast land of trails behind it all paired with quirky/cozy decor are only a few of the warm takeways from this experience. Kat swiftly responded to us and answered all our questions promptly. We enjoyed it here so much we decided to extend our trip in the middle of it. It's obvious the care, attention and love that was put into this place. It truly felt like our home away from home. Would absolutely return here.

We stayed at the Record Room Cabin this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The hot tub with warm water and hot tub made for such a unique experience — truly unforgettable. The sense of privacy and peace was perfect, and the vinyl record collection was just incredible. There's even a magnificent pool table under a canopy with a view of the forest – a truly stunning sight. I agree with all the comments above. This is truly an amazing place! I really hope to come back again!

My sweetheart and I had such an amazing time at The Record Room. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we had one more! It was a cozy getaway that felt timeless. We loved setting the vibe with the records, dancing in the living room, and just enjoying some slow, peaceful days. It was cold when we went and one day was particularly rainy, but there is a lot to enjoy indoors and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. One thing to note is that the wood provided is rather thin and burns fast. For this reason, heating the hot tub and keeping the indoor fireplace lit is a JOB! We had to add every 15 minutes or so. Our recommendation is to start early on the hot tub and bring some of your own logs as well - even better if they’re the big fire-starter ones. Overall it’s a special place. Masen and his family are great hosts and we hope to make it back again someday.

We loved our stay at Kat’s land in her cozy and quaint cottage. It has the perfect layout for sleeping, relaxing by the fireplace, making food (and roasting smores!) We couldn’t have picked a more perfect time to visit - the fall colors were on full display. I selected to have fresh eggs and two bundles of firewood which was very convenient. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of fresh towels and blankets for all. We loved how stocked the bookcase was with books and games for all ages! The best part of the cabin was getting to hike down to the small creek and trails. It was just perfect and the whole house is quite convenient to town. We enjoyed our stay!

Masen was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The Record Room was a cool place to stay and we really enjoyed it there. Yes, it takes some time to get the hot tub warm but just make a plan and make it happen cause it’s awesome! It was especially magical with a full supermoon lighting up the sky!
A great little retreat with lots of hiking in the area, and pretty views. The property was fairly well equipped. The stream on the property was dried up from no rain, and though bummed, Mother Nature is in charge, so we readjusted our expectations. Just a little disappointing how quickly the power was gone from listening to records. We didn’t really need power but for that, with our constant campfire and our lanterns while we were on site, but we wanted wanted more music! Haha The collection is fun and diverse!
Overall, the Record Room is a cool experience and I recommend it!

We had a fantastic time at Kat’s place for the weekend. It was perfect for our getaway. There’s easy direct access to a beautiful wooded area with a number of falls of different sizes. The cabin is well decorated and I appreciated all the games, including games for kids. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Ralph was more than accommodating, he made sure that we had everything we needed every day. Minnie the dog also checked up on us daily as well! The spots are HUGE and private. A gem of a campsite. Not your typical campground but great for a much needed recharge.

Not your typical campground, this peaceful Eden offers private campsites throughout the property, the only thing small about it is the number of sites offered. Each site is Huge and the owner, Ralph is very friendly. The farm dog, Minnie, greeted us with a warm wag of the tail. He was more than accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed despite having to run a busy farm. A Gem.

Stokes State Forest has four campgrounds. The Steam Mill Camping Area is tucked out the of the way and is the most primitive. It is the smallest of the campgrounds with 27 sites only suitable for tents or small trailers/campervans. The campground has a pit toilet and a well. Many sites are rocky.
This visit we hiked the Tillman Ravine trail (tip: make the trail a loop and visit both the ravine and the nearby old cemetery).
You can also drive or hike to Sunset Mountain Scenic Overlook for a view of High Point Monument. High Point Monument is the highest elevation in New Jersey and is located in High Point State Park which borders Stokes State Forest on the north. High Point State Park also offers camping, hiking, sightseeing opportunities.

stayed at cabin 12, remote location. This cabin area is in a great section of the park and was very quite in early spring. Easy access to the AT and High Point State park.

Just got back from a weekend at site 212 at Steam Mill Campground. This is comes with a platform and is a rocky site but pretty nice. Wood is hard to come by and will have to hike to find some locals selling. Bathrooms are ehh and well water is clean.
