The IO's Hale studio is perched high on the Pu'u overlooking sweeping ocean and countryside views. A breath of nature.... Nearby Akaka Falls, is one of Hawaii's favorite nature sites. IO's nest is a private enclosed living area with spacious open Lanai. Enjoy an opportunity to spend time in the beauty of nature. Comfortably accommodates two people with queen bed. Bathroom facilities nearby. Covered parking.The IO NEST OUTLOOK with it marvelous views of countryside and ocean is located 3 miles above Honomu town. Only minutes away from Akaka Falls and about 20 minutes from Hilo. The gazebos is located on a private site away from the main farm house. Experience the tranquility that surrounds you. Covered parking is available for one vehicle and a short path to the entry. Full size bed in a cozy covered living area that extends to an open lanai with a spectacular view. Lanai has shaded sitting area via shade umbrella. Bathroom/shower is a short walking distance away.

We loved the Io’s nest! Spectacular view of the Hamakua coast. Super quiet, but not a far drive from Hilo town. There’s an outdoor shower and toilet a little walk away. And bonus- you can pet some donkeys if you’re in the mood!

Sweet Hale
Krystles's home is in a gorgeous area surrounded by plant life. The place feels very private and is perched on the side of a hill overlooking the surrounding flora and coastline. They were super friendly and instructions very clear. So hospitable and had everything I could possibly need. In the morning the donkeys were hugging in the middle of the road, the sweetest sight ever!!! I passed safely by and one of them followed me to the gate, so I got out to make sure he/she didn't follow me out and to say hi, so sweet!!! I told him/her to go back after a few nose rubs and he/she turned around and waited for the gate to close. Best send off ever. Shower was private, hot, and loved the tile texture in the backsplash. Very enjoyable stay here, wish I coulda stayed longer. Mahalo nui loa, Krystle!

Absolutely unreal stay! What an experience to stay on the hillside and have such a spectacular view of the land and ocean. The space was clean and organized, and was exactly as pictured. Krystle and Ascot both greeted me when I arrived. I had every amenity I needed, and was able to get fresh food everyday from local vendors and shops in Honomu. It's perfectly situated to make it easy to access so many sites on the north east side of the island, from Vanilla farms to downtown Hilo. I can't wait to come back in the future.

Beautiful property with amazing views! Krystle showed us around and clearly took pride in the home. The donkeys, sheep, boar and cats were so fun to watch as well. Would highly recommend!
