Our stay was perfect, reception very attentive. We stayed by the lake. The camping had live music at night with a very pleasant vibe. Every minute was worth it! Super clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!

Good value for price. Plenty of space in dispersed camping area. Easy access. Amenities included weekend music entertainment and fishing lake.

This find was great for us and what we needed. Desperately looked for a tent and car camping (rooftop tent) spot for a last minute overnight on a cross-country road trip. Had no idea how difficult it is to find something like this, with check-in time requirmeents, reservation systems, etc. Frustrating! So finding this was a life-saver. We didn't arrive until 11.30pm but that was no problem at Buck Lake. Directions to their open field for car camping were spot on, and we found it in dark. There were tons of RVs and a few other car/tent campers. Felt safe and like they knew what they were doing. Site was well organized. Spot is what I would describe as farm-country pretty. Wouldn't come here again as a destination to camp. Would definitely overnight here again if it were again on another trip route.

Checked in late/after hours and wasnt able to figure out which field they wanted tents in. But there were plenty of open spots so i just pulled into one for the night. The bathrooms by the water were a welcome spot of running water and power, and were quite clean. The shower rooms were not great or terribly clean but they would do in a pinch. Everyone i encountered was very friendly. Fireflies put on quite a spectacular light show!

What a quaint quiet little campground we found waiting for us when we arrived after 10 o'clock at night. I get the feeling that it can be a bustling place at times, as it has a sort of nostalgic feel to it. Well kept up, clean and welcoming. We had a great night's sleep car camping there. There was some road noise, but it didn't bother our sleep...just felt out-of-place in an otherwise serene setting. I loved the flush toilets too!

The site is welcoming, large, and easy to find. The primitive (tent) sites are in a big field that is right next to I-69 so you hear the sound of trucks on the highway all night. The whole place is much more set up as an RV park with what seems to be a significant permanent or semi-permanent group of residents.
We stayed while moving across the country with a large U-Haul and our car, dog, cat, kid, etc. The folks who are staying there and working there were incredibly kind and welcoming and even helped us get our stupid car out of a tree when she escaped the truck.

Other then the mosquitos it was great the staff is very attentive and willing to help. My kids and i had a great time.

Camped the primitive sites on 4th of July weekend with my husband and 2 boys. We picked our spot in the field available (i recommend bringing a canopy or something for shade) and the workers delivered a fire ring and the wood we purchased, to our site almost immediately.
The grounds have been kept,to what looks to be like its authentic charm, and were for the most part well kept.
The performers on saturday were amazing and put on a great show and the firework show they put on was just as great.
We definitely will be back again
