Added Firewood which was unavailable had to collect our own. Then we used two 16lb charcoal bags so we could cook. Afterwards enjoy the ambience of the fire with leftover collected wood.
Also there was American Alligator in pond about 5’
Which was cool to watch. Thankfully we didn’t bring our small dogs.

We had a fantastic family weekend at the Navasota River Ranch. It was so peaceful, no other campers anywhere in sight. We got to fish, foraged some berries, and picked wild flowers. At night we had a raccoon visiting our camp, but he only stole some bait from the boat. :) I would definitely be booking another trip there in the near future. The host William was very friendly. The weather was perfect and so was the atmosphere. Recommend 10 out of 10 :)

William was incredibly kind and communicative, always making sure we had everything we needed. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. You can tell a lot of care goes into the place. Highly recommend — I’d definitely go back.

Enjoyed camping at the Navasota River Ranch. William meet us when we arrived and got us in the perfect spot for camping,. My daughter and I had a great time hiking the property. We will definitely come back! Thank you again for everything.

This place is so amazing! We had such an amazingly wonderful time at Williams property and our family will definitely be coming back to regularly visit this camp site!! William is so kind and accommodating! He even drove us around to show us the different site options and allowed us to chose the site that worked best for our family! My husband and I had not been camping in over 3 years. we went with another couple and made our weekend home right up on the cliff overlooking the Navasota River. It was breathtaking, we had such a wonderful time. We wanted the weekend the relax, do some fishing, have a small fire, stay up really late and just be out away from our everyday life. The fishing was really good, everyone in our party was able to catch a fish if not multiple. The owners of the place were extremely friendly and even gave us a guided tour of the land to meet the needs we were looking for. We will be back to this location again,

The views at Hilltop Prairie were gorgeous! We loved getting to explore the property with our kids and dog. William was a friendly and welcoming host, giving us maps and explaining the layout of the property and stayed in touch through the app. The property is far enough from town to feel secluded, but close enough that a run to the store for forgotten supplies was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend this place!

This place is a must if you’re close to Houston/Austin and enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of fishing opportunities and lots of trails to walk with the kids. We did my sons birthday there and it couldn’t have turned out any better

We absolutely loved camping at the Navasota River Ranch. William is one of the nicest people we have ever met. When checking in he talks to about what experience you’re looking for and recommends a camp site. He put us at a place where we’d see the stars. It was absolutely gorgeous. Picturesque. This was a first time camping and he give us good tips and helped us find a lot of firewood for our campfire. We felt completely isolated with great privacy. It felt like it was just us and the nature. The property is insanely big and there’s so much to explore. You’re definitely spaced out from other campers. Our dogs had a blast roaming around. Will be booking again soon!

This site is relaxing and remote. My son and I had a great time. We fish, saw some amazing stars, and felt like we had the 600 acres to ourselves. The host, William was great and accommodating. I'm going to be using this a my personal creation day just to do some creative work and hang out by myself and get lost in nature. It's close by 1 hour from Katy TX so it was a fast drive.

An amazing experience. Williams land is breathtaking and remote. There is so much nature and the forest come alive at night. William was very accommodating, kind and explained to us everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay to the fullest at the camp. Great property!! Each camp site has its own character and theme to it, there is always something new to discover! My son and I enjoyed exploring, fishing, kayaking and riding the trails. The host William is very accommodating and there is tons of space and privacy between campsites. We can’t wait to come back in the spring!

We love camping just nature around us. We took our three small grandchildren and had fun. This is a place for off grid star gazing and listening to the coyotes. Perfect for us. Lots of trails to hike around and ponds to fish in. I would suggest to go when rain isn’t expected because the roads can get slick. Close enough to Navasota Burger King for rainy day play.

Awesome camping sites. William is a respectable and professional host. Made sure we had the spot we wanted and we had some great fishing and good times. We will definitely be back for more stays.
These campsites are on privately owned land. Communicate honestly and respectfully and you will have no issues.
We had a great time and look forward to more stays in the future! Thanks again for making your land available for us to enjoy, the beaver moon was incredible to see.

We loved it! William set us up with a great spot and gave us a map to explore his place. Sites are spread out far apart and trails are all over from prairie to forest land. We will be back

Unfortunately, we did not end up staying at this campsite. There was a huge misunderstanding with the host that could’ve been prevented but was not. Check in is listed at a certain time and the host never stated to tell him the time we would arrive. Upon arriving to the campsite, the host said he would be there in an hour. An hour of waiting later, the host called back and said, I’m heading back now and it’ll be another hour. Again, we patiently waited. Now two hours later, we get a call back saying that it’s going to be another 30 mins until he arrives to the campsite. The time kept getting extended more and more and we started to lose our patience. After the last phone call, I waited for 10 mins and decided…this has been very unprofessional and I didn’t feel like staying at his campsite anymore. We were worried about rain and not having enough time to set up our campsite so we decided to leave. We asked for a refund and he was pretty rude about it saying that he dropped everything that he was doing to drive an hour back to accommodate us. His campsite is host meetup specific. You cannot just drive to your campsite. He did refund us the second night but did not for the first night. Going forward, I still wouldn’t go back to this campsite.

Camping on this land was amazing and a perfect place for our first time! Thankfully there was a restroom with a shower for the lady’s. Remember to bring shower slippers or something to use in there.
William was a great host and made us feel comfortable right away. We will definitely be staying again !

What a wonderful place, beautiful river and trees and William is an excellent host. I found one of the biggest pecan trees I’ve ever seen in the woods, and the grass lands are awesome. In the mornings you can watch raptors gathering their morning meals. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back whenever we are in the area.

Loved our family camping trip at Navasota River Ranch. The spot was secluded and peaceful. Nice to have a place hidden away from everything and everyone. The river and glade were beautiful, the fishing was great and William was very helpful.

Great spot, we had a private lake all to ourselves. And surrounded by fields of wild flowers. Sites are very spead out so you don't have to worrie about seeing other people. I will be back for sure
