Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.

Gateway to your adventures between the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks. Granville, NY and Poultney, Vermont - we're on the NY/VT border. This is a sweet campsite, and we'll hang a hammock for you. Tent site: Set up your tent here, and enjoy the campfire ring, picnic table, and umbrella set up for a nice end to your day. You have shared access to a 1/2 bath and kitchen in the garage. Cabin site: Pretty cabin on the pond has electricity and its own fire ring and BBQ. Camp kitchen and Envirolet toilet in the garage. Close to Poultney Vermont's Slate Valley Trails- a great Mountain Bike trail system, very popular and well-maintained. We live in the log home, and have chickens and a dog. There are easy paths for Forest bathing in the Hemlocks.Pretty pond-side cabin, behind the garage. Double bed, electricity, and a ceiling fan. Cabin is behind the garage, semi-private. There is a BBQ setup and a campfire ring on a patio. A little sand beach and lounge chairs make this a comfortable spot. Camper kitchen and 1/2 bath (Envirolet) in the garage. A shower tent and rain barrel for washing up.

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin. All trash can go in garage. We offer a compost pot in the camp kitchen.

Cooking equipment present

Grill over firepit, bbq, communal, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Kitchen set up in the garage. Your own BBQ and fire ring. Wood is provided.

Picnic table with benches and an umbrella next to the cabin.

Easy tent site with all the fixings

Highly recommend Granville Grotto!! The hosts, Gael, Rich, their dog Gypsy and flock of chickens, are so welcoming! Great amenities (inc. free camp wood, wifi, composting toilet, camp kitchen) and location. You're close to Lake George, climbing, hiking, swimming, as well as the green mountains

Grotto cabin for 3 season stays

Really great area for a getaway with kayaking, biking and hiking not too far away. Comfortable bed and thoughtful touches with battery operated lights amd a fan, dry firewood and fire starters.

Grotto cabin for 3 season stays

Gael and Rich were incredibly hospitable! They gave us a tour of the property upon arrival and had many camping amenities readily available for us! This was a great host for the “glamping” type who want the appeal of camping, but with a little more of the amenities! Highly recommend!
