My partner and I needed a campsite that was easily accessible as we were coming to tow. To search for land to buy. This spot was perfect for our needs and the host was incredibly communicative and accommodating!!! Plenty of privacy with wildflowers to watch thru the mist in the morning. 100% cell service and 5 mins from town. Very bare bones but perfect for us.

The site was VERY private. I took a 25 foot travel trailer to the site but it wasn’t for the faint of heart! Rough, narrow path but doable with a 4WD tow vehicle.
The site was spotless, freshly mowed, level and they included an enormous pile of firewood!
The hosts were VERY generous with suggestions for things to do and where to eat. We took advantage of both.
Never met the hosts face to face, but that’s fine. They gave us our privacy, but were quick to respond with texted questions.
HIGHLY recommend!!!

The host(s) were so kind! I didn’t get in until late but they met me to lead me to the site. The site itself was BEAUTIFUL!!! The lightning bugs gave me a light show at night and it was unreal. Highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Meadow Basecamp in Freeville, NY. We were looking for a quick 1 night getaway into nature and had a great time. There’s a very nice fire ring (with wood) and a compost toilet. Just little things to make the night better. We listened to the frogs and saw lots of stars. We slept great. The host was very quick to respond and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend to others.

Very private and safe spot tucked away in the corner of a large meadow with a fantastic firefly show. Many nice touches, including a stocked toilet and dry firewood thanks to a tarp. Easy drive into Ithaca. Highly recommend!

This was a great campsite! It was easy to find and very, very secluded. We didn’t hear anything but the sound of nature and we were able to see the stars. Firewood and a trash can were provided which we were very grateful for. The fire pit was also very well constructed. This was a great spot for chilling around a fire and relaxing. We were very happy with this site. It was exactly what we were looking for: private, secluded, and isolated in a beautiful meadow. Highly recommend this site for anyone looking for privacy and a relaxation getaway in nature.

The site was very private, quiet, and clean! Fire pit was very cute, bathroom and garbage can were helpful. Driving to the site in our small/low car on the grass path was a little worrisome but even in the rain we made it through fine. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to camp

We loved our stay at the Meadow! Really is a great getaway. So close to Ithaca, definitely hit up the Ithaca farmers market. The spot is secluded with the perfect amount of trees. Wild life was awesome, geese, deer, frogs. I wouldn’t totally rely on the firewood, we had to forage and cut quite a bit of our own and we also brought three bundles for one night. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. We will definitely be back to the meadow😊

We had a great stay at Meadows. The hosts were very helpful providing directions and had the campsite all ready for us. The location is very secluded but still close to restaurants and breweries. It's a great location being only 20 minutes from Ithaca!

My visit to the Base Camp was blissful. My first word to come to mind. It was just what I was looking for. The layout was perfect. The host's were friendly, and helpful. After a brief hello with the host, I drove a short ways to the camp, and It was blissful solitude. I felt like I had everything I needed there. I hope I will make it back there soon.

Beautiful campsite that was just enough off the beaten path. Kids enjoyed running around the meadow and catching grasshoppers while our pup gave chase. Plenty or room for my family and inlaws to spread out. Peaceful at night with stars above and sounds of nature all around. Had a wonderful time watching the eclipse.

My first time staying at meadow Basecamp and it was awesome! Very nice fire pit and the owners were very kind and supplied wood. There’s a compost outhouse that is very clean. The land is very quiet and safe and I really hope to stay here again. A++++
