Tuscarora Glade at Dale Hollow Lake
My husband & I and our two pups had a great time camping here. It was very peaceful and quiet. We experienced lots of wildlife and the scenery was gorgeous. Ralph and his wife came down to greet us and made sure we had everything we needed and told us about plenty of things to do around the area. Great hosts and a great camping spot.

Great view and peacefulness
What are you looking for in a campsite? Quiet, remote, beautiful views of a valley with a hike to a magnificent lake? If you said yes to all of this, make sure you book with Ralph. Ralph has an amazing land for you to put up your tent and just relax. Great trees for hammocks and even a private compost bathroom setup. The host is also a very friendly person who will ensure that you are taken care of by giving you anything he can to assist with your trip and offering local information for visitors to see. You cannot go wrong with this site. A++++ for Ralph and his beautiful campsite. We will be back!

We loved the privacy of this site. The outhouse was nice. Huge fire pit and he had wood ready for us! Will stay here again next time!

Slice of Heaven!
Wow! Awesome place and awesome host. Host has this place set up for you to enjoy. The privy (outhouse) was clean as a whistle. The site is well maintained and obviously he cares about making it perfect. He greeted me upon arrival, made sure I had everything I need, and let me know I could contact him for help with anything. His intentions were to be available, but to not intrude upon my experience. I thwarted his plan by insisting he come hang out with me for a while. Great company with a very down-to-earth attitude and interesting conversation. I heard no traffic, saw no trash, and was never bothered by another human. I do a LOT of primitive camping/boondocking. This was by far the best experience I've ever had in an established campsite and best campsite host. If you're looking for a spot near Byrdstown, Tennessee, don't even bother looking elsewhere, as there's little chance you'll find a better experience. If you treat mother nature's gifts with respect, you get it.

Unplugged paradise
As a quick note, Ralph’s property is aaaaahmazing. It is and has everything that you need to experience the simple joy of being outdoors. A composting toilet, running water, a large fire pit with some seating and a tent area that seemed to have been padded with mulch or something of the sorts. A very pleasant surprise, for sure. The location gives you a feeling of seclusion without having to hike deep into the wilderness. My party consisted of three women and we felt incredibly safe, which is a huge bonus.
The hosts, Ralph and Paige, we’re also incredible. They greeted us when we arrived and took the time to show us around and make sure we had everything set up and squared away before leaving. Ralph even made sure to bring us a load of dry firewood since we had arrived shortly after a storm. They also had a Dale Hollow travel guide for us to reference for all of the nearby attractions.
**there are a couple things that should be noted. The biggest one being there is questionable cell service here, which we knew about from the listing. I have T-Mobile and got a sporadic signal, very sporadic. My friend has Verizon and had at least two bars the whole time. I can assure you, you do not miss the electronics while you are here.
The other thing would be to give yourself time when you stay here. We were traveling through and only stayed one night so we didn’t get to fully appreciate Tuscarora Glade but we loved the little bit of time we did get. 100% recommend.
