Coffee In order to preserve water we utilize clean non-smelling composting toilets. We also have 4 hot water showers, 2 sinks and vanity areas. Please keep showers to 5 min or less, Mahalo. If you come with a 4-wheel drive vehicle you are welcome to drive farther up on to the property and park closer to your cabana, just follow the Parking signs. We do not recommend you drive up with cars or low vehicles as the terrain is a bit rough, instead please park down in front in one of the parking spaces. It was such a nice experience staying at the yurt! We were a bit afraid of the cold showers and air mattresses beforehand but this was not a problem at all. The surroundings are so beautiful and it is a very special place to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

We had a very positive experience overall. Initially, our booking was double booked. But our host went so far above and beyond to help us find a new accommodation less than a few minutes. Our new accommodation was perfect for our family of 7. He did a great job to both communicate well and to quickly resolve the issues. We had a great stay in Oahu.

My friend and I stayed here in our camper van and absolutely loved it! We had stayed at a few other remote locations, so the indoor shower here felt luxurious. We also loved the turf area and used it as a place to stretch at sunset. Definitely recommend.

We had an unforgettable time at Waipi’o Valley at Jo’el’s campsite. Hiking down into the valley felt like we were going to a different time. Being greeted by a family of wild horses before camp was so lucky. Jo’el was super welcoming, easy going, fun, very knowledgeable about the valley, its sacred traditions, and culture. We appreciated harvesting fruit for us, dipping in rivers, smelling flowers and his hospitality. While being creative and impromptu, he was also on point and adaptable to our specific needs, giving sound advice about hiking to Waimanu. Be prepared for a rugged, but enchanting experience. We were all enamored and inspired with your vitality and character, Jo’el. Thank you for welcoming us into your world and reminding us that living simply and humbly is beautiful. This place is pure magic. It is peaceful, beautiful and full of delicious fruit. Jo'el is such a kind and welcoming host and his passion for the valley shows through everything his says and does, he really made us feel at home. The river, the beach, the valley and the trail, 2 nights was just not enough! One important detail is that even if you opt to have your car taken down the road there is still a 1 mile walk and river crossing to get to the camp itself. Totally worth it...just pack accordingly.

Zak and Katies space is perfectly secluded and private with a nice composting toilet, fire pit, and swimming hole. The location is great for visiting Akaka falls, Honomū Goat Dairy, and Krishna Cow Sanctuary. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the cabana because it was like sleeping outside, but with a roof over your head to protect from the rain. Also the hammocks were better than sleeping on the ground. It was handy to have shared kitchen facilities and bathrooms. Best of all it was a very reasonable price!

I love the view from the deck it so captivating I sat there for hours with a hot cup of coffee . The property is well maintained and full of lush . Krystle was very welcoming and pleasant. Even the kids on the property was very welcoming while catching lizards in the yard … I would definitely stay here again …
