It was nice property to camp at. Lot's to do around the area, so we were never really bored. At the site there was a garbage, picnic table and some fire maintenance equipment when we got, which was nice. It definitely by a still body of water, so the bugs were pretty bad, and the sound of trains and cars may wake you up in the morning, but there's really nothing you can do about that. If you go into it knowing these things and prepare for them, you'll be fine!

I should have listened to the other reviews.... but I didn't. This place has potential, but the bugs are so bad we couldn't spend any time at the campsite. There is a very slimy pond right next to the campsite that seems to be the source of the bugs.
If you have an RV or trailer it's extremely tight to turn around. There is also a ton of shade so our solar panels couldn't charge.
Although I strongly
believe in leaving a place better than I found it, I don't like to pay $100/night to pick up other people's trash, including soggy toilet paper. This actually seems like a health hazard.
If you ignore all the warnings, you may, like us, still have trouble finding the site. The campsite is on the right side of the dirt track, not the left (so don't keep going down the track looking for something on the left!)

Very expensive for what the place is: grubby bench, dirty hammock and extremely noisy (cars, trains and bar somewhere) Too bad!!

The site looked lovely, but is right next to stagnet water. There were more mosquitoes than I have ever seen. If you opened the car door for a second to get in or out at least 4 would get in. We were warned of them, but it was more than I could handle and we went home without camping.

Damien was great with answering our questions and replying fast. Overall, we were very happy with this site for our 1 night. Though it is near the road and you can hear cars during the day, the noise quited down at night and it is far enough back in the woods that you have a lot of privacy. No other people walking around. I will say, BRING HEAVY DUTY BUG SPRAY and bug candles as there is an enormous amount of mosquitos there! After we covered ourselves with the spray and the tent and made a fire they calmed down but we prob would not stay for a extended time at this site. We loved that it was super close to the beach access which is pretty private vs the main beach and very close to the yummy pizza place called Stop 50, open fri/sat/sun. The brewery that was near by moved locations closer to the downtown area.

We could not get to the campsite because the road was flooded. We had to camp on the road entrance. We could not even walk to the site due to the flooding. Mosquitoes were unbearable but part of camping. I think the owner should have let us know about the water, especially since the price was $105.00. Would not go back due to the high price.

Damian was a great host during our stay! Our trip was cut a bit short due to weather but Damian gave us a partial refund which was very nice and unexpected. The campsite itself was amazing, it was very private which was just what we were hoping for and we appreciated the firewood and garbage can provided. The hammock was a pleasant surprise as well. We couldn’t recommend this site anymore and had a great experience for our first Hipcamp trip :)

This is a great site! Much more private than staying at the national park grounds and easy to find! The owner is responsive, would recommend to friends.

Site was easy to find once we drive through the green gate. Site was prepared with logs and sticks upon arrival, which was super nice! My partner and I enjoyed walking to the brewery down the street for live music at the end of a long day of hiking and beaching around IN Dunes National Park. Definitely would recommend and return in the future!

Our stay featured a private wooded lot, conveniently next to a brewery for cool refreshments. Accessing the camp was hassle-free, and it caters to both RVs and tents. A serene pond enhanced the scenery, though bugs were around, so bug spray is advised. Ample firewood was available, and the site's proximity to the beach and Indiana Dunes National Park enriched our stay.

This is a great spot to set up while you enjoy exploring the dune shores! It feels very private and secluded but you’re close to everything. The site is set up nicely with lots of space for tents or an rv. The brewery next door is a short walk and well worth checking out! The host was very responsive and understanding as well. I’d recommend this site to anyone exploring the area.

What a great place to stay , very private back in the woods , but close to many urbam convienences, was close to the beach and restaurants. Great for a quick getaway! We were able to get our camper in and out fairly easily , all in all very relaxing and beautiful, would definently stay again!

Amazingly private and well maintained! Damian was super kind and accommodating when I accidentally booked the wrong night. Very close to a lot of accommodations, but feels like you’re in the middle of nature. The little pond was awesome. Our dogs had a great time!

This campsite is beautiful! We had a great time staying at this peaceful and private spot. The host stocked the site with plenty of firewood. It’s a super convenient place to stay after a day at the Indian Dunes. Highly recommend!

Had a great time at this site, and was still very close to the beach and supermarket/etc! We got to the site to find logs and sticks already piled up for the fire. Great experience for a quick night of camping! Definitely recommend, 10/10 !
