Carter Lake! • Relax at our spacious sites with peaceful country views. • Visit nearby sights, we are six miles from Downtown Bowie, known for their Second Monday Trade Days. • Play a round of golf at Twisted Oaks Golf Course less than two miles down the road. • Launch your boat down the street at the Amon Carter public boat ramp. • Bask the sunsets on our large patio deck overlooking the paddle board pond and green pastures. Enjoy fishing at our pond • Play a game of pickleball on our outdoor courts • Take a leisurely walk on our 11 acre trail course around the park • Feel at home using our clean on site showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities. • Refuel at our clubhouse’s general store, which features drinks, snacks, and other camping amenities. • Tent camping is limited to a maximum of 10 days within any 30-day period to help maintain the quality and comfort of our facilities. We are not currently able to accommodate long-term tent camping. • If you are tent camping and require access to laundry facilities, an additional fee will apply. Please contact park management for details on the associated cost. • For the comfort and safety of all guests, tent camping requires a proper tent setup. My family and I had a wonderful time camping here!! Huge open tent sites, with beautiful scenery and clean amenities! Many board games to play as well as an absolutely sweet host!!

This campsite is amazing...plenty of room to pitch your tent or car camp. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Some road noise due to tent area so close but not a deal breaker. Hosts are very responsive to any questions you ask.

Well this was just a lovely stop along our travels. I almost don't want to tell more people, or it will lose its private, quiet feel. We got in around 9pm, saw an adorable duck pond. Keith greeted us and showed us to our spot, and we enjoyed a night under the stars, listening to distant cows, coyotes and Canada geese. In the morning, we got to use the awesome bathroom + shower (nobody waiting on me!) and saw llamas and horses at the nearby ranch. It was lovely, we felt safe. My dog loved laying out in the field in his element. And this couple run a very clean and professional RV stop and business. Thank you both so much!

Campsite was very spacious, large open field, peace & quiet. Hosts were superb. Very helpful and courteous. They maintain the campground like professionals. A Great place to stay, be it one day or one week.

My daughter and I had so much fun here! The sunsets are gorgeous! The site is meticulously maintained. The lounge and store are spot on! We were able to enjoy two State Parks within driving distance. We felt safe here! Will definitely be back!
