I really loved the feel of everything. However, when I got to the tent I saw a lot of things I didn't see within the pictures. A lot of the things were changed out. It was beautiful, but it also just wasn't what we expected. The bed was comfortable, it came with blankets, had two lamps on each bed. There is an ac & heater to use, but the ac came in through the zipper windows. We had to stuff a bag into the hole so no bugs would get in. The rack to hang clothes n such on was short, so you couldn't even hang anything. Also, I wasn't expecting the furnace to be removed. I should've looked into it more, but I really was excited for that part of the tent.
The toilets are eco friendly, so you can't flush the toilet with toilet paper and dispose into a toilet (bring a water bottle to flush!). There were also a lot of holes in the bathroom/shower area. This made it extremely cold trying to shower, + if someone came over to go to the bathroom, while you were showering they could see you, if they wanted to. This place is nice, but there's some kinks that need a little fix. Overall, decent experience. <3

We absolutely loved staying in the Lotus Tent, great option for far more affordable accommodation yet still very close to Austin city. The tent itself is well set up and comfortable, and the showers are great. Very peaceful especially with the Lotus tent tucked away at the back of the property. Highly recommend for anyone looking for cheap and peaceful accommodation within a short drive of Austin.

Love everything about this place. We got a fire pit, a grill, and a picnic table right behind the tent, and the way they place it makes it feel exclusive. The communal bathhouse is 50ft away, which was nice. Jeff, the groundskeeper, was very responsive and helpful! We appreciate him a lot! There are still rooms for improvement but since they’re working on renovating the whole camp, we would definitely come back to check it out again.

It was so sweet and cozy. It happened to be a day where the weather was beautiful and happened to be cold in the evening so we got to use the little oven. If you’ve never camped in a location like this one this place is an amazing place to start, not to mention the grounds keeper Jeff and his little helper pepper, both of them made this place so welcoming and were very accommodating, I cannot recommend this place enough!:)

Great stay! The space heater worked well for the cooler nights. Only gripe was the hot water in the showers ran out pretty quickly and then the water was icy cold.

This stay was just perfect! I was so impressed by the space, the shower, and the care put into everything by the groundskeeper Jeffery! He was so helpful and communicative. It’s clear that they’re thinking of everything to make this experience worth it. Great stay, my new go-to every time I am in Austin. Thanks!

I arrived in the dark and left in the dark , so I was not able to have the full glamping experience as one would who arrived during sunlight hours.
The cabin was clean and the bed is comfortable. I was prepared for the colder weather. I brought a sleeping bag. The check-in was easy. Be sure to write the door code down if you arrive at night. It might be a good idea to bring a flashlight for walking to the bathroom in the darker areas.

This place was pretty nice, it was very clean on the inside. It was a bit of a maze to get to, which added to the experience, the drive was dark and mysterious but entirely safe.
Upon arriving, the cabin we reserved was warm & inviting, it had AC, Heat, but no extra frills.
There is a communal bathhouse which was a short walk away, very much camping vibes, also clean. A nostalgic throwback to the days in band camp.
The host was alright with communication, though there was a few things that urked me.
The passcode to the cabin we stayed in was “1234” which to be honest was a bit disconcerting, as that would be any invaders first guess. The listing said no WiFi, but I was later informed (after we had already fallen asleep) that there was indeed WiFi, which is not that big of a deal and likely an oversight made as far as updating the listing.
That being said, it felt very safe, & there was a deadbolt on the inside that took away the worry of someone breaking in. The bed was decent, the pullout was a pullout.
Overall, it’s a place that I’d say is worth staying in for one or two nights, but I don’t think I’d stay longer than that.
It’s on a beautiful piece of land, any review that says it’s missing stuff is clearly not understanding that it’s a camping vibe, & that’s entirely the vibe I was going for.
Overall, I don’t think I would stay here again, but not because it was bad, I just think it’s a very cool secluded spot to bed down for a night after a long day. Love!

Place was cute. Too many dogs barking on the distance. Really close to a road and the power went off at night which made us freeze. Fine overall. Place is really cute tho.

