I had a great time camping here, the property is very beautiful and the fishing is really good too. My brother caught a 3.5 lb bass that literally broke his reel of the rod in the main lake and my buddy caught a 3 lb bass in the pond. We also caught plenty of smaller bass and pickerel every day.
Charles was a great host too, he was helpful anytime we needed and was very friendly.

Awesome piece of property that our group really enjoyed! We loved how private it was. The kayaks were great and put to use. Definitely recommend bringing a fishing rod to fish. Charles was nice to let us check out late since we had checked into the site so late the day prior with no additional charge.

Beautiful views and quiet location. Great fishing and fun on the lake with provided Kayaks. Charles was an excellent host and we will be back again as this is the other sites looked just as great to camp at.

Charles’s property is perfect if you’re looking for a private spot to disconnect. We stayed at Dam Cove and while I wasn’t able to really see the other sites in their entirety, I’d still choose to stay at that specific site again! Equipped with a picnic table, fire ring and multiple places to set up a tent, it was spacious and serene. You could hear other campers across the lake, but we still felt like we had good privacy and MUCH more so than any campground.
We were right on the lake, which we fished out of - caught about 9 fish, specifically Northern Pike and bass with lures. Multiple spots other than just your site to fish from. Kayaks were available and we used them, which was a fun way to explore around the lake.
Dam Cove had easy access to a portajohn (like a 30 second walk) and was very clean with TP and a light inside.
Charles was easy to communicate with, responsive, met us at the address and lead us out to our spot to ensure we were settled in and that all was good. Firewood for sale but we had so many branches and sticks around that it wasn’t necessary (since we had a hand saw).
I really can’t say enough good things about this place! The people we passed were all friendly, the property is well kept, Charles was a peach and the views were incredible. Would recommend!

Field Lake View was a good flat spot with a great view looking down upon the lake. Host was very helpful and responsive. Beautiful property with great fishing a trails to walk!

Great spot with great views at one of the lakefront sites. Can see other campers but far enough away to still seem fairly private. Easy to find and host was helpful and friendly. Only issue was the road coming out the site would not be accessible for lower set vehicles. E

Loved this campsite, such a pretty view of the lake and great tree cover making the site nice and shady. Really easy to communicate with the owner Charles, even though I was a same day reservation. I'll definitely be back! Kind of rocky entrance to get to the site, just be mindful if you're in a sedan without much clearance.

Beautiful stay in nature, lots of birds chirping and you can hear the frogs at night. Lots of open space. Lots of activities between walking the area, fishing, and kayaking. Very private, you can see the other camp sites across the lake (but very far). Charles is super friendly and pointed everything out to us and even offered to let us switch sites if we wanted.
We encountered a lot of ticks. So be prepared with tweezers and spray. Only con of the trip.

This was an awesome place to camp and get some time on the kayaks. We were just an hour from the home which made it even better for a quick weekend away.
Charles was a great host. He was very responsive to questions and communications. He is actively working to make the place even better in the future.

We were greeted promptly and taken to our site. He brought the firewood to us. The site was huge so we had plenty of room to spread out and let our dog run free. The kayaks were a definite plus!

We had an awesome time! Even though we could see other campers, it felt very private. Having the kayaks on site for campers to use was a huge plus. We would definitely go back! Highly recommended!

We loved our family camping trip on Charles' lake - We had a spacious, private campsite right on the water. Charles was very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
In addition to the lake, there are two other smaller ponds on property. One is "hidden" and our young ones had fun adventure walk all the trails to find it.
Everyone on our trip were able to catch fish (Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Blue Gill). We were able to catch fish from anywhere on the pond!
Additionally, Charles provides a few kayaks that our kids enjoyed. We brought our own canoe to get around lake as well.
Our campsite had a picnic table and large fire ring - And there was a lot of deadfall in the area we cut up for firewood.
Overall, we had a great time on this beautiful property and will be going back!

We had site #2 . Beautiful property. The host was very nice and accommodating. The sites are all close to the water. You can still see the other campers and hear them but they were all a good distance from one another( its a hike to get to each site) Our site had the most shade which would be great for warmer weather, he was planning to put another site close to ours which would be very close so if you had a friend or family member you wanted to camp with you could have separate sites but be close enough to walk from one to the other. There are trails you can walk throughout the property. The fishing was good also. You can fish off the bank or use a boat or kayak. There is a little country store no more than 5 min from the property also. Very quiet and relaxing spot. Lots of wildlife.

If you love to fish, this is place for you. We ended up catching a bunch including bass, pike, and bream. The owner was very helpful with everything. We will be back for sure!!

This place blew our expectations out of the water! We already thought we’d scored a steal, but reality was even better. The property is super secluded and private—no neighbors in sight and barely any light pollution. The stargazing was unreal; we spent hours staring at that bright, clear sky. The pond was serene and beautiful, perfect for kayaking and fishing. Our group caught bass, crappie, and what we think were pickerel.
The host was awesome—super communicative, friendly, and even gave us a tour when we arrived. They’re clearly still setting things up (the fire pit was a portable one, which worked great since they’re figuring out permanent spots), but we loved the effort. The picnic table they brought out was a MVP for meals and hanging out. Heads up: the restroom’s a little sketchy (most of us just used the provided box toilet), but hey, we weren’t expecting luxury. Showers weren’t available, but we didn’t miss ’em.
A few pro tips: Be very prepared for weather swings. One day was crazy windy, and our buddy’s awning saved the trip. The property’s fenced, so you won’t wander off accidentally, but there’s plenty to enjoy on-site. Two of us had high-clearance vehicles, but a Subaru Crosstrek rolled in/out no problem.
Perfect for groups—we had a blast, and the space never felt cramped. For the price? Absolute no-brainer. Zero complaints, just gratitude. If you want a peaceful, back-to-nature weekend with good vibes, book this spot!

We found this site and spontaneously booked it. It was better than we could have ever imagined. The owner was extremely nice and so happy to have people enjoying his property. The pond was full of fish, we caught a bunch of bass, some crappie, and some blue gill. We were the first people to book this camp, so the owner is not 100% finished with renovating it. but it’s current state it is better than anything else my group has been to so far. Overall it is a 100/10 must book. Cannot wait to return to this amazing property. I do recommend you have a high-ish clearance 4x4 vehicle. One of my buddies had a Subaru crosstrek and that made it just fine.

We were surprised with this property. One huge pond/lake and 2 small ponds. We took a couple of the kayaks out in the evening. There is a long trail to walk that goes around tge lake to a smaller pond. The bathroom was not the Porta John we expected but a bathroom in the barn that we were very happy with. Will be back when the fish start to bite!
