Private driveway in the woods leads up a hill to three fabulous, secluded, country-setting camping locations with incredible views. Hay fields in front of you with woods behind you, you'll have peace and quiet in total seclusion but are only 5 minutes from downtown historic Greenwich village with diners and shops and a CVS. (The “Stewarts” gas station and market has firewood bundles!) Camping locations have no amenities but are cleared with mowed grass and have fire-pits. Pitch tent or bring RV, you'll enjoy yourself and the wildlife around you. Site 1 and 2 are adjacent to woods, site 3 is a wide-open-field site (great RV site) with the best panoramic and sunset view. There is camp wood for fires in various spots on the property (40 acres) that campers are welcome to but you might want to bring some of your own as well. Also, the coded entrance gate will be open for your reservation date so no additional call is required. UPDATE...driveway regraded for easier access for all vehicles now. Nice grassy camp site for tenting or smaller RV with fire pit, super views, very remote and quiet. Note: Rustic cabin available on this site with ADDITION BOOKING REQUIRED AND FEE FOR CABIN...see "Archdale Cabins" on Hipcamp site to book cabin ($75/nite) Also, cabin rents in conjunction with site 2 only if desired, cabin will not rent separately by another party on same night as tenting site 2. See cabin description below. Rustic 30x12 cabin added to site 2 on edge of woods looking North towards mountains of Vermont, this "cabin on the hill" sleeps 2 with 2 twin log beds. NO BATHROOM, NO WATER, NO HEAT yet, but plenty of room to spread out with LOTS of natural light and 6 picture windows! Covered porch has chairs with great views makes this a nice upgrade from a tent! Comfy, clean mattress sets provided but you must bring your own linens, blankets and pillows! No bedding provided. Basic tables and several easy chairs provided but the cabin is bare bones basics, only a basic shell inside with upgraded interior coming soon! Gorgeous fall foliage views, super quiet and peaceful. We had a great fire, brought our dinner, and watched a plane take off right next to us in the meadow. Highly recommend this spot🍂✈️
