My boyfriend and I had the best weekend, camping on Kerry’s land! He is very hospitable! Knowing my birthday was approaching, he gave me some fresh maple syrup, as a gift, to take home! 🥰 Very private location. We ABSOLUTELY plan on returning! Already made plans. 😉 Kerry and his land come very highly recommended! If you’re looking for the perfect getaway. From people, from all the demands of everyday life, Happy Hollow Homestead is the place to go! ❤️

Kerry's homestead is fabulous. I'm an entomologist and he let me use some electricity to set up a collecting light at night. I spent most if not all of my time wandering around in the woods and watching my fire. No mosquitoes and an amazing number of fireflies.

Me and my friends booked this place and it was amazing! It was our first time camping outdoor and didn’t know what to expect but this was everything we needed. Kerry was very accommodating! He provided us with fishing and canoeing places nearby. We went to one of the place which was only 11 minutes away. The canoeing was so much fun. I would totally recommend this place if you’re someone looking for a fun getaway with friends or family.

Our family of 5 had a great time camping at HAPPY HOLLOWS! The property is very unique and had many features that stand out from other campgrounds. Kerry was very attentive and had many great stories to tell. The dogs on the property were all so sweet, and a great surprise for our kids. We would gladly come back in the cooler months

We had a great time camping at Happy Hollow Homestead. The weekend we went was during the neighborhood's Summer Solstice party, and even though we didn't attend, it was a good time. (We were invited to the party, just chose not to go because we were honeymooning.) There is practically no cell service in the whole area of Marengo, but Kerry has wi-fi over the whole property, so we were still able to be reached if needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back.

The owner, Kerry, met us and showed us to our site. It was awesome. He gave us a quick tour of the property so we would be able to find our way around. Kerry pointed out some key features toilet/shower, walking trails, property lines, etc. It was a good stay and I didn’t have any problems or issues. The owners dog wandered over to say hi which was awesome. I will stay here again.

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Happy Hollow! The woodland is beautiful, the campsite was incredibly relaxing, and Kerry was an incredible, attentive host who helped guide us to our lot even at around 11PM. The site was deep enough in the forest to be wonderfully quiet, while also being not too bad from groceries/general stores in the nearby town. I will say, my partner was scared half to death during early morning when he heard an animal walking around - it turned out to be a very sweet dog named Jersey, who was so very excited to both give and receive snuggles. Definitely would recommend this spot!

Under a thick forest canopy in a verdant hollow in southern Indiana, Kerry has crafted a bespoke camp that reflects a curiosity and investment in sustainable living with some modern comforts. The grounds are walkable featuring a variety of campsites. Fellow campers feel like woodland neighbors without being right next to each other. And Kerry, a welcoming host, ushered me from the road through the woods, answered questions and shared stories of the land. We talked about structural projects across the Happy Hollow and investigations into waterways & sinkholes inn the area. 11/10 would return.

I camped here with a group of friends, and we had a wonderful time. The land is beautiful and teeming with wildlife, Kerry was very friendly and helpful, and we got to mostly disconnect from the outside world for the evening. Recommend!

Nice relaxed vibe, the kids really enjoyed the dogs, pigs, and sky net! Great alternative to packed state parks, lots of space to spread out and have privacy.

It was beautiful and the unique. We got the 5 bundles which was perfect to have a fire through half the night. Kerry is a great host. You tell him what you’re looking for in a spot, and he will find you the perfect spot. Lots of trees and fire pits. We will be back!

The time I had there was a perfect separation from the world I needed. Secluded enough to be away from stress yet it close enough to a town to get supplies if forgotten. I will be returning to this site. Kerry was more than flexible in finding a spot that fit our needs and was available if we needed something or needed information. Also loved the visitor that stopped by an hour she can take a break. I believe his name is Maynard!

I stayed in the A-frame with my dog for 2 nights. The A-frame is better than camping on the ground as it has a queen sized mattress inside; however, there's no door on the A-frame yet so I got a little wet when it rained and the shower near our campsite was not working. Kerry offered the other site to me, which was 10 bucks cheaper, but I really liked the location of the A-frame. In hindsight, I think we would have been better off at the other site that has a door and is closer to the working shower.
Kerry is a friendly host who works hard to maintain the land and live sustainably. He recommended a gorgeous hike to Hemlock Cliffs, which was really the highlight of our stay. I loved being close to nature for a few days to defrag my brain.

This place rocks. Very serene and lots of beautiful nature to explore. The host Kerry is super nice and welcoming and willing to help. Outhouses are well kept and remove any fear you may have of the old fashioned. There’s also a really sweet dog that may periodically visit your campsite. Would especially reccomend this place if you are looking for a quieter and more primitive camping experience. This is definitely my new go-to for camping in the Kentuckiana area.
