This campsite was perfect. The bluff views and access to the beach were great. It rained some so the covered picnic area was helpful. We set up our tent on the platform halfway down the bluff and it was serene and private.

Wonderful spot on the bluff overlooking the water. Yes there are homes directly across from it but the road is private and it was so quiet! The views are so beautiful even on a rainy drizzly day. Loved the deck and covered area, fire pit and chairs - so relaxing. A small
Public beach is within walking distance (and only a small handful of people present). This is a lovely Hipcamp spot.

Breathtaking Views!

This is our favorite Hipcamp! Perfect place to spend the weekend. The views are beautiful. Great walks. Our setup/ teardown is fast and simple because of the covered deck, comfy chairs, and firepit provided by Kinsey. The nearby town of Edison is a must see. Great place eat and buy locally-made pottery. Three trips and counting to this special slice of PNW heaven.

Beautiful views from the site and the separate and more private deck down the stairs is a cool option for sitting and relaxing as well! There are houses directly behind you but you'll be looking at the views the whole time anyway so it doesn't matter. Our camper van fit perfectly, backed in. Be sure to get whatever supplies you need before you drive onto the island as there's no store there.

Sunset/Sunrise & Amazing Water View

Samish Island Bluff was the perfect location for our 20 ft. van. We chose beautiful, if cool, weather and headed 90 min north from home. Kinsey has created a beautiful bluff site with layers of deck, a picnic table, two sets of chairs, and a fire pit. The north tip of Samish Island is also an inviting place to walk. We love the Skagit Delta and welcomed the chance to stay overnight. As some have noted, Kinsey's property is a work in progress. It didn't distract from our visit. Already planning to return!

I loved van camping on this property and it looks like there's enough room to pitch a tent as well. We were fortunate that it was very quiet with several spots to take in the incredible sound view and read a book or sketch! There's a public park steps away with a trail to rocky beach with lots to explore at low tide. Bow Edison is just a 15 minute drive to delicious restaurants, pubs and shops.

Perfect spot for a base camp while birding. The view is stunning and you love the deck and gazebo. Took the dog down to the beach. The camp site is in a quiet neighborhood, but I was fine with that. Looks like the one property people are mentioning is being renovated or fixed up. Great location.

Great spot with a beautiful view. It is essentially on a shared driveway in front of homes, so there isn't a ton of privacy (if your rig has a lot of windows), but you are on the bluff overlooking the beautiful ocean. And the island is so cute. Make sure you stop in Edison on the way to get a loaf of bread! Seriously the cutest town. Highly recommend!

This spot is easy to get to, and has a nice view if you’re facing out to the water. Behind is a not so picturesque property that is very close which detracts from the overall experience. The host is very nice and responsive however.

We loved camping at the Samish Island Bluff site. Beautiful views, fairly private, & a great layout. Added bonus with the park so close. The surrounding neighborhood was really nice for long walks with views. We will be coming back.
FYI: We have a Truck with a slide in camper, total length of 24 feet. We needed to slightly angle the truck on the site to allow for our steps out the back. No issues, but something to consider if you are pushing the 24 feet.

We had the most wonderful time. Plenty of room to park our 23 foot rig. The views were outstanding! We had planned on spending some time adventuring but loved the spot so much that we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave the island. We spent 3 blissful days reading, chatting, watching the wildlife, and listening to the ocean waves. The hosts were lovely. We’ll definitely be back!

little gem of a tent platform was down below. Lovely - we will return! (The CLEAN porta potty at the park just a short walk frm the site is there if you don’t want to use your own off grid buckets and such!)

What an amazing little spot with expansive views! The covered deck is a plus, making it the perfect site for rainy overnights. Excellent walks. Great eating in the nearby little town of Edison. We have already booked another weekend.

First time ever using Hipcamp and this campsite did not disappoint 😍 me, and my partner took our kayaks on the water and enjoyed our view all around everything was amazing. Can’t wait to book here again in the near future 10/10

We had a great stay on Samish Island! Very beautiful spot! As other reviews mention, there is a honeybucket just steps away, near the beach access. We brought a lugable loo just in case, but didn’t need to use it.
Pros: view, view (yes twice), deck, covering for rain, location.
Only con would be the setting. There is an old trailer home/modular home right behind you, plus two occupied homes. So privacy is limited, but not really any different from a major campsite. The actual setting of the site and location are beautiful enough to over come this. We would stay again, and hope to in the future.

Wonderful and unique location on a bluff over Puget Sound. The site is well thought out and easy to access. Kinsey was easy to communicate with and was very clear about instructions. Only downsides are the lack of a bathroom (there’s a public porta potty at the park next door) and it sits right above a public beach so there was some noise from dogs barking, people yelling and playing in the water. Not bad at all but definitely noticeable on a busy summer weekend. Would definitely return, especially in the fall when I expect it may be a bit quieter. Great Hipcamp!

The views are spectacular if that's what you're there fir. Stunning, however you have zero privacy. you are right on the main rd. Bring a privacy tent for your portable bucket. We flew from Massachusetts and had nothing like that. We ended up not staying the night. there us a portable potty down the rd where you access the beach.

Incredible location on the bluff! The short walk to the public beach access was wonderful and the people we met in town during the Arts festival were so friendly. The hosts communicated well and were accommodating. The site was exactly as described - peaceful and quiet

Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Bring a disposable toilet or make one so you can pack everything out neatly. Bring plenty of water and wet wipes, especially if you’ll be doing any sweaty activities. Bring a kind and courteous disposition as the islanders deserve that. They are very friendly people. WD store in Allen is the nearest place for supplies and they have a fair selection. This is such a sweet spot and perfectly laid out for camping. The wooden structures (deck, table, chairs, pergola, gazebo) are excellent and make it easy to stay relatively clean. Kind hosts.

Kinsey’s campsite provides one of the most beautiful views we have ever camped at. There are a few properties overlooking the campsite but this lack of privacy was definitely outweighed by the beauty. There is a public beach access close by which was busy at times. A cycle ride into the cute small town of Edison was a definite treat, I would highly recommend this campsite, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely spot! We were very content with this place. Peaceful, great view, access to the water, many birds, including eagles, heron, and smaller song birds. We rested, walked, biked, and met all of the neighbors, who were so friendly!

We drove onto the island just as the sun was setting, parked in the great spot that was easy to get in and out of and made our way down to the water-steps from the site. This view cannot be beat-and the beach is full of rocks and tide pools to explore. The set up is perfect with a big table and chairs to hang out on. You’ll want to stay forever-it’s just so beautiful and quiet.

We absolutely loved camping at this beautiful bluff! Epic views throughout the day with the most magical sunset and sunrise. Very clean and well maintained spot in a quiet neighborhood with a public beach to explore just steps away. It was great having a portapotty just down the path. 10/10 would recommend!
