Tuscarora Glade at Dale Hollow Lake
Exquisite Land.
Ralph had quite the piece of land that stretched alongside a ravine, built with multiple streams and multiple waterfalles that all lead out to Dale Hollow Lake within a mile. The landscape offered multiple opportunites that most can't. During our visit in the rain caused the group to get real muddy but it added to the experience of camping. The vast variety of animals that live nearby are exquisite as well such as the Bard Owl. You can mimick their call and quite a few will actually show up close to you and it was quite an experience. All in all, Ralphs land although may not be the best for sleeping still offers quite the abundance of features that most other campsites cannot offer.

One of the best
I don’t even know where to start to explain how amazing this location is. I will start off by saying Ralph the landowner and host is one of the most amazing human beings that I’ve met in a long time. It’s refreshing moving from New Jersey to South Carolina and now my permanent home in Kentucky and meeting a gentleman like Ralph was so refreshing. When we arrived, he met us there and made sure he showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We didn’t have any issues at all, but he was always just a text away through the Hipcamp contact. As you could see in the pictures that are already up there the views are amazing. I brought my wife with me, and the outhouse was very superb. We even had a chance to listen to some owls at night while we were there. Definitely early in the season for us and there was no leaves on the tree but I can tell you that during the warmer months is going to be shade almost 90% of the day there which is beautiful. Can’t wait to get back and enjoy another peaceful weekend.

Nice Getaway
Ralph was an awesome host and very insightful about all the nature around his property. We were able to have free rein in our area and not have to worry about disturbing anyone. If anyone is looking for a little place to themselves for a night or two I would highly recommend this spot!

Tuscarora Glade at Dale Hollow Lake
My husband & I and our two pups had a great time camping here. It was very peaceful and quiet. We experienced lots of wildlife and the scenery was gorgeous. Ralph and his wife came down to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed and told us about plenty of things to do around the area. Great hosts and a great camping spot.

Great view and peacefulness
What are you looking for in a campsite? Quiet, remote, beautiful views of a valley with a hike to a magnificent lake? If you said yes to all of this, make sure you book with Ralph. Ralph has an amazing land for you to put up your tent and just relax. Great trees for hammocks and even a private compost bathroom setup. The host is also a very friendly person who will ensure that you are taken care of by giving you anything he can to assist with your trip and offering local information for visitors to see. You cannot go wrong with this site. A++++ for Ralph and his beautiful campsite. We will be back!
