Our ancestor Ebenezer Cole, settled in our little corner of Lebanon, NH., in 1847. Eight generations of our family have lived, and farmed here since. Although once almost totally cleared for crops and grazing, most of our land is now devoted to forestry, but some land remains open and devoted to forage crops. We also have a modern hillside maple orchard. Although we no longer actively farm full time, the stewardship of our farm is of upmost importance to our family. We encourage people to visit our property and enjoy it fully. We host a Boy Scout Troop campsite on another part of our property. We are located in the heart of the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region with countless cultural, and recreational opportunities just minutes away. We hope you will come for a visit and learn to love our farm and community as much as we do. Learn more about this land: Shaded Brookside Glen is a private, stream side, level, pull through site for a small RV, trailer, or tent. This is the private campsite we developed on our farm several years ago for when my wife and I need a little getaway, but don't have the time to travel. Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. Great site! Host gave clear explanation of how to get there, a very accessible site outside of Lebanon, NH. Very tidy, well maintained outhouse. Tree cover around the site made it very easy to set up tarp lines for rain coverage.

Our first hipcamping experience!

8 ft travel trailer

We loved staying here. Forrest has everything set up so perfectly. We enjoyed the sound of the trickling brook and the traffic noise from the nearby road slowed down in the evening. We actually slept 12 hours the second night being fall the sun went down early and came up late. (We never ever have slept that long!) The composting outhouse was an amazing set up and the air was crisp and the cedar shavings keep the smell away. There is hardwood fire wood for sale and we bought one, but there were many brush piles and blow down that we were able to grab from for the second night and following morning. The campsite is very private, but it is close to civilization. We would love to visit again.

Close to Lebanon and the Northern Line Rail Trail we biked to the campsite. We had a lovely moonlight night camping with sounds of the babbling brook and owls.

Had a wonderful second hipcamp experience at Elm Tree Farm! Grassy drive through some wildflowers, we were nestled in the trees for a 2 night stay with our two pups. Fire pit was awesome, cash based honor jar. Spent time by the babbling brook, wandered up the scenic road and got some local honey. The outhouse was great, well stocked and very clean. The stars on a clear night were breathtaking, second night it rained but it was nice to fall asleep to and things didn’t get too wet because of the canopy. Heard some cars from a nearby road but it died down overnight. No service at the campsite but just walk to the road and we got some. Highly recommend to unplug/unwind.

Very cute little site. You can hear the rd but ur not far off the beaten path is all. Recommend following their instructions to keep ur pup leashed at all times we used a long lead so he could run around a Lil but not stray away from us. There are Definitely deer roaming around owls and a rd once you leave their little camp site and it's beneficial to know where your puo is at all times good recall or not. Their fire pit is great and we Recommend using the wood they provide for cooking it's 10 bucks a sack and for a family of four, we spent 70 bucks which isn't bad for a 4 day stay. Their trash can provided is on the smaller side but worked most of yhe stay. The out house is wonderful especially if you have kids. My family had a great time we def Recommend this spot.

This was such a nice and private place. It was relaxing listening to the brook. We didn’t have Verizon or T-Mobile cell service at the site, but when we went into town it was never a problem. There was more road noise than I expected, considering how remote it feels like when you are there, but that ended in the evening anyway. I would definitely recommend Forrest’s site. Thank you for sharing this location with us.

Wonderful private setting on a beautiful creek. It was very peaceful and secluded. ATT and Verizon cell service is spotty but that’s the fabulous benefit of this site-the perfect place to decompress, relax by the creek, darling cauldron fire pit, birds singing and a few deer popping out along the path. On clear nights the stars are vibrant. This site is one of our top 3 places that we have camped in the past 25 years.

We had the best time here! Forrest was a wonderful and kind host, and the property was perfect - private, quiet, and very, very relaxing. While there are things to do around Lebanon, we never felt the need to leave the site and spent much of the day enjoying the calm and exploring the brook that flows through the property. If we didn't need to gas up the car before the ride home, we would never have left the site at all! Loved that there was firewood for sale right there and the outhouse was extremely clean and well maintained. The site is also easy in and easy out - perfect for my first time hauling a travel trailer. We can't wait to visit again!

Forest’s camp site was amazing and very secluded. Lots of nature to observe such as birds, butterflies, fireflies by the thousands and lots of small fish in the brook which runs along side the site. The area is perfectly level with room for tents and pop ups and there was a very nice picnic table and fire pit as well as a very clean outhouse. Not the usual outhouse either. It was a composting toilet with cedar wood chips which smelled very nice and bathroom supplies available. At night we lit a fire in the pit which was super easy with the dry kindling from the ground and bags of wood that burned for quite a while, in a nice wood bin for 10 dollars each which is very reasonable these days. There is also lots of wood on the ground in the woods surrounding the site. Forest came to visit once and was available for whatever I needed by text. He was such a nice man with great fire building advice and tons of stories about the heritage of his land and areas around it. I can’t say enough good about this place and highly recommend it for a family get away that kids will love and adults will enjoy! Thanks for making it available Forest.

Watching fire flys dance

We watched fireflies all over the campsite but walking up and watching the fireflies in the field was the most amazing site. Falling asleep next to the stream is definitely something everyone needs to do to detox in nature. Bonus for having the cleanest non-smeliest Outhouse I've ever been into. Will totally be back.

Fantastic location

The site had very easy access for our travel trailer. It was very clean. The privy was clean and airy. The site was very private, but is incredibly convinent to eveything in the valley. Just minutes to Lebanon and Hanover, and also great hikes. Loved the sound of the brook at night.
