My group and I loved camping at Camp Whitman in the cabins. The cabin was spacious and came equipped with space heaters in every room. These became a necessity because of the unpredictably cold weather while we were there. The property is near plenty of wineries and breweries and offers the ability walk down to the lake for a picturesque view. I would gladly recommend this camping locations to friends looking to camp around Seneca Lake.

Walnut Bunkhouse
My husband and I shared the Walnut bunkhouse with our six grandchildren for the weekend. We had plenty of room and truly enjoyed our stay. The property is serene and super enjoyable located out or the way but close enough to shopping, wineries and hiking, to name just a few things. The space provided us the opportunity to each have our own bed, a covered porch for relaxing and a fire pit/wood to commune around. The notice was super reasonable and it was easy to find.

Awesome camp grounds and accomodations! Cabins have all the fixings and are super clean. If you had to get rained in on a camping trip this would be the best case spot for the scenario--there's even a larger screened in porch with a large table and couch, so you can still lounge "outside", even if you don't happen to have a canopy. This is also a great place to eat without flies bothering you and without having to go inside, or just to escape the mosquitoes. Although in our three visits here we've not had too much of an issue with those, even in this year which has generally been a very bad year for mosquitoes. The staff are super helpful and responsive and very friendly and easy going. The lake shore is about a 5 or 10 minute walk and there's also a small pond just off the main road coming in. All in all this is our favorite camp spot in the area we've found so far.

Wow, what a fun weekend!!
It all started with our host Lea, with a warm greeting as we arrived. Lea also stopped by our site to check on us and to keep us informed with the kids activities and times for our daughter.
The cabin was Awesome, newly renovated and clean.
We will return, the area was beautiful as well!!

Our stay at Camp Whitman exceeded our expectations. Lea and the other camp staff were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Although we didn’t use them, the access to remt the camps kayaks, paddle boards, etc was an awesome bonus.
The are had a substantial amount of interesting things to do with a reasonable drive including Wine Tours, Watkins Glen State Park, and for biking Keuka Outlet, Geneva Waterfront, Canal Trail, Black Diamond Trail and more

Thank you so much! We had an amazing time and loved the camp!!!! Very big area and not a lot of families when we were there. We loved taking our small boat on the lake, doing our fire in front of the cabin, we wished we had more time. Thank you so much for everything. We would love to come back one day. The kids loved it!

We were looking for a little getaway where we could socially distance and we had an amazing time!
The cabin is well-kept and clean. The staff is so friendly, kind, and accommodating. I was immediately put at ease by their COVID-19 precautions. Check-in was done outdoors and we were screened before entering the cabin. I felt like the other guests were very respecting of others' space and wore masks when in doubt of being able to social distance.
We always had wood stocked for our cooking fires. They even provide ice at a very low cost in case you're like us and pack a ridiculous amount of food in a cooler. It was so nice not to have to drive to a gas station!
The amenities are incredible, too! I honestly felt like I was staying at a little rustic hotel in the woods. I was able to do a little work in the mornings over Wi-Fi and the air conditioner / heater combo was a nice little treat to have at night so we could sleep comfortably.
Recommendation - if you happen to have a clear night, go to the open field between the Lodge and the lake and star gaze!
My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Our trip really flew by!

My family and I had an amazing weekend at Camp Whitman. Amazing view of Seneca lake. The cabins are well kept and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. My family really enjoyed fishing at the pond, swimming in the pool, and playing camp games/activities. It was a nice weekend getaway to enjoy nature and the outdoors at an affordable price. We will definitely come back again!!!

We had a great experience. We stayed at the Howk cottage and we were pleasantly surprised. The host Lea and other employees were all very nice. The best part was the swimming pool!

Our stay in the Osprey cabin at Camp Whitman was amazing! The property is absolutely beautiful. We spent the weekend hiking, fishing in the lake and pond, playing tether ball, and kayaking. We will be back!

Lea was a great host and was easy to communicate with. Camp Whitman itself is a very relaxing place, with (among other things) lakefront water access and world class skipping rocks, a big open field that is great for star gazing, and a small boggy pond where we found the tiniest frog of all time. The cabin was super clean and had all the amenities we needed, including air conditioning and a screened in porch for when we wanted to hang out in the evenings and not get eaten by mosquitos. The dinner kits they sell to cook at your cabin were very convenient. Lots of wineries just a short drive away, just be mindful that most of them close at 5PM.