First time using Hipcamp - was pretty excited about camping close to the F1 races with my son. Brought the electric bikes to make the short distance to COTA. Unfortunately it was not to be- the owner apparently uses multiple platforms to book his place and the calendars did not align- they over booked and we lost. He sent a message the day before but we didn't notice until we arrived and could not get in. Andrew offered us to camp in our car or in a tent if we had one- on their property- but really? I booked a cabin with a bed. We ended up paying to stay at a hotel 40 minutes away, and then since we had to drive now instead of bike, another $120 in parking not to mention the 4 hours or more in traffic every day to get to the track. Andrew refunded immediately but the theres a fee that Hipcamp charges that if your refunded you wont get back. This thing is a good idea and we were super excited- but in the end I got to spend an additional $350 in hotel and parking snd some awesome Austin driving time every morning and evening. I suggest you move past the “this is cool, lets do this!” And go ahead and make really plans that aren't just dismissed with “Sorry this happened- these things happen, the calendars don't sync up- I know youre already here…..would you like to sleep in your car or go buy a tent?” Thanks but no thanks. Research a solid back up plan if you do though.

I highly recommend this campsite! Especially for any events at COTA. Just worked the F1 race this past weekend and not only was this spot close to the track, but it missed most of the event traffic when getting to the venue. On top of everything, the spot is absolutely adorable and the property manager, Jeffrey, was so sweet and attentive! Bonus points, Jeffrey has the most adorable dog that is often spotted around the property. We will definitely be back! 🥰

The A Frame Cabin was the perfect little outdoor getaway for us! It had strong and good A/C in the unit, and the designated outdoor area was perfect. There was issues with the water system, but the groundskeeper, Jeffrey, was quick to act and give us updates. You are in the outdoors, so definitely don't recommend bringing food into the cabin as ants will find their way in. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back! Pepper was an adorable pup to have on the land as well. The stars are incredible at night as well ✨️

Upon arriving I did have mixed feeling about this place. I believed it might have more space without a lot bushes, but it made me remember how it was to live at the ranch. I quickly humbled myself and began enjoying my stay, Jeff the ground keeper was very accommodating and quick to respond to any question, concern, or problem we came to have. Andrew and Jeff also were able to find room for us as Hip camp accidentally double booked one of their cabins. The 5 days we were there, it was the most quiet and calming experience I have ever experienced, shower was refreshing; cold but very refreshing (makes you not take for granted what you have at home). Thank you Andrew and Jeff for hosting us and reminding me of back home, it was quite the experience and do highly recommend it

Check in was 3:00pm, by 5:30pm there was still no working electricity. Property was not well maintained as the pictures showed. Tall grass. Random boots and belongings on sitting chairs where we reserved. Overall, poorly presented and misleading. Not communicated before we arrived

Andrew is a great host and we enjoyed our stay at the sunset cabin. Nice property close to Austin, but far enough out of town that you do not feel the craziness of the city.

Place was in a very nice secluded spot with lots of potential, but felt unfinished upon arriving. A few areas still need work to make it a more enjoyable stay. Also the lack of potable water accessibility and no access to a fridge was inconvenient. Cabin room was very nice and unique.

We arrived at Lotus after dark during the rain, and it was lit up and very welcoming with wood for the fire set up in the fire ring. The shower was amazing, and the heater was a dream. So comfy and cozy.

It was clean and peaceful, Google tried to take me to a property next to his so I had a hard time finding it in the dark. Probably would have found it in the daylight. Other than that I had a delightful time

We loved staying in the Safari tent! The bed was extremely comfortable (so comfortable that my friend is going to buy the same mattress) and everything was very clean. Even though it was a little chilly (52°F at night) we were nice and cozy under the comforter. The bathrooms and shower are not a far walk and also were very clean. Aesthetically everything was so cute and the perfect balance between functional and fun. We only had two issues on our trip. The first was that the guidebook said there was a fridge we could access to keep food in if needed. The fridge was accessible, but not plugged in and running. The second issue was that we can’t stay there forever. Thank you for a wonderful nature getaway experience just outside of Austin!
