We are located right off of highway 30. If you are coming in off of I15 you will continue on highway 30 passing Lava Hot Springs. You will see the KOA East on your right hand side. After passing the KOA East you will start going up a hill. Continue up the hill for .5 miles. You will see a Lava Campground sign take you first right onto Fish Creek Road and then another immediate right onto Fish creek extension road. This road will bring you down into the campground. Lava Campground is a local family owned Campground. Cameron and Annie along with their 2 boys Kash and Jaxson built Lava Campground from the ground up. They have always embraced the company of others and love when people can come stay and play with them. When they decided to build a campground they were excited about the possibility to create a place for people to feel at home and have a great time camping. They have an endless need for adventure, anything outdoors and fun- sign them up! They have fallen in love with the campground and being part of the Lava Hot Springs community. The new friends they've made during ownership have been priceless to them. Each year Cam and Annie continue to make improvements to the campground. The creativity they hold is endless and their goal is to make the campground a place where people truly want to be and hope that people feel like part of their family during their stay. Lava Campground is a gem and unique. Cam and Annie came up with the idea to rent out the vintage campers which has become the theme for Lava Campground. They've designed the entire property to give a blast from the past kind of feeling. With a vintage playground, glamping wall tents, 5 remodeled retro campers, studio apartment, and spacious RV and tents sites. The location offers the perfect balance of being close to local attractions and conveniences while enjoying a relaxed country atmosphere, located just 1 mile East of Lava Hot Springs passed KOA East on the Portneuf River and Fish creek border you will be close to all Lava Hot Springs has to offer. A walking trail along the mountain from the campground Is 1/2 mile to Lava Hot Springs. Beautiful views and a playground for the kids. Enjoy your stay at Lava Campground without having to camp. NO pets The space: This home is located right before you enter Lava Campground. It has two bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a kitchen on the main floor and 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom in the basement. Lots of room For parking. In the backyard you will find a covered porch, grassy area with firepit. Just beyond the backyard there is an RV hookup that can be reserved with house for additional fee. Close to the campground to be able to hang out with your group. Enjoy fishing and playing in the river located near the tent sites in the campground. Fun retro playground for the kids to enjoy and a walking trail to Lava Hot Springs 1/2 mile away. Guest access: There are two different rentals in this house. A studio apartment and pergola is located on the side of the house and is not accessible to guests staying in the home rental. There is also a maintenance building near the home that is not accessible. All other areas are open to guests. The campground areas also open to guests staying in this rental. Other things to note: There is a studio apartment located on the side of the home that is not included in the rental. Please be respectful of other guests staying. We asks that guests use a 10pm-8am quiet time.

We enjoyed our stay at Lava Campground. It was easy to find and pull into out space. The camping area was uncrowded and the grounds and facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is convenient to the hot springs pools and downtown.

Good hosts! Nice folks! They need to update their photos as they do NOT reflect accurately. We were expecting a microwave and refrigerator in our vintage RV and there were none. Apparently, they had remodeled them a while back and have not updated the photos and info.

I would come here again, but I would just choose a different spot for my tent. #C was quite small and almost nowhere to park. The host very nicely gave me a different place to park my car with no change in fee. The campground is big and has lots of options. A nice .6 mile walk into town and to the Hot Springs. I appreciated the ice being available, but I missed seeing any recycling containers.

No one tells you it is right next to the highway and you hear everything! So disappointing because the campground was cute. Camp spots are also very small.

Great site with clean spots, clean showers and clean bathrooms. Right next to the river and just a few miles from the hot pools. Awesome place to relax for a weekend.

Great location, easy access, super great camp host. We had the place to ourselves, since we came so late in the season, and loved loved loved the hot springs! 5 stars, highly recommended!

What a great idea for glamping! Very comfy beds, clean and convenient spot. Love when there's firewood onsite because it's not always readily available in town. Would definitely stay here again.

I love RV camping on Lava's land. Everything was working, water and electricity was available. Very well maintained parking spot and good and clean bathroom and showers. Really recommend 👌

Simple clean large campground, just above Lava Hot Springs town. There's eve a walking path to town. #1 had a little stream and some trees.

Great campground! Easy to navigate and park the trailer, even in the dark. Bathrooms and showers were super nice and clean. Would stay here again.

No shade. Raccoons. Lack of staff. Weird bathroom situation. But it was quiet and level with a nice picnic table. And the location is great.

This is a large campground. Very clean, a lot of people but quiet!! We were exhausted so didn't participate in out door life but we could have been on a mountain top by ourselves! Our campsite was a nice size and plenty of room to back in however, we would not have had as easy of time if the site in front of us was full. As I said this is a large quiet campground but it is also clean!! We saw no sign of garbage. The sites were full if people and kids everywhere but no garbage, no load noises and everyone was respectful of space.

It turned out to be a bit bigger than I expected, but a cool area. We were able to walk over to the hot springs in about 30 minutes. Clean with potable water and dump station nearby if needed. We had power only nice to run the AC cuz it started out to be pretty warm but then cooled off
