STRONG WINDS The winds in the desert are very strong between February and June which may limit your enjoyment of the outdoor amenities. We do all we can to navigate around the winds but cannot control the impact it may have on your stay. POWER OUTAGES The power is cut off for 8-12 hours at least twice a year by the electrical company in order for maintenance to be done (for instance in preparation for the fire seasons). We inform our guests of outages as soon as we are made aware but cannot control the time or manner in which this may impact your stay. REFUNDS Should any inconveniences such as those listed above or anything else beyond our control affect your stay, we will not provide refunds. Please understand certain things simply come with the windy, rural, desert location. Thank for understanding! Weekend Trip to The Nook

Loved our weekend staycation here! Abby was so communicative and helpful leading up to the trip and get around the area (due to dirt roads, etc). The home was the perfect size for us (two humans and a pup) and was so cozy.

1 night at Granite Mountain

Our specific cabin was nicely secluded from the other cabins, and it was very quiet and tranquil there. The outdoor fire pit, the propane gas stove, and the outdoor toilet and shower were excellent additions to the camping experience. The cabin was a little smaller than we expected, but still manageable for two guests. It was nice to have electricity and a small personal space heater.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Retreat in Joshua Tree

The space itself is very nice and the view of the night sky is incredible. However, based on our experience driving in a sedan without 4WD, we only recommend coming here if you're driving 4WD. The dirt/unpaved roads definitely necessitate that and we wish we'd known the severity of the roads more than a few days in advance to prepare. Otherwise, the cabin is super clean and comfortable.

The camp site was set up great, everything i needed was on site. Easy to find even in the dark. Ken made the check-in and check-out process fool proof. The site felt secluded enough but was close to everything. Really great way to get away from everything. Super clean comfortable. Would definitely come back and check out the other sites or stay at this site again.

Great secluded spot. Clean, quiet, excellent sunset. Cell service/Wifi was slow/spotty. Fine for calls and streaming audio but not fast enough for video.

This place was fabulous. It’s exactly as described- the roads are a little rough and the property is quiet with the most beautiful views. It’s quiet without being desolate, and amenities are exactly as described. The bed is wonderful, though the sofa isn’t terribly supportive. It’s clean, well decorated, but uncluttered.

Weekend Trip to SB Mountain Cabin Rentals

I loved it here! Morgan was so accommodating. The cabin had everything needed (and more). I decided to stay another night while I was there because of how great the area is. I was able to go to Big Bear to hike and eat for an afternoon, and Lake Arrowhead the next day had I chosen to. Working a stressful job in LA and having this big cabin that has a great fireplace, wood, heaters (and AC) and the bed and comforter were a dream (I even have a sleepnumber at home and I was not dying to get back to it). This was the best solo trip with my furry creature and so needed! Will be back!

Weekend Trip to High Desert Protocol

Tao's land is so magical surrounded by the desert hill landscape. It is flowing with good energy. The homes are intentionally decorated with meaning behind every piece. Ive stayed in one of the trailers and in the main house. The pool is one of a kind. I'd be honored to return to this property.

6 nights at The Nook

The Nook was the perfect place to honeymoon for two people who wanted to have peace, nature, and privacy. We arrived during a storm and would not have made it to the property if we hadn’t had four wheel drive, no doubt. It’s just remote enough - we could still drive into town easily but were surrounded by woods and wildlife. It had everything we needed and more, and our stay was perfect.

Ken is a attentive host. The Black Cedar Haven cabin was cozy and peaceful, even in cooler weather. My pup enjoyed exploring campsite and trail to parking area.
