Quidditch Meadow Group Site
Scrumpy Forest Farm is straight-up magical. Paula is a generous and kind host who made us feel right at home. She welcomed us to her beautiful land, helped us settle in, and shared the farm’s magic. The Quidditch field was perfect for our group campout: open enough to stargaze, yet surrounded by trees that made the space feel wild, safe, and tucked away from the world.
The cozy kitchen had everything we needed—and honestly, I caught myself wishing it was my everyday kitchen. We even got to build chickadee birdhouses as a little nature craft project, which was such a fun bonus. And Etta the dog was adorable.
Scrumpy Forest is one of those rare places that feels grounded and enchanting at the same time. Whether you’re visiting for a campout, a project, or one of their community events, I’d 100% recommend it.

We had a great stay at Paula's Scrumpy Farest :) Her communication was clear, the bathroom was clean, and the site felt private even though there were other campers nearby. We also really enjoyed getting to talk with Allison, who helps Paula run the operation! If we are ever back in the area, we would love to camp here again!

Quidditch Meadow Group Site
Our church group stay here for 3 days and we all had a great time! The host was there to greet us at arrival and direct us to our campsite. During our stay Paula invited our group to a sheep milking and that was a lot of fun, especially for the kids! We also got to pet the sheep and hold/pet a chicken.
There is a lot of room for larger groups to spread out. We had about 25 in our group and had all the room we wanted for games and the kids to run around.
The toilet is a composting toilet, but it's the next best thing to a flushing toilet. Many in our group took showers and had no complaints. We had a few complaints about the parking situation (2 cars allowed at the campsite, 3 at the entrance to the farm), but we are from the suburbs with allergies to hiking/walking long distances, even on nice days. 😀

Myself and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our tent camping at Pot Belly 2 campsite. With a short 5-ish minute walk you gain access to showers and toilet. Plenty of tree cover so the afternoon sun wasn't blasting us or our tent. I would definitely recommend.

The site was just as described, our 1 night stay was good! My only feedback is to please add a description of how to find the bathroom. We arrived after dark and set up our tents with headlamps and couldn’t find the bathroom until we had daylight the next day. I was trying really hard not to shine my light into other people’s tents while I was looking for the bathroom and that meant that I probably missed it without a description of where to look.

Potbelly Two Drive-Up Campsite
This was a really serene campsite surrounded by trees and tons of plants. Lots of bird song throughout the day. PotBelly Two was very private and easily fit our group (6 people in one small trailer and one tent). It was a bit of a walk to the bathroom but the composting toilet was really clean and had a conveyer belt system to remove waste. There was also running water for hand washing and showering. Most members of the group didn't have cell service (but I did).

Glad to find this last minute spot in the Scrumpy Forest. The sites were spread throughout a forested area along a woodchip path. The other campers' tents were in view but mostly spaced for privacy. The bathroom was beautifully constructed and maintained. Though, because of the long walk to the sites (1000 yards pretty sure?), it was a lot of work to pack in and pack out for just one night.

I hope more people trying to find a nice place to camp in Mount Hood discover the hidden gem. I do a lot of camping up here so I know that it’s got some things that you may not find at all campgrounds… First of all the water is magnificent! Taste, so refreshing, no chemicals, and no bottle needed. Second of all, there are showers! In the warm summer month when you’ve been out playing all day long, you’re really gonna wanna come back to camp and take a shower. And then… There’s the views and the wildflowers and the deer and the birds. This place is just a little slice of heaven.

Wonderful private spot, with shade from the trees right next to it, easy loop so I didn't have to back up the trailer. Really kind people living and working on the farm, lots of awesome animals to say hi to, berries too. Near a lot of outdoor activities.

We loved this stay! It was an easy, flat walk and the directions were super clear to find the tent. We were caught in some unexpected rain, but can say we stayed perfectly dry and comfortable in the canvas tent. Due to the weather we didn’t explore too much, but I’m sure we will be back!!

This place is a dream! Majestic views, wild flowers, serenity, natural beauty and showers! So very private. My family does a lot of camping and this Scrumpy Farest at the top of my list. I would like to say that it’s a bit of a walk from car to camp spot. They do provide a wagon (quite helpful) to help carry your camping gear in. Also, the well water is crystal clear and so satisfying. The host is accommodating, helpful, and friendly.

Such an awesome spot! We got the furnished tent site and the tent was awesome! There were a few small blankets provided which I thought was super nice and thoughtful for sitting out in chairs. I slept so peacefully with the sounds of the birds. Very nice to have the wagon provided to take your stuff to your camp. I will most likely be back, the host was very sweet and provided information instantly for the campsite. My first Hipcamp experience and Paula helped to make it wonderful!

The property was beautiful. Lots of room to explore and meet the aninals . The bed mats were surprisingly comfortable. I slept very well on them. The morning when we woke up the hosts family and son brought us fresh raspberry and a baby duck for us to hold which made my entire day!
My only "complaints" was how confusing it was to find my site. And how far the trek is from parking to your camp site. The host does provide wagons and they were a god send. After I found my site and got settled it was great!

This location is so beautiful! Was a beautiful stop to end a 6-day camping trip from east to west. Loved how quiet and still and dark the woods are. There are lights that illuminate the path. Plenty of space from other camp sites, there were 2 other groups there and we all felt secluded enough.
Two things that were not mentioned in the listing that feel extremely important to know (and the other guests were all also surprised and frustrated) is that 1 - the driveway entrance is basically hidden so try to arrive during daylight if possible, and google maps might take you to a location around the corner. 2 - when you arrive you will have to park and grab a *very tiny* wagon and then walk 5-15 minutes to your campsite. There are maps that don't really make any sense. This was frustrating to have to go back and forth quite far for what we needed to set up.
We loved our stay but wish we knew these details before hand!

Loving exploring Mt Hood from this great location. Even without leaving we have a serene and secluded campground, there’s farm animals and deer, fields of wild flowers, huckleberries, and too many special treats to discover here. Working and playing up here for the summer and this place exceeded and continues to exceed our expectations. The host is awesome! Definitely feel comfortable to refer this location to others.

I loved camping at this beautiful spot! Paula was communicative and easy to book with. The spots were easy to find with clear signage, and the showers and bathroom were a big plus. There is a road that runs behind the camp sites but traffic is low. Overall a lovely place and I would stay here again.

Really comfy, fairly private and well appointed spaces. It’s a bit of a walk from parking, but host provides little wagons. Bathroom and shower were great, and we were welcomed by the host to stargaze in the nearby pasture.

This place is wonderful. The forested area where we camped was serene and beautiful. The newly built shower was a big plus! There’s so much to see. We had a buck walk right into our campsite. It’s a great place for star gazing and did I mention the wild flowers and blackberries ?!

I LOVED tent camping here!! The property is absolutely gorgeous, and beyond peaceful.
The tent campsites are well marked and spacious. The bathroom is convenient and very nice.
Bonus being able to wander the land and interact with the sheep, chicken, ducks.
Was a joy to see what Paula has done with this amazing property.
