Camping at Elk Prairie offers an enchanting experience with its captivating waterfall and serene surroundings. Guests appreciate the helpfulness of the host, Clint, who goes the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. While the campsites are a short hike from the parking area, the sounds of the waterfall provide a soothing backdrop that enhances the overall tranquility. However, campers should be prepared for close proximity to neighboring sites, which can affect privacy.

Waterfall camping at its finest
Elk Prairie is a hidden gem, and we are lucky that Clint shares this with the public. We stayed at site one which is the closest to the waterfall, so we had an uninterrupted view. Falling asleep to the rushing water and babbling brook made the place even more magical. As others shared, pack light or prepare for multiple trips down and up the hill. Considering the outhouse was not fully enclosed, it was surprisingly clean and decent to use (even my wife managed and she hates porta potties!).

Waterfalls glory
AMAZING! secluded, refreshing and close to nature. Short hike down hill across the creek and youre in a canopy of beautiful trees and wonderful waterfall. Perfect for short or long trips. Will be returning this summer, Clint is a great host and great conversationalist would reccomend chatting if you get the chance. Otherwise youre left in peace with no disturbance to enjoy nature on his beautiful land.

SITE 1 Elderberry
This camp site is beautiful! We went camping in the early spring and would love to come back in the summer to swim. Be aware that the walk to the campsite is a bit of a way and mostly downhill. You may want to pack light. We brought a wagon that helped a lot with the load. Since we went during a storm, we were the only campers there. Privacy between the camp sites are just a few ferns, however the sites are a good size and the waterfall is loud enough that you probably won't hear your neighbors. All in all we had a great time and would love to come back.
